So there are some people who are not going to like this story (that sounds bad but keep reading!). It’s pretty angst free, so there isn’t a lot of drama to move the plot. Instead it is all about the people – their interactions, developing feelings, and growth as they come to terms with their issues in order to move forward. And because that growth is a pretty big deal, there is a bit of time spent in their own heads. It’s their own issues they have to overcome, not an outside force, so there is a lot thinking and feeling.
Which also means there is a lot of back and forth, internally and between the two of them. Both feel the connection but they are scared to get involved for different reasons. Unfortunately the pull is strong enough that they can’t stay away either so there is a lot of yes/no…yes on getting together. That growth helps take care of it, and gives a pretty darn good HEA, although it takes some time and I know that sometimes I’m in the mood for that push/pull but a lot of times I’m just not.
Hopefully you’re still with me because I don’t want to scare anyone off, since I really enjoyed the book (I just know that it isn’t for everyone) and like other Moon books the characters make for a feel-good read. Nick is an honorable man with a big heart, which is what leads to a lot of his troubles. He takes things a little too seriously and struggles with some things that happened while he was in the military. Jordan also has a big heart but her failed engagement has her hesitant to trust in men again. Especially one who is obviously keeping something from her. It’s just so hard to resist someone who is ALWAYS there when you need them, doing exactly the right thing … drat that man for being too awesome!
Both Jordan and Nick have their reasons for feeling the way that they do but it is only together, with good communication, openness, and trust, that they have any hope of having a future (sounds pretty spot-on, eh?). You Send Me is a slow-burn romance with all the feels that you could ask for … and a hero that you’ll find yourself head-over-heels for in no time!
(You don’t have to have read Then Came You to enjoy this book. While there are returning characters there’s not really a lot of carry-over other than the friendship between them.)

I enjoyed You Send Me, although it is true that this couple really needed to get out of their own way before they would find that special place for each other in their lives. It probably can’t get much worse, aside from a fatal illness, to discover the man you are to wed… tomorrow… having a very lively and involved sexual experience with his secretary. Being told it was no big deal was perhaps the icing on the incredulous cake that Jordan got served. She’s now officially off of men for the foreseeable future and her walls have come crashing down and locking into place.
Once Nick was a Navy physician stationed in Afghanistan. An injury ended that career and now Nick is still healing, in many ways, from the physical and mental trauma he experienced. Those skills come back into play when he discovers his grandparent’s tenant out in a storm, obviously suffering from pneumonia. Nick may not be certain where his professional career is heading now, but he cannot walk away from Jordan when she needs him.
Jordan has so much going on in her life right now. And after the stunning ending to her wedding day she really isn’t looking for romance. Nick is at loose ends right now, he isn’t back to his full health, he doesn’t know where his career is going and the attraction to Jordan couldn’t have come at a worse time. It just seemed that they did a lot of thinking about why they couldn’t really be a couple, and they were their own worst enemies often. Yet, I did enjoy their romance, so I went past the slower parts and simply enjoyed the overall story.
The Compass Cove series is entertaining, love the legend of the compass showing up in the stories. I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next book in this series. If you love a Romance with people who sometimes don’t know their own minds but are so right for each other then you’d like You Send Me.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

You Send Me, Jeannie Moon’s latest addition to her Compass Cove series, is a gorgeous sweet romance. Set in a small Long Island community this story exudes the warmth and caring that small communities and close knit families are all about.
Nick is a returned serviceman as well as a doctor and paediatrician. He is recovering from an injury to his leg sustained in an attack on a village in Afghanistan where he was running clinics for the local children. The events of that day haunt him, though he’s unwilling to talk about the incident.
Jordan has sworn off men after jilting her cheating fiancé after discovering him in a compromising position. She’s renting a cottage from Nick’s grandparents and it is here that the pair meet after a tree comes crashing down on her car during a storm in which she catches pneumonia.
Both Jordan and Nick are caring and dedicated, though with Jordan’s trust issues and Nick’s military past there are enough issues to ensure that a lasting relationship between them is going to have to be hard fought. I loved the way that Jeannie Moon developed their characters, gently rounding them out as she built the story around them. These two are very much real people and I had a vested interest in ensuring their relationship flourished. While the eventual outcome was pretty much a given, I liked the way they dealt with road blocks along the way.
One of the other things I liked about this book is the strong role both Jordan’s father George and Nick’s grandparents played. As a mother and grandmother I could totally get their concern for the wellbeing of their children and as a daughter I could clearly understand the little white lie Nick allowed to be perpetuated in order to ease the concerns of Jordan’s father.
You Send Me has been a real pleasure to read and I’m hoping there will be more Compass Cove books to come.

