I really enjoyed this one, I loved how Zeus and Cam's story came out little by little. What I really loved is how she didn't just straight away fall into Zeus's arms and back into his bed, it was a slow build and that was a nice change.I loved learning little bits about his siblings and loved the fact that they were all named after gods and goddesses! And i defiantly need to go see what the rest get up to in their books!

I absolutely loved this release from Samantha, and was exactly what I was looking for to read.

Zeus and Cam’s story was just beautiful and heartfelt. You could feel and see how much they loved each other, and I wanted nothing more than to see them work things out and end up together. They were the epitome of soul mates! And Gigi just completed it, altogether.

I am really looking forward to reading more from this series, and getting to know the characters a lot more.

This was another great read from Samantha Towle. I really enjoyed Zeus and Cam's story. Right from the beginning I was hooked in to the story. There was lots of chemistry between them both. It has a very quick pace and was a great second chance romance read.

2.5 - Around and around, we go. Stars.

Samantha Towle begins her new Gods series with Ruin focusing on the Kinkaid siblings, this book gives us Zeus’s story. MMA Fighter extraordinaire…

IMAGE.

I don’t profess to have been a huge reader of this author in the past, and I am in the minority in regards to not loving Ruin, but I just found it all as bit de-ja-vuey in relation to the story told in the book that put this author in the big leagues (The Mighty Storm), but instead of a Rock Star that you can’t help but fall in love with unequivocally (and I still count him as one of my top five BBFs) it’s been twisted to fit another current trope-unicorn… because let’s face it an alpha fighter dampens the girly parts as much as a rock star does. Especially when its one who is putting everything on the line to atone for the wrongs in his past (sound familiar…).

His boxing career took off and I got left behind… battered and bruised, in the wake of his success.

The only real difference is he is a baby-daddy without knowing it this time, due to a dastardly deed done by one of his inner circle. I am not going to shit all over this book, I was actually enjoying it up to around the 60% mark it is decently written although you know exactly what is going to happen about 5 chapters before each and every occurrence. But again I ended up with a H I adored, and a h I wanted to tit-punch because of her double standards, juvenile behavior and fuck-and-run mentality. Mixed signals were flying in all directions from Cam, again de-ja-vu much, because the same things that frustrated me about her were the self-same reasons I went off of Tru in TMS.

"I was never good enough for you…"

Towle seems to have a formula that works for her, and she has done well out of it, die-hard fans as such will and do love the book because of it. But I feel like I have essentially read the same book again, just with a few changes to keep it from being a total mirror image of TMS. Loved Zeus, and hopefully now we have the TMS re-write out of the way with his and Cam’s story, the rest of the series will offer up something a little more…'original' for the rest of the Kincaid siblings.

Another fantastic read from Samantha Towle. Loved the main characters and the development of their love story. Great drama and storylines with a smoking hot alpha male. Well worth a read.

I'm always so excited when I see a new release from Samantha Towle. I love everything she writes and Ruin was no different. It's a wonderfully written, sweet, second chance romance. It totally had me from the very first page that I had to read it in one go.

Zeus walked away from his "Dove" Cam five years ago when his boxing career took off leaving her heartbroken.
Cam dances in a club it's her way of still being able to do something she loves, after having to give up on her dreams, but now all these years later they are once again face to face. When Zeus shows up on Cam's doorstep the next day hoping to win her back he's about to get a little more than he bargained for!!

5 beautiful stars from me and definitely not one to be missed!

What a brilliant story, Samantha Towle has done it again. I have not read all this authors books but those i have , like this one suck you into her story and pull at all your emotions. I love the second chance romance side of the story it made my heart soar and fall all in one. Secrets and lies and moving on are big themes that get wrote so carefully into the story. Love the words in this book and adore the hot cover as well.

I love stories that are raw, honest and believable and Ruin totally nailed all 3, and so it was a joy to read.
As not only were the characters extremely likable and realistic. But I loved all the different relationships this story had to offer. Especially the one that Zeus created with his daughter. Which was just adorable and so sweet. And of course that between Zeus and Cam. Whose path to happiness was rocky to say the least. But that's what made it so enjoyable to read, and I loved how Zeus fought for her, and that Cam didn't make it easy for him. Or that her issues weren't magically swept away once Zeus told her he loved her.
And even though there were a couple of things I did find a little predictable. It didn't stop me from devouring and enjoying every single moment of this captivating, emotional, at times funny and brilliant book. And quite honestly, I did not want this story to end.
Which is why I would recommend Ruin to others, and can't wait to read more from this group of characters in the future.

