I’ll be honest. The first 5 pages I just wasn’t sure if it was going to be for me...I was on the train and needed a read. OH MYLANTA this book was written for me! All the things I love..Twists! Crazies! Love interests! Stalkers!
The psychological thriller part of this book is on every page. What I thought this was about in the first few pages (creepy, stalker, omg she’s going to die) wasn’t even creepy compared to all the things that happened next. It got darker and darker and as much i wanted to hate Max, one of the main characters, I felt like a total psychopath for really liking him throughout the book. Omg I even thought “ok Mel, no more psychological thrillers for you you crazy girl!”
But after you read this book...tell me you didn’t think the same thing!
I always review a book with “OH that ending!” But this time, I need to say “Oh THAT everything between the beginning and end!”
I finished it in 24 hours because it had this psycho grip on me. I needed more. Edge of seat, ignore life’s daily chores, read while walking home from train kind of book!
I loved the main character Sophia and honestly wanted to be her friend. Or at least meet her at the pub for a drink. She’s a great mum (as they call her in the book) just trying to balance it all and I wanted to knock on her door and sit down with her and the girls for Shepard’s pie and pet their cat Welly who was also a main character :)
Then you read the chapters from Max’s POV...you hate him, you like him, you have no idea what to 🤔 think. Read it and you will see what I mean!
I’m so excited for any new book the author puts out next! Bravo! Cheers! 10 stars across the board!

Nice twisty book.. keeps you interested. Shocked at what happened at the end. Great ending.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book so much so finished it in less than a day, did not see the twist coming of who did it & why, loved the 2 different views of what you would do when you love someone, would highly recommend & will watch out for further books by this author, thank you @netgalley for giving me this opportunity