Loved this book when finding love when you least expect it. Jordan is still healing from a broken heart after she finds her fiancee in a compromised position with his sectetary and taking care of her father who is in hospice. Nick, a physician has returned to Compass Cove to live with his grandparents after leaving the Navy from an injury. A bad storm comes through Compass Cove and Nick comes to Jordan's rescue after a tree crushed her car. Only to find Jordan sick with pneumonia. As Nick nurses Jordan back to health, she asks him to visit her dad. Soon a fake engagement develops, but both with a lot on their plates will it turn into more. With a little bit of magic of Compass Cove will they find their "true north" and have their HEA.
This book is so full of emotions, yes I did shed a few tears through out the story. Loved the journey that they both took in their relationship. I think we all need a Nick in our lives. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I could not put this book down today! I highly recommend!!

Nick and Jordan are my new favorite couple! Both are a little damaged by life...Jordan by a broken engagement and her father's illness; Nick by an overseas' injury that affects not just his body but his psyche as well. Neither is looking for a relationship, but thanks to a bad case of pneumonia and an early spring blizzard, they'll get more than they bargained for...but everything they need.
Nick is described as an take-charge alpha, which I think is a bit misleading. While he definitely took charge while treating Jordan, the term alpha to me has a different connotation. Alphas are bossy and slightly...what's a nice word for it...aggressive ( that's the best I can do if I want my review to pass inspection!) That's not Nick at all. He's pushy when he needs to be but overall he's more laid back. Jordan has a spine of steel, I don't think she'd let him get that close to her if he was truly overbearing. She's not shy and retiring by any means ( she put not one but two busybodies in their place...she's my kind of gal!)!
I appreciate the pacing of the story and their relationship. Although their connection is immediate, the physicality is slow to build, which in this case added a greater depth to their emotions. The dialog, whether between themselves, Nick with his family or Jordan with her friends, was real and honest.
Not revealing plot points is always the hardest thing about writing a review, so I'll just say that if you like mature characters ( in their 30's), don't mind a curse word or two, enjoy tastefully written but HOT, nevertheless, sexy times and a town full of lovable (Lina) and exasperating (Bella) secondary characters...read You Send Me by Jeannie Moon. You'll be glad you did!

Jordan Velsor is a very independent woman, determined not to need a man in her life after discovering that her fiancé was cheating on her. However, when doctor Nick Rinaldi helps her when she's very sick with pneumonia, she finds herself falling for him, as he nurses her back to health. Will Jordan be able to convince Nick that he can trust her or are his past demons too hard for him to overcome to give their relationship a chance?
Ms. Moon writes some absolutely wonderful stories and I've got to say that her Compass Cove series is one I have come to love due to the enchanting main and secondary characters and entertaining dialogue that gets me hooked from the beginning. The way this story started gripped my attention immediately, as the heroine isn't having the best of times. Luckily though, the hero is there for her at a time when she needs someone the most. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine met that drew me into this story completely and had me reading quickly, determined to discover whether the hero would be able to win the heroine over. Something that isn't easy because Jordan is independent and resilient and has once had her heart broken.
As for the dialogue, it was riveting and had me loving the main characters back stories, as both the hero and heroine have been through so much and it's understandable why both are so guarded and find it hard to let someone in completely. How could the heroine's ex-fiancé be such a jerk? Why is there so much distance in the relationship between the hero and his father? With the main characters, I loved every moment they interacted, as the hero is a good guy that will do anything to help someone through tough times, even if he does end up getting on the heroine's bad side when she discovers what's he done. I also liked how confident and determined the hero was to win the heroine over, even though he has his work cut out for him after what her ex did. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was the relationship he shares with his family and that they're always up in his business when it comes to his growing relationship with the heroine.
While the heroine, she's resilient, courageous, very independent, has great friends she can confide in and I liked that she let the hero in, even though her last relationship fell apart and she doesn't know whether she'll ever be able to trust another man. I also liked the tight bonds she shares with her friends because she needs their advice when it comes to moving on and finally being ready for another relationship. Really, she needs the push they give her. However, there were moments where I wanted to cry for Jordan because of what's happening to someone she cares about.
Overall, Ms. Moon has delivered another fantastic read for this series where the chemistry between this couple was strong; the romance wonderful because these two are so good together; and the ending had me loving the hero's determination to prove to the heroine that he does trust her, even if it isn't easy for him to talk about the past. However, it was the surprise the heroine had for the hero that I loved the most about the ending. I would recommend You Send Me by Jeannie Moon, if you enjoy small town romances, the fake relationship trope or books by authors Miranda Liasson, Samantha Chase, Erin Nicholas and Noelle Adams.

