I feel like this series is just getting better and better. In the beginning, we had main couples who fought the idea of being true mates and the last few have had more acceptance. In Wild Hunger, there was no pushing away and I loved it!
This couple was such a treat to read about. I get such a kick out of couples working together instead of against each other. To me, that kept the focus on the true angst of the story which is Frankie's past and the new threat to the Phoenix pack.
I'm really enjoying this series and seeing past couples together. If you enjoy dominant men that have possessive and protective streaks, this series for you. You can read these books as standalones but I do think you will enjoy them more if you start at the beginning and learn everyone's story.
It sounds like Bracken may be next but we still have Dominic without a mate as well. I don't think I will ever get tired of this series so I hope the author keeps them coming! ARC provided by NetGalley.
I can't even begin to explain how much I love Suzanne Wright's books!! Every chance I get, I re-read one of her books from this series or the Mercury Pack series. She is one of my absolute favourite authors!!
Even though I really wanted Trick to have a male mate, I really liked Frankie! I loved how she never doubted that they were mates and just accepted it, she had a lot going on but she never pushed Trick away.
I don't want to get into what exactly happened because I think everyone should find out while reading it but I can just say that you won't be dissapointed!
Trick and Frankie are two great individuals that became an incredible couple and I absolutely loved Wild Hunger!
I can't wait for Dominic's book!! Please don't make us wait long!! And after what happened to Bracken in this book, I NEED his book urgently!!
Another great read from one of my favourite authors. It was fast paced, loved the characters and how they communicated. Totally enjoyed myself and didn't want the book to end. Now waiting for the next one!!
Well done!
The one thing I can always count on when I read a book by Suzanne Wright is that I will not be disappointed. No matter what she writes, I’m always fully immersed in the story and the characters. & one thing is for sure, she knows how to write a brilliant paranormal book!
Frankie is a half shifter who for reasons has been raised by her human grandparents. Trick as we know, has been waiting for his mate for what seems like forever, but is feeling like he is slowly losing hope as he watches each of his pack mates pair off and find their happy ever after.
Filled with the usual humour, action, passion and mystery, Suzanne has written another winner in the Phoenix Pack series. Well written and engaging as always, I cannot wait for Dominic’s book! I have my fingers crossed that Dominic’s book isn’t the last for the Phoenix Pack series but I know I’ll still get my shifter fix with the Mercury Pack!
5 stars!

I received a copy of Wild Hunger by Suzanne Wright from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was intrigued by the summary initially; and even though I was familiar with the author (had a read one of her Mercury Pack novels), I was little apprehensive when I found out that it was book seven of a series that I had never read. Happily, it was easy enough to fall into the story and pick up on the characters and their relationships to one another.
I thought this novel was a fun read overall. Generally fast paced, likeable characters, and an interesting plot. It was an enjoyable way to pass a lazy weekend day.
I would definitely be interested in reading earlier Phoenix Pack novels by Suzanne Wright and recommend this book without reservation.
Wild Hunger was an okay book. It is very similar to others in the story, and it was nice to hear how the previous couples are doing. I did like the Francesca, she was strong willed and not whiny about her situation. Trick was okay, he seemed to change overnight with the meeting of his mate and that was unrealistic. I also found it sightly predictable and the parallel between the couples plot points did nothing for the plot.

Ms. Wright has been one of my favorite authors for quite some time now, and all her books are a must-read for me.
On "Wild Hunger", the 7th book in "The Phoenix Pack" series, Frankie and Trick are our main characters.
I absolutely loved Frankie. She had reason to be a more insecure young woman, and she could've run away or judge from the get-go, yet she never allowed tragedy or other people's opinions to take hold or influence her thoughts and decisions.
Innocent looking, she is actually a strong, badass, no-nonsense woman who can take care of herself.
She thinks rationally about things, instead of letting them bring her down or sulking around the place.
Trick's possessive and dominant tendencies, along with his stubborness, didn't clash with his intentions towards Frankie. He was far more patient than what was expected of him, made her his priority, gave her time when she needed it to think about her new reality and talked things out.
For me, he was the absolute perfect mate, going against his own nature for her sake.
What made this already great book even more perfect was how openly they communicated with each other in order to deal with their issues.
The side characters only added up to the plot with their antics and jokes, and i especially loved seeing a little of the Mercury Pack.
Overall, I found this book a bit different than the previous ones. The MCs were more mature than I expected, which was perfect, given the slight angst and the drama in the plot.
My final rating is 5 stars, because you can't go wrong with Ms. Wright's books!
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for the chance to read this ARC.
I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. I was so excited about this book as I’m a big fan of the author and series. I loved Trick from the start and am happy to say he found his perfect match in Frankie who was not a weak willed women. Their connection while quick was balanced by their realistic attitudes toward each other. Frankie ‘s childhood was sad (even though the true story was hidden from her) she was not bitter about it and still loved her grandparents. I loved how Trick was so giving of his love, time, and understanding about who she really is. It’s quite refreshing to see an alpha male that was so intuitive about his partner and still caring and tender. But do not despair their is still plenty of heat between the two. Also I love to see all the familiar characters from the Phoenix and Mercury packs. The suspense was really blended well and I liked the little twist at the end. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more.

