This was an easy read, with likeable characters. an original storyline with an unexpected ending. I will look out for more by this author. Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my review. Apologies for the delay in providing my review.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
It has taken me a while to get around to this book. However o finally have.
I felt like i had read something very similar to this before, but cannot remember where.
I liked the writing style of this book it made it a very easy ans simple read.
I enjoyed Grace's character however the whole wow is me thing got a bit tedious after a while. I like Henry's parents they seemed to add more to the book as well as Grace's manager.
The ending to me seemed a bit dull, no real conclusion. Would of been great to have a concrete one.
Andy was a great character however i didn't feel he got to be himself it was always a comparison. I don't feel like i got to know him at all.
I will be reading more by this author.
#GraceAfterHenry by @eithneshortall is a wonderful novel with a fabulous and unexpected ending...nothing predictable, nothing sugar coated sweet, just raw human emotion and a love story with many layers. Heartbreaking, funny and emotional I loved everything about it
I really enjoyed the author's first book Love in Row 27 and was very excited to find she'd written a second. Grace After Henry is written in a more serious vein, but no less intriguing, although I would recommend having a box of tissues close by as the emotional punch of the story can catch you unawares. This is a story about loss and the unexpected paths grief can lead you down as you struggle to adjust to the new normal and how decisions made can have huge consequences for the future. Although the subject matter is quite heavy, this is not a depressing read. Instead it’s bittersweet and cautiously hopeful. Definitely worth reading.
What a wonderful book! I was expecting a book that was very sad and a bit hard to read, but that is not what I got at all!
This is such a well written and thought provoking story. I will admit that the parts where she was having flashbacks and chatting with Henry
could actually be a bit confusing at times.Although it in no way took from the story, It actually helped the story along once you got into it.
Grace is such a loveable character and all her actions throughout the book I felt were very fitting for someone going through what she was. I mean
who acts completely rational in grief?
Halfway through I was worried about where the story was going and to be honest felt a bit frustrated with Grace (I'll say no more don't want to spoil!)
but I must say it really came full circle towards the end and I was left feeling very satisfied with the book.
This is a book that I will add to my shelf and re-read again in the future.
Thanks Netgalley and the Author and Publisher. Not sure what I expected from this book and I keep stopping and starting but managed to finish in the end but cannot say it was brilliant but it was not bad.
An emotional story to read. I was drawn in to the book and read it all in one evening as I needed to find out what was going to happen in the end.
Review: This is a lovely story. Heart wrenching and full of hope all at the same time. I really enjoyed this book.
I couldn't get into her last book but this one was very different and I loved it.
