Oh my god read this in a day! Loved the blurb loved the book! I really can’t say much without giving it away but honestly it’s a fabulous read with great characters (though I didn’t Ike Ursula and wasn’t fond of Mike either I did love Sasha.) It’s a great book that touches upon many important subjects including post natal depression & had you guessing is she mad? Is it her baby? In all it’s a good read.

I honestly loved this book, although the story was quite disturbing I thoroughly enjoyed it. I literally could not put it down. It kept me guessing the whole way through. I felt so sorry for sash for the most part but there was times in the book I hated her, the way she first described Toby really annoyed me but for the most part my heart went out to her. I couldn't work mark out at all which is a good thing because it's what I love about psychological thrillers they have to keep me on my toes. And this one certainly did that!! Thanks to @netgalley I got to read it before its released which is also a bonus. I definitely recommend getting yourself a copy ASAP!

I loved this book and virtually read it in one sitting as I wanted to get to the end. The storyline has been well thought out and the style of writing was good with not too many characters. The main character, Sasha has her baby in hospital, an emergency Caesarian and on waking is when her nightmares start. She is adamant that the baby they say she gave birth to is not hers. Thus begins her quest to find her baby with everyone against her. A couple of characters were on my suspect list.
I thoroughly recommend this book and would buy a copy.

This book is incredible! It’s been awhile since an author has kept me so gripped I’ve read the book from start to finish barely stopping to eat let alone catch my breath.

This is a good book, well written. As a consultant psychiatrist I found the novel psychologically, medically and practically plausible. The story brings to life the challenges of infertility and the strain this puts on relationships. Sasha has had her longed for baby by an emergency Caesarian section, and in common with many women who experience an emergency delivery she finds it hard to bond with the baby and starts to believe it isn't her child. The hospital descriptions felt real and the strain felt by a doctor who has made a fatal error is well described. The challenges of psychiatric practice also rings true; although we are generally extremely cautious about self-revelation I could, just about, believe a doctor might share more with a fellow doctor as patient.
I read it in one day, enjoyed it and will be looking out for other work from this new author.

suspenseful and enjoyable read that captures your attention from page 1.

The more you learn and read about Sash, you will wonder if she is sure her baby has been swooped at birth or whether she has post natal depression and psychotic mental health problems like her mother.

It kept me guessing and turning the pages. And when you aren’t reading you are still thinking about it. Overall an enjoyable read. My only bug bear that detracted from the pleasure of reading was the use of quite a lot of medical terms, which seemed a little excessive. But overall a heart felt read with a twist of an ending.

Excellent story.. When the main character believes that her baby has been stolen or swapped, are we believing her more because she is a doctor herself? Would we have more doubts if she were not? The writer sends us on a journey with the main character who questions herself - does she know this baby is really not hers or is she suffering from something like post natal depression? Great ending and a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I read this in one sitting and found it engrossing. It follow the story of Sacha, who wakes up from a caesarian section and does not believe that the baby she is given is really hers. Her husband Mark tries to support her but secrets from both their pasts come to light, pulling them apart. Flashbacks are interspersed with a day by day account of life after the birth. Everyone is a suspect and the tension mounts. I didn't know which way it would go, and there were a couple of surprises at the end which made me gasp. Very accomplished writing and most enjoyable.

Mine by Susi Fox.
Sasha wakes up in hospital after an emergency caesarean, she is desperate to see her baby. When she is taken to the hospital nursery she immediately knows that the baby they show her is not hers. Nobody will listen to her and even her husband will not believe her. How can she get them to admit that a mistake has been made and how can she find her own baby.? This book has a few twists and turns and keeps you guessing about the outcome. I would like to thank NetGalley and Penguin UK - Michael Joseph for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Sasha and Mark are having marital issues that she hope can be fixed with a baby. After an emergency c-section, Sasha wakes up alone and confused and desperate to see her baby. When she sees him she is adamant that the baby is not hers and is desperate to find her child.

I really don't want to say more as this would spoil the story for others but what a brilliant read. I devoured it over a day and really enjoyed the explosive ending. Brilliant debut novel