Wow! What a story, I can't even begin to tell you just how much I loved every single paragraph and chapter of this mind blowing book. This story had my emotions all over the place and I just couldn't get them in check. It was a huge tug of war for me. And I spent a lot of it cheering and shouting from the sidelines.

A lot of my mixed emotions had to do with Cam, I cried hard for her being dealt the hand she was, by someone who had no right to deal it. And I got real angry at her treatment of Zeus some of the time. Zeus was treated far worse. And his hand was harsher. It was dealt by the same lowlife that delivered hers . Although saying that Zeus wasn't completely blameless. I laughed loads too during this book too, mainly down to Gigi and her quirky little ways and sayings. She was just so adorable.

Zeus is an all out Alpha and he wants back what was his, Cam. Although she has a surprise and one that Zeus really can't believe. This story is about second chances, making things right. Its about a lost love that has never died, learning to trust again. And it's also about a man with a heart so big and loving he puts the world before himself. Zeus may well be a fighter. But this story is about the most important thing he will ever have to fight for.  And it's more terrifying than any opponent in the boxing ring.

This is a beautifully written story and one that will remain with me for a sometime to come. I really recommend this book. This is on the table as one of my favourite reads of this year.

The God..sigh

I love a second chance romance. Well, when they come with a sexy alpha, a sassy woman and an emotional connection to the characters you can literally feel building chapter by chapter.
And this was exactly that.

After years apart, Zeus returns to Cams life to fight the one fight he knows he can’t lose. Winning back the love of his life. His childhood sweetheart whose heart he shredded five years ago and who may have one shocking yet adorable reason to battle against him at every turn.

Zeus was sweet, charming and witty. Everything a sexy alpha should be.
At the start, I wanted to hate him for how he broke Cam but he quickly won me over.
Despite him displaying his confidence in what he wants, and knows is going to happen, he still came across as slightly vulnerable at times which endeared me to him even more.

Cam was funny, sassy and mature enough in her decisions that I instantly liked her. She’s one of those characters where she infuriated me at times by holding back so much but really, you understand the exact reasons why she is and it makes me respect her even more.

I enjoyed the plot. Even though a lot of it was predictable and I would guess what was going to happen next, right up to the end, I was still glued and didn’t want to put it down.

The only thing I didn’t like about it was the way Gigi’s speech was written. I rarely read novels where small children are a main character purely because most authors write with the whole “fwiend” type speech which grates after the first time, and honestly, I have a four year old niece who has many four year old friends and not one of them speaks in that way. “I Is” and “I Finks” is enough to carry the reminder this is a child speaking without the lack of the letter R in certain words. But this may just be me?

This was the first book of this author I have read but I can honestly say it won’t be the last (the rest of her novels are currently downloading to my kindle). I would definitely recommend this story.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley but this has in no way influenced my review.

Although I am only giving 3 stars I did actually enjoy this book. I would not say the story is predictable but from the start there are certain situations that you know will happen. All the characters are well written and the author certainly knows how to pull on the heart strings I was in tears more than once and not always just because of storyline but how the story related to my own life. If you want a great romance without too much angst or silly blocks getting in the way then I definitely recommend Ruin.

This was a sweet second chance romance!

Zeus was adorable, an imposing alpha with a soft and tender side when it came to Cam and Gigi! Cam is a feisty heroine also riddled with doubts and insecurities due to things that happened in the past. Honestly, my favourite part of this book was Gigi! Gah! She is soo cuuute!

I found bits of this story a little predictable. I had already figured out the reason for what happened in past in the first chapter.. That didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of this book though!

There were a few editing and formatting issues, but that hasn’t effected my rating as I’m sure this will have been resolved when the book is published.

4 stars!

A second chance romance which packs a punch!

