I received a digital ARC of #TheOtherWoman from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

WOW! What a book! I couldn't put this down and finished it in a day. This is one of those books that is so difficult to review without giving spoilers. I was gripped all the way through. I really disliked Pammie and felt so sorry for Emily and all that she had to put up with throughout this book. And the ending!! I mean, wow, I did not see that coming at all! I am still processing it in my head! Thoroughly enjoyed this, and given that it's a debut novel by Sandie Jones I am so excited to see what her next offering is going to be like. Can't wait to read it!! Will be recommending this book.

A quick but explosive read. Gripping from page 1 right up until the ending. One to recommend. 5* from me. My thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for the advance reader copy.

This book was suggested for me after I reviewed a book of a similar genre on Netgalley. Emily falls in love with Adam but didn't realise there was another woman in his life- his mother. His mother doesn't want to lose her son to anyone and will stop at nothing to get rid of her sons new love. I read this book in just under a day as I found I couldn't put it down. It's gripping and unpredictable- highly recommend!

This really was an enjoyable read and for a debut novel ever so impressive indeed.
I did originally um and ah a bit over whether this was for me a 4 or 5-star rating but decided to go with my gut as I enjoyed this so much.
The main reason for this tug of war was I sometimes had a hard time liking the main character Emily.
Some of her decisions and actions did border on the self-absorbed and this made it at times a teeny bit difficult for me to feel sympathetic towards her.
Yeh, her future mother In Law was a heinous nightmare that I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy but Emily wasn't a complete bed of roses herself either.
So "The Other Woman" tells the story of Emily and Adam and the power struggle between mother Pammy and future wife Emily and boy this is one squirmish that get bloody messy at times.
This was such an addictive read that easily kept my attention, its narrated from Emily's POV but also comes equipped with a fantastic cast of supporting characters that each brought something personal to the table.
I read this one super fast and just when I thought I knew where I was going it changed directions on me sending me into a tailspin of you what!
Brilliantly done; I was getting suspicious anyway so this was really just the icing on the cake for me.
A fantastic conclusion to what was an enthralling captivating experience.
Can't recommend this one enough.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of "The Other Woman" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Emily meets Adam at a conference. It's not too long before they are spending most of their time together. They want to spend the rest of their lives together but- & it's a big but- Adam's mother hates her on sight. Adam doesn't seem to see how Pammie treats Emily. At first Emily wonders if she is just imagining things but it doesn't take her long to realise that she has made a powerful enemy.

This was a book I just had to read quickly to find out how it ended- & boy was that a surprise! It's very difficult to say more in a review without spoilers so I will just cut it short with the suggestion that you read it for yourself.

Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this gripping book.

What a page turner The Other Woman by Sandie Jones was. I was hooked from the first few pages and could not put it down. What an excellent book. If you love tense, psychological thriller and full of twists and turns this is a book for you.

Emily meets a perfect Man called Adam. Or has she?

But Lurking in the shadows is a rival; an other woman who shares a very deep bond with the man Emily Loves! Adam's Mother Pammie..........there's nothing a mother wouldn't do for her beloved son.
How far with his mother go to get Emily out of her son's life? and Emily gone forever?

Thanks to Netgalley for supplying me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 ⭐️read xx

I really enjoyed The Other Woman and raced through it in a couple of days as I couldn't wait to see how it concluded. The writing style was good and I found the characters really interesting – I really didn't like mother in law Pammie and I wasn't that keen on her son, Adam, either. The twist really surprised me. It didn't finish quite like I was hoping it would but that's just me! I'd definitely recommend it to others, excellent read!

At first I thought I knew what I was reading, ie the nightmare mother-in-law but oh what a twist.....
The story moved along at a good pace and I got well into the characters, Pammie drove me crackers until the brilliant ending and I found the other characters interesting and likeable.
The writing was smooth and descriptive, I will read more from this author.

A woman’s worst nightmare is a mother-in-law from hell.

From the moment you meet Pam, the future mother-in-law in this intense psychological thriller, she becomes a thorn in the flesh. She’s a nightmare to have as a mother-in-law. It is not possible to like her at all.

Emily had no intention of having a relationship when she met Adam unexpectedly after a conference. Their relationship grew rapidly and when it became serious with marriage on the cards he took her to meet his mother, Pammie, who is widowed. On the way, in the car, Emily gets a taste of another side of Adam which she chooses to ignore because she is so in love with him.

From the moment Emily meets Pammie, her life takes a turn when she becomes the victim of Pammie’s subtle incomprehensible abuse that is difficult to confront and put a halt to. I kept wanting Emily to walk away but she determinedly continued her relationship with Adam despite this. Fortunately, Emily has her friends Pippa and Seb who support her through this ordeal. Things get worse when Adam’s brother James shows an interest in Emily.