I enjoyed the first book in the Compass Cove Series, but I loved the second book, You Send Me even more if that is possible. Jeannie Moon has given the reader a romantic small-town story that incorporates the entire family and community of Compass Cove. Like those in the first book, Jordan and Nick are characters that you would want as friends. The way that they treated the older people in their lives early in the story made them my kind of people from the get-go.
This is a slow progression of a love story. This is not instant lust or love but one build on mutual respect and friendship. Nick and Jordan have both suffered disappointments and hurts. The types of setbacks are very different but their approach to life is not. I admired how they handled this. The supporting cast rounds out the story. Some like Nick’s grandparents or Jordan’s dog always managed to bring a smile to my face. Besides the charming characters, the writing was wonderfully done. I felt the wind and then the cold from the March storm turned blizzard!
If anyone deserved the blessing from the Compass legend it is Jordan and Nick. I couldn’t have enjoyed their story more. I highly recommend You Send Me to anyone who loves a great feel good novel.

3.5 Stars!
You Send Me by Jeannie Moon, is an interesting and engaging novel. This engagement of convenience romance is replete with an entertaining plot, well-defined characters, and a very emotional story-line. This is the second book from the author's Compass Cove series and it can be read as a standalone.
Due to her ex-fiancee being a total jerk, grade school teacher Jordan Velsor has sworn off men. Jordan's free time is spent with her ailing father, who is now in hospice. As a storm is raging outside her window, Jordan's cold has evolved into pneumonia. Luckily her landlord's grandson, a former Navy doctor and pediatrician, comes to her rescue. Nick Rinaldi returned home to Compass Cove about a year ago to recoup, after being injured during his deployment. His grandparent's are Jordan's landlord and they treat her like a member of the family. Both Jordan and Nick are attracted to each other and they have a few hurdles to overcome in order to find their happiness together.
Jeannie Moon is one of my favorite authors, and I always look forward to her next romance offering. This book was quite emotional, so I recommend keeping a box of tissues handy. The main characters were well-defined and I enjoyed getting to know them. Overall, a solid read.
Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

This was a see take off two people who had been hurt finding a way b out of the darkness and finding trust, respect, and love again. Nick has always helped people, but when Jordan needs help, he has to fight against her stubbornness to actually succeed. As they get to know each other, feelings start to change, but neither are sure if they want to open up their heart again. Can they find a way to move past the insecurities, betrayals of the past, and even some familial interference, to realize what they have built is worth fighting for? Or will Jordan find out dune life-changing news and have to navigate it by herself? Well Nick make a decision and open up in time, our will he have made a decision when it's already too late to chance Jordan's mind?

I loved the plot of this well written romance. The author is new to me and I anticipate reading more of her books. I recommend to fans of romance novels.

This is a lovely contemporary romance with believable characters and just the right amount of angst and turmoil to keep it a page turner and delightful story to escape into.
From the action packed start - with a storm, a near miss and a hero to the rescue - to the heartwarming conclusion this is a brilliant story with great characters and lots of fun. The heroine is Jordan Veslor, a teacher who was devastated to find her fiancé cheating on the eve of their wedding. She unceremoniously dumped him and is determined not to trust a man again. She now lives in a beach side rented cottage and, although she is ill, she is so independent!
Nick Rinaldi was a Navy medic and is currently recovering after being injured whilst on the front line. He's staying with his beloved grandparents - who just happen to be Jordan's neighbours and landlords. When Jordan is almost killed in a storm he discovers she also has pneumonia and strives to care for her during the storm. She's not an easy patient - feisty, determined and, to top it all, so attractive! Can she learn to trust someone enough to lean on them when in need? Can he learn to trust himself again and make new plans for his future?
I loved reading this story - it is a great addition to the series! Jeannie Moon always writes stories which are engaging and enthralling and I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys escaping into stories which take you in, immersing you in the location and helping you empathise and relate to the brilliant characters.
I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