This is one fight that Zeus must win outside of the boxing ring and it's a fight for the love of the woman he spurned but never forgot.

It's a really long time since I've read a Samantha Towle novel and I'm so glad that I decided to take this particular journey with her. I absolutely loved the story and the characters.

I was a little hesitant at the outset when the story started right from inside of the boxing ring. Not a fan of this particular sport, I was a little worried that the focus may be too deeply embedded within boxing but fortunately, this initial scene was brief and merely set the story up by introducing us to Zeus Kincaid as he adds another belt to his world title collection.

From the boxing ring, the story then heads off in an altogether different direction as we’re introduced to GoGo Dancer, Cameron Reed. Once a talented ballerina in training, Cam and Zeus fell in love at an early age after meeting when they were 17 (Zeus) and 15 (Cam) but then Zeus unexpectedly ended their romance just as his boxing career was taking off. With her heart still in tatters years later, Cam is stunned when she comes face to face with Zeus when she finds him stood at the bottom of her podium. Seeing Zeus again is too painful for Cam and she has no option but to resign from her dancing job, which was more of a hobby anyway, and she returns home, to her aunt and daughter, Gigi, assuming that she won’t have to see Zeus again. Zeus is determined to find Cam again though and comes to her house to try to resurrect the love they once shared. When it becomes obvious that a big secret has been kept from him, Zeus is stunned but soon realises that Cam is not to blame for the subterfuge.

Zeus soon realises that he clearly made a mistake when he pushed Cam away all those years before and decides that he wants both her and Gigi in his life long term. Whilst spending time with Gigi, Zeus determinedly works to win back Cam’s affections but she struggles to trust him after the way he crushed her love for him in the past.

Zeus is not only a Greek God, he’s also a God in the boxing ring and also in the way he fights to make Cam see that his love for her is unbreakable, despite his previous misguided intentions. As a result, their relationship is brutally complicated at times and even though Cam can see that Zeus is good for her and Gigi, she still tries everything to push him away. At times, Cam’s numerous rejections of Zeus becomes a little frustrating, especially for this impatient reader, but ultimately, their story is just a long fought battle and one which is in no hurry to claim its prize.

Gigi for me unexpectedly brought the most to this book. I loved her childish voice which is captured within the pages of this story. I also loved Zeus’s brothers and sister and their stories are just crying out to be written as well.

I really did enjoy this book and it’s definitely a story I’d like to revisit. Whilst the drama is palpable and long-winded at times, it’s definitely worth persevering in order to reach its knockout ending!

Ooh, I love second chance romance, and Ruin, is second chance romance at its best, I was hooked. First loves never die, and Zeus and Cam prove this, multiple times, in this sweet, passionate and emotional love story. After been apart for five years, Cameron Reed has no intention of letting Zeus Kincaid back into her life, her heart, or her bed for that matter, but with one little nugget that can’t be ignored, it’s not as easy as she was hoping. He hurt her in the worst way possible, and for that, she will never forgive him or trust him again. Zeus however, is not only a fighter in the ring, he’s a fighter in life, and nothing, but nothing will separate him from his true love, ever again. Cam however, is not going to make it easy on him. Wonderful writing, lovely story, lots of super sexy time, interesting characters to add to the mix, and a book boyfriend to rival any other. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Ruin is yet another great book from the pen of Samantha Towle, I swear her books just get better and better.
Zeus is a boxer working his way to becoming heavyweight champion of the world, Cameron his childhood sweetheart is at Juilliard ballet school when her world comes crumbling down, Zeus breaks up with her telling her he'd slept with someone else, she then discovers she's pregnant and on informing Zeus through his manager is told he wants nothing to do with the pregnancy.
Five years later Zeus sees Cam in a club as a go go dancer, he had no idea about the baby and wants to get to know his daughter. Very strong feelings of love and passion remain but Cam is wary of trusting Zeus after all the heartbreak she has been through even though they both realise his manager had lied to her.
As the story develops you are willing these two to make a go of it, Zeus is a fantastic character, there were a few times when I questioned Cams reasoning but they work towards a common goal, their love for each other and their daughter.
A wonderful book with scope for more stories to come from other characters in this book....I can't wait!
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book honestly.
