The characters were entertaining, with the story having romance and humour to keep you more than entertained.
This was a really easy read.

I liked this book, it's a classic fantasy plot that needs to be foiled by an unaware protagonist with an unexpected romance. Nothing groundbreaking, but just nice to read nonetheless. I liked it enough to check and see if there was another one, because I'd like to see what the author could do with the characters now they're not in the classic story line. I did think it all tied up a bit too nicely into a neat little bow though, would a reigning couple automatically give their blessing for their son to marry a commoner? Wouldn't they have to think of it politically? If they're ruling a country where children are expected to watch hangings, you'd think they'd at least debate the repercussions. Still, it was a nice story and I'm glad it ended happily, even if it was a little bit too convenient. 3.5 Stars

This was a solidly written romantic adventure albeit a trifle predictable. I enjoyed it.
My thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Get ready for a splendid tale with a touch of romance. I loved it! Many young adult readers will love this as well.

Larra Stoneworth is a strong protagonist and fiercely protective of those she loves. She lives with her grandmother and when Larra is accused of being a witch, she must go before the king and stand trial. The king's captain and his men are sent to retrieve her. Christoff is a fair man but does not want to trust a witch. And so, the journey begins.

Book two is already out. Squee! This is a book that shouldn't be overlooked. Grab your copy and settle in to the Kingdom of Aggadorn.

I loved this book, a very easy read, good back story character development and world building. I hope there are more books based in this kingdom

This was not for me. It didn't have enough of what I truly look for. I wanted so much more with a title like this

The Witch's Reward is the story of Larra Stoneworth. She has lived a sheltered life in a quaint village. Her grandmother has a few rules for her. The main one being, do not talk about magic or the history of "the purge." The Purge was a time in history where all the witches were executed by the previous king. One day while picking berries, she learns that she has magical healing powers. She is a witch. Unfortunately, the law is clear. All witches must be brought before the king and most likely executed.

I really enjoyed this book. It was well put together and the author really wrapped things up nicely. It was a very fast read.

A fast=paced young adult romance read that lacks mystery

It was adventurous and fun. I liked how different the main characters where and where the story led.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a great story of adventure, magic and a bit of love.

From beginning to end we hold the hope that innocent and strong Larra gets the happy ending her little friend Kiera is always speaking about. The young, handsome prince is not our typical perfect fairy tale prince, but rather he shows that all humans have flaws which makes him relatable. The king is a good ruler, making McCraine's fantasy world one that I would love to slip into and live in forever.

The book is exciting and there was never a dull moment. It was difficult to put the book down at all. It was a quick and easy read, and I loved McCraine's style of writing. I would love to read more of McCraine's books someday soon.