I adored this book and these characters, especially Nick Rinaldi. He's warm, compassionate and simply delicious. His career as a Naval doc is over after a serious injury, now he's recuperating at his grandparents house while trying to figure out what's next for him. After what he saw on deployment he's not sure he can return to practicing medicine. Jordan Velsor is a young woman who life has been kicking in the teeth lately. First she just got out of a relationship when she finds her fiancee with her best friend. Next she's dealing with her father and what is surely a life threatening illness. Oh yeah, and she was almost killed when a tree comes down during a storm crushing her car and narrowly missing her. Add in the fact that she feels like she herself might be dying from the horrible cold she has and she's done. Just done! Thank goodness for her landlord's kind grandson who comes over to care for her. Meeting Nick might be the first bright spot she's seen all year.
Loved this nice slow build romance and I thought these characters were amazing. They each have such strength and determination and the author made them feel real and true. This is a book I would recommend to everyone.

I enjoyed the book one in the series, so I was excited to start this book. And the beginning was so promising, I was inhaling it, and being riveted by the deep emotions.
And then, it just fizzled out, all the excitement and intensity.
I liked the ending as well, but there was serious work to be done to get through the middle 60% of the novel, and it did take me for several days to accomplish. Most of the middle felt like a filler, it really was just back and forth 'do I - don't I' and it wore me out even though I kept skipping and glancing the pages to complete the novel.

Compass Cove #2
Pneumonia is not fun…it is painful and it can kill you…so Jordan Velsor is a lucky woman to have Dr. Nick Rinaldi check on her just before a big storm sets in…perhaps even more than lucky?
One thing leads to another and before the two know it they are in a fake engagement that begins to feel a whole lot more real than either thought possible. Jordan wants Nick to be more open and Nick is not willing to verbalize about some of his demons so there are a few tense moments along with sadness, loss and big decisions to be made by both.
I like this small town community that feels like family and know there are many more stories that can be written with the compass of Compass Cove at the center of the story. I am glad Nick finally shared with Jordan but at one point wrote “I don’t understand her leeriness” and guess that I felt she was a bit too protective and wanted more from a war veteran than perhaps she should have. Anyway, I did enjoy it and loved the couple together. I wish them happiness and much love in the future!
Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.

WOW!! I loved, loved, loved You Send Me by Jeannie Moon, book two in her Compass Cove series. Once again she made me fall in love with her hero and heroine, Jordan and Nick, not that it was difficult to do. Nick has been watching Jordan since he returned to Compass Cove. He missed being able to run after his surgery. He needed to figure out what was next for this former Navy pediatrician with a bit of PTSD. Life had thrown too much at Jordan. She cancelled her wedding after she caught her fiancé with his pants down while in his office with his secretary. Her only family member, her dad, was in hospice care and she was not ready to lose him. And now this elementary school teacher was sick; not with the cold she thought, but pneumonia. Thankfully Dr. Nick and his grandparents, her landlord, watched over her as she recovered. Through a misunderstanding, Jordan’s dad thinks she and Nick are engaged.
There is definitely magic in the town of Compass Cove, magic that helps Jordan and Nick find themselves and each other. There is definitely chemistry and attraction between these two. This story played with my emotions, wondering if these two would find their happy, ever after. These two characters grew so much closer during their journey of finding their “true north” and their true love.
I totally loved reading this book and really had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Moon wrote a wonderful story, creating amazing characters, keeping the story interesting, making me forget the world around me and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers and cannot wait for the next book in this amazing series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

