This is an entertaining read but lacking in detail in many places. Maybe suitable for a general reader with little knowledge of the subject or period, but as a huge magic and Houdini fan, I found it rather lightweight.

Well written and very informative. The book will apply to these with a interest in the entertainment industry and to these who enjoy the history of past illusionist who laid the path for the illusionist of today.

Overall I found the the book enjoyable, and I liked the fact that it's the kind of book that doesn't need to read fort to back the reader can easily dip in out where she or he wishes to.