Lets face it Suzanne Wright is my go to Alpha Male/kick ass female got to and this is no different.
I love this continuation of the Phoenix pack series and I liked that this was different, that Trick sensed right away Frankie was his mate and she figured it out shortly thereafter. I also liked that their scenario was more based on waiting for very good reasons. I liked that Trick never kept things from her and that she was able to lean on him even though it dint come natural to her.
The suspense in this book was intriguing. I liked that there were different elements working against the packs and that they had regular family issues to work out at the same time. It made the emotion in the story stand out and connect with the characters more. They really worked together and through things together, not just bashed past barriers or enemies.
I love how Ms. Wright keeps building this world and connecting the people and stories...Not to mention The Greta/ Welcome party was totally hilarious!! I cant wait to see what happens next!
Every time you give is the tease that a new book is coming out I check every few days to see if I can get a chance to review the new ones. I was so looking forward to Tricks story. Especially after the first book when Taryn told Uma off. I loved his Mate she was a perfect fit for him. Everything you write is well written. I can picture the scenes you write out perfectly. It's hard to keep my attention. I was in a pilot program for speed reading it really takes a lot for me to want to slow down and enjoy every written word. Looking forward to the next few stories. Can't wait 👏👏👏✌
I have been waiting to read Trick's book ever since I read Marcus' book. No that's a big fat lie !! I have been waiting to read Trick's book, ever since I read that naughty little scene in "Feral Sins" (book 1), when Trick and Marcus got down together !! Wow that was awesome ;)
Now so far, Marcus and Roni's book has been my favorite and this is still the case after reading Trick's book...but...he is definitely a very close second !! I should have known he was gonna be awesome. Out of all the men in the Phoenix pack, he was always been the relaxed one, the one who wanted to find his true mate. I loved how he helped Marcus out with advice about Roni in "Dark Instincts" , and Marcus did pay him back big time in this book.
See those of you who have read the previous books in this series, know that Marcus and Trick used to scratch each others itches. It had nothing to do with romance though. Even though they don't get down like that anymore...they are still the best of friends and Marcus does prove this more than once in this book.
Which only made me love him more, if that's possible.
Trick has always been open to finding his true mate and bonding, so it's no surprise, that when he does come face to face with her...he knows...right away. There is no case of signal blocking when it comes to Trick and I found this very very refreshing !!
As for the heroine, she is half human half shifter. Until she was three, she lived in same pack as the old Phoenix gang (including Trick). This is when her shifter father killed her human mother, and himself after. That's when her maternal grandparents took her away. She has been living in the human world ever since, only shifting every now and then to let her wolf out, but not knowing about packlife.
Her grandparents never told her the truth about all that's happend, and when Frankie finds out she she is livid. She also finds out that she was a witness, but somehow her three year old self has suppressed all her memories....
She might not know that much about wolves and living in a pack, but she does know that her extreme reaction towards Trick, is not normal. It doesn't take her long to figure out they are "True Mates. For her, there are some signal blocks getting in the way of their bond, but this is to be expected. She doesn't deny Trick though, and again...this was very refresing...No push and pull and no games. These two really were a breath of fresh air ;)
They were also very HOT !!! I knew Trick was gonna be HAWT !!
There is a lot more going on in this book, but I am not gonna kiss and tell about everything. You should just give this series a go !! I promise you won't be sorry.
I don't recommend reading this book as a stand alone. It might be possible, but you would also miss out on so much information and greatness !!! I highly recommend this entire series !!
An ARC was kindly provided to me by the author, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