You Send Me begins with the sweet legend of a man and a woman finding love with each other because of a compass. But one of their descendants, Jordan, is having the worst year of her life. The day before her wedding, she caught her fiance' doing the wild thing with his secretary and her father's cancer is in it's last stages. Six months later, nothing is better...she has pneumonia and a nor'easter of epic proportions is sweeping through her town.
But then, gentle Nick Rinaldi comes to her aide. And even though Jordan has sworn to never depend on a man again, Nick is always there for her. Until he mucks things up by letting her father believe they are engaged, and soon their entire town believes it.
The first half of the book is near perfect, with Nick and Jordan as engaging as any couple I've read. Things slowed down about midway, but then ended well. I've never read this author before, but she has real talent in writing believable characters who are caught up in the events that happen in real life, without it becoming a maudlin tear-fest. The emotions between the two characters are tender, even as they each battle the issues that make them not want to trust. As the cover implies, this will be a great romance to read on the beach. There's nothing too embarrassing inside if one of the kids pick it up, and there is lots to put a smile on your face.

What started out as a ruse to comfort a dying man turns Jordan and Nick's world upside down. The attraction is off the charts. The emotion throughout the story brings you to your knees in parts and elates you in others. A beautiful and heartfelt love story.
Jordan and her father are all one another have. But her father is dying. And she can't stand thinking about the time she won't have him. But a bout of pneumonia lays her flat. And her sexy neigh or doctor cones to her rescue.
Nick has noticed Jordan from a distance. But he is fighting his own demons and isn't in a place to ha e a relationship. But he's a good guy and when he plants the seed that he and Jordan are a couple to her dad, things take off in their small town. Now everyone thinks they are getting married!
As they embark on this ruse to get her, they find themselves fighting an attraction that they can't avoid. But things aren't always what they appear. Jordan has a hard time trusting and Nick blames himself for something he couldn't control. Can they find their way thru the troubles and trials of life or will the trust and hiding behind a self imposed wall keep them apart?

This is an incredible book, the author is a truly amazing Author. This book is full of emotion, allowing you to develop a connection with the characters. I don’t usually shed a tear when reading a book but this one had me shedding tears. This book is very true to life.

Jordan Velsor and Nick Rinaldi couldn’t have been a better match. They just needed a little push to get there. Neither of them was looking for a relationship. Jordan was still heartbroken after finding her fiancé in a compromising position, with another woman, the day before their wedding and dealing with the fact that her father’s cancer was getting worse. Nick was still recovering from a war injury and wanting to get back to doing what he loves most, being a doctor. But, when their friendship is mistaken as more, they decide to play along with it. What could go wrong?
I loved this book from the very beginning. It was easy to get attached to the characters. I fell for Nick right off with the way he took care of Jordan when she was sick when he really didn’t know anything about her except that she rented his grandparent’s cottage. I really liked Nick’s great big family too. They were fun. I really liked Jordan too and my heart hurt for her when she walked into her fiance’s office and found him fooling around with his secretary. Jordan’s friends brought a lot to the story too. This is the second book in a wonderful series set in a town called Compass Cove on Long Island with a long history of romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books.

4.5 stars
Two people broken in their own way are forced together during an illness and a storm where their friendship blossoms into more following a misunderstanding and a whole lot of town gossip in You Send Me the second book in author Jeannie Moon’s Compass Cove series.
The night before her wedding to a prominate attorney in town, Jordan Velsor finds her fiancé screwing his secretary on his desk and despite is and his family assuring her that she was overreacting and “these things happen” and he was just a “red blooded man” Jordan knew she would never be the kind of wife who overlooked her husband’s affairs even if her father wanted to see her settled and happy. I admired her dedication to her ailing father and the love she had for her students, landlords, and friends.
HOLY HOT GOOD GUY HERO ALERT….whew, despite Nick Rinaldi’s baggage he is so my kind of hero. One of those men who always puts other’s first, had everyone’s best interest at heart, and while he wants everyone else to share their troubles with him, he is a vault when it comes to his own life. I adored his relationship with his grandparents and they way he cared for Jordan when she was ill despite her protest.
I honestly loved this book from the start and the way their relationship was on a slow burn despite their almost immediate “engagement.” I did get a bit tired of Nick’s refusal to share his load and Jordan’s demands that she needed him to open up to her, it seemed like we were continually beat over the head with the argument. Bless Nick’s grandparents who also happen to be Jordan’s landlords for their meddling and good hearts. There was just something so refreshing about this book and while there were moments of sadness and grief, there was also a lot of joy.
Emotional in the best of ways, but sweet and sensual I loved You Send Me!
