This book is a funny fantasy. I liked the subtle humor and I would recommend this book to middle and high school readers.
It's a little much if your thinking 5-6 year age group just keep in mind. Well written and great book. It just wasnt for the age group I was looking.
We liked this book. It was not what we expected -- we thought it was going to be more for younger children with pictures, but is more older elementary age. It has lots going on and a older child will keep track of everything better. Lots of characters to enjoy and perhaps lead the reader to playing make believe themselves.
Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book felt a bit dense with all the action and characters. But then again, maybe I'm not the typical target audience. A kid might truly enjoy having LOTS of new friends between the pages.
The stories were fast-paced and imaginative, with an occasional smile on a concerned mother's face - what will happen if he decides to act this out at home.
Great choice for a gift to a boy!
The Catchers in Pirates, Thieves, Zombies and Magic is a book full of adventures with pirates, zombies and magic. What's not to like by a kid? It's full of action, very likeable main characters. It's very imaginative, and I guess this type of rich and imaginative books are important to fire up a child's imagination and creativity. I really liked this book, I would highly recommend it.

The Catchers in Pirates, Thieves, Zombies and Magic by Stuart J Kent Is a sweet little book for any child who loved adventure. the main characters Colin, Trixie, Marty and Jamie return to chase magical creatures and stop dark forces once again! and their adventures start again. They take on Pirates, Zombies and Thieves in a big quest to find and save some magical rare creatures.
I found this book very good and magical and will help a child's imagination run away with them.
