I really enjoyed this steamy, juicy novel "Pam of Babylon" by Suzanne Jenkins. Things are certainly not as they appear, and unusual bonds are formed in the light of a tragedy. Great read, many unexpected events. Thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for the review copy. All opinions are my own.

This book was first published in 2011 and being re-released. It is the 1st in a a series of 17 books. I liked this story, Pam gets a call from the police that her husband Jack has been mugged and died of a heart attack. When she arrives at the hospital she runs into his mistress. This book has some strange relationships and friendships. Pam is certainly more accepting and calmer than most women in this situation. Her sister Marie has a role in this saga as well as her mother. Jack's family is a little strange also. If I see another book in the series I might pick it up but probably wouldn't go out of my way to find another. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was very well written - I felt a layer was removed in each chapter to reveal another part of the person that was surprising and showed some vulnerability. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the sequel

I received this book in exchange for a honest review. Unfortunately, I could not get into this book and quit reading it at the halfway point. The concept and description from the publisher made me think this would be an enjoyable read, but it fell way short.
