Unfortunately I no longer wish to review this book as the first few chapters did not reel me in. Thank you for the opportunity.
A fast paced adventure that will appeal to animal lovers and computer coders alike. Through her newly established pet care agency, Kat gets drawn into a very topical mystery. With her new friend and computer whizz Harper, retired librarian Edith and an assortment of animals, an unusual but effective detective team is formed. One to recommend to fans of Robin Stevens and Katherine Woodfine.
I loved this book. My 1st read by Lauren st John and it won't be my last. Kat is the daughter of the local get and manages to get herself well and truly caught up in a mysterious investigation. Bring forth a talking parrot, a Savannah wild cat and the British army to resolve the mystery. Kat makes great friends along the way and finds a true home on the Jurassic coast in Dorset.
Ideal reading material for upper key stage 2.
The perfect blending of high-octane mystery and cute animals. Kat Wolfe equally divides her time helping out her mother, who is a vet, and investigating the mysterious disappearance of one of her pet-sitting clients. By turns amusing and thrilling, I loved how the plot developed and Kat is an engaging heroine. The various pets featured in the novel are just as full of character as their human owners: I loved Bailey the parrot with his penchant for quoting movies especially. This is definitely going to the top of the list of the books I recommend to students as I'm sure they'll fall in love with the story. More please!