There is a climax to the drama in Emily’s life. The apprehension while reading intensifies until the very end when Jones skilfully turns the readers’ expectations into an astounding reality that you could have become aware of in the first two chapters of the book. But it is brilliantly immersed in the text and that makes it impossible to identify.

Sensational intense reading worth the build-up to the end.

If Emily is this dense in her personal life I am amazed at her ever being such a success at work. How on earth she could not see the signs from Pammie as signs to leave quickly I will never know.

The Other Woman is such an addictive read from start to finish. A great page turner that is so easy to get through. I was feeling Emily's frustration along with her. And that twist at the end... great!

Wow wow wow. Absolutely fantastic book full of twists and turns. I genuinely did not know what to expect or how it was going to turn out. Think this has been my favourite book this year. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it. Fantastic debut and I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

I really enjoyed this modern thriller. "The Other Woman" in the title is Pammie, who is the mother of Emily's boyfriend Adam. From the minute Emily meets Pammie she can feel the womans hatred. Pammie goes out of her way to disrupt Emily's life she interferes and undermines. Emily has no idea why. When she and Adam become engaged, Pammie gets worse. Emily stays with Adam even when Pammie does her worst. This is a must read story with a brilliant twist.

This book certainly kept me guessing - and I'm sure it'll surprise other readers, too! A deliciously twisty read, with relatable characters.

I would firstly like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to read this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

When Emily meets Adam she knows he is the one. That together they can deal with anything that is thrown at them. But lurking in the shadows is another woman, Pammie. Emily choose Adam, but she didn't choose his mother. There's nothing a mother wouldn't do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants.

What a read! I went into this book blind so I automatically assumed that the 'other woman' was a mistress or something, I didn't expect it to be about the mother-in-law! This book was different to anything I've ever read, in a good way! It was very cleverly-written and nail-biting the whole way through!

Pammie was a force not to be reckoned with! This is definitely a character that I loved to hate! She was captivating to read about and made the whole story a page-turner! I was hanging on every word as I was turning each page!

A terrifying must read that had me dreading what my future mother-in-law will be like when I get married!! Can't wait for this author's next book!!!

You can not repeat cannot leave this book alone once you start reading it ....absolutely brilliant.
This book sucks you right in till the end....5 stars...you may need a seat belt for this ride.

When Emily meets Adam and then gets to meet his mum, the alarm bells should have started ringing. Pammie really was a force to be reckoned with. She was awful to her behind her sons back and she would have made me run the other way!

You do wonder where this story is going to take you- as the first page gives you the idea that Pammie has a hidden agenda. We don't know why or what she might be capable of. But she comes across as a very over protective momma bear who wants to keep her cubs unnaturally close.

Emily has a lovely family and a close group of friends who are there for her throughout the book.

Once I settled into the story I really couldn't wait to see what happened next. I will look forward to reading more by this author.

Freaking brilliant!!!!!!!!

The book description "deliciously disturbing" and "compulsive" most certainly hits the nail on the head on this one. This psychological domestic drama had me drooling, obsessively wanting to see how far this manipulative mother would go to keep Emily away from having a relationship with her son, being flabbergasted each time I discovered how far below the belt this mother was capable of going. And then...gasp...she'd go even lower still!!!

I was thoroughly enjoying the roller coaster ride when, suddenly, a plot twist had my assumptions completely turned on its head! It had me gasping with dizziness at the story's change of direction, but at the same time had me clapping my hands in glee at how brilliantly clever the author was to turn things around 180 degrees, somehow making the book even more appealing, which is not always the case when plot directions change. I am in awe at the author's brilliance.

Do yourself a huge favour and pick this one up for your next read or else you'll be losing out. This one ticked all the boxes for me and gave me so much more than I ever expected. So much so, I'd say this one tops my list of 2018 favourites so far.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Pan MacMillan and the author Sandie Jones for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book. I will be eagerly looking forward to more of the same by this author.

Wow I loved The Other Woman and the twist at the end...... well written and definitely a must read.
Read in one sitting I was that hooked I could not put it down.

The Other Woman is the first book I've read by Sandie Jones and certainly won't be the last.
Emily meets Adam in a crowded bar and is amazed she finds an attraction to him as she has been badly hurt in the past. Things move at a fast pace and they quickly move in together and then get engaged much to the horror of Pammie the mother in law from hell. From the start Pammie has had it in for Emily with snide remarks and attention demanding acts to keep Adam's attention on herself.
This was a great read with a lot of twists and turns along the way, I found it moved along at a good pace and when it did slow for a moment there was a big reveal to get your head round. I liked Emily as a character and was on her side completely and when reading a book like this it does help to be able to identify with a character.
An enjoyable read that I struggled to put down.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.