Oh I liked this book. It made me want to smack some people and cuddle others. Good character development, plot line was a little laggy and slow, I would have liked to see more from the flashbacks and memory triggers. She seems so secure in herself in situations that should be throwing her off balance but that's perhaps just a personality thing I'm not empathizing with. Trick? Yeah, mmm, about that. They don't seem like the type of people which would go together tbh. He seems a bit neanderthal, as many shifter characters do, and I can certainly see why the mother's family don't like him. He's not exactly bringing much but "forever love" and muscles to the table. I'm comfortable with this as a standalone despite being part of the series, though I feel there were a few gaps that reading the rest would help with so I'll likely try the rest later. Overall, I liked it, good pace, good characters, good plot, good ending.
Wow, what a ride - again. I love the books by Suzanne Wright. I've read all of her books in the Phoenix- and Mercury Pack series' up to now and I love them. Yes, her heroes are a bit rough around the edges and rather coarse but, hey, they are shifters, right. Wolves. And they behave like their feral counterparts only (slightly) less feral.
So, well, you shouldn't mind some (more) swearing and there might even be (a lot of) sexual intercourse otherwise these books might not be right for you. If you are fine with that though, you are in for great characters and amazing stories. Even though each and every one of these books tells the story of another couple struggling to find their way from feeling the bond to mating, every book is as different as the personalities of our different heroes.
"Wild Hunger" is the story of Trick, one of the wolves of the Phoenix pack and his mate Frankie. Once started, I couldn't put this book down but read on and on till the end. It was gripping and thrilling and kept me guessing, nail biting, swooning, grinning, gasping and well...just read it. It is totally worth it!
I am a huge fan of Suzanne Wright’s and when I see she has released a new book, its an automatic 1 click. So as soon as I saw that Wild Hunger was available to review, I stopped what I was doing and read this book straight through. Wild Hunger is the 7th book in the Phoenix Pack Series which follows Trick one of the pack enforcers and Frankie who is half human and half wolf. While you do not need to read the entire series to enjoy this book, I do highly recommend checking out the other books if you have not already read them.
Through the other books in the series you really get to know the other members of the pack and characters. While they all had their charm and ways about them, for some reason Trick was never one of my favorite characters. It wasn’t for any reason specific just because I didn’t feel as though much information was given on him as some of the other characters, so I wasn’t too sure if I was really going to enjoy his story as much as some of the others. I quickly learned how wrong I was and very quickly fell in love with Trick throughout his story. I think because Trick wasn’t focused on as much as other characters in previous books, that it made his story just that much better.
Trick Hardy is a very dominate wolf and member of the Phoenix Pack who has been waiting for his mate. Frankie Newman used to be a member of Tricks original pack as a child, but due to a horrible situation she was went to live with her human maternal grandparents and were raised by them. Frankie wasn’t even aware that she had any family in the shifter community, so it came as a pretty big shock when she was contacted by her paternal aunt Lydia. I really enjoyed how the second Trick met Frankie again, he knew she was his true mate – there was nothing blocking the bond for him. And while it took Frankie a little longer to get with the program, she didn’t fight the bond either. One of my favorite things about Suzanne Wrights books is how strong and outspoken the Female main characters are. While Frankie was the normal strong dominate female main character that I love, she was also soft in certain ways which made her character more three dimensional for me and just different enough from the other books in the series.
Throughout this book, we also got a cameo with some of my other favorite shifters the Mercury Pack. We also learned that something really messed up happened to one of the Mercury Wolfs – and I am dying to find out what happens there. I love how the author intertwines the series and gives us a sneak peak of how one of her future books may play out. The suspense and action found in this book really kept me guessing all the way to the end. I absolutely adored Trick and Frankie – they were amazing. I loved this book and consider it to be a 5-star read. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Shifter Romances – it was amazing! In fact, it was so good, I think I am going to read it again.

WILD HUNGER has Phoenix pack enforcer Trick finally getting his story. Trick has been waiting for many years for his true mate to come into his life, and has never imprinted with another shifter. He has, however, had numerous and wild sexual encounters over the years. After waiting for so long, he did everything in his power to keep Frankie. Trick didn’t try to dominate her; he simply inserted himself in her life, going at her pace until she understood that he wasn't going anywhere.
As for Frankie; she was quite an enjoyable character. She is very strong; but has a vulnerability not many people are allowed to see. I really felt for her. She was raised by her grandparents, and went through a difficult life being raised by them. They didn’t understand her, and tried to mold her into someone that she courdn’t or wouldn’t be. Family secrets were revealed that show just how tough things with her grandparents were. Before Trick came into her life, no one had ever put her first. It took a while to get use to someone thinking of her needs and putting her first. Trick let her know that the tragedy in her past would never make him leave her or paint all wolves with the same brush.
WILD HUNGER is the seventh book in Suzanne Wright’s “Phoenix Pack” series. This series and the “Mercury Pack” series overlap in both characters and some storylines. The great thing about this book is that it is not quite as formulaic as some of Wright’s shifter books have been lately; like a little freshness has been injected into her plotlines and writing in general. WILD HUNGER is not recommended as a standalone read, but it could be. Just be aware that there are subplots and characters that will be a bit confusing to new readers.
I got this book free for an honest review. I have almost all of Suzanne Wright's books and she has done it again this book was soooooo good i am looking forward to the next book of any series she writes. This book was about the Phoenix pack but members of her other series was in this book but some were just mentioned. I am looking forward to Dom's book his pack mates are going to have soo much fun with his mate. This book was enjoyable and would highly recommend to any one and her other series and I look forward to all her future books. Would more than five stars of i could.
Get ready for a chilché. Ready? Okay, the only thing I didn't like about this book was that it ended.
Suzanne Wright's writing is as wonderful and engaging as always. I could not put the book down even for a second and I finished it in less than 24 hours which says something, in my opinion.
I really could not recommend this series more. I made my roommate read all the books and she loved them as well.
Also, I really liked the mystery element in this one, from the very beginning I knew that something was up and I could barely wait to figure out what exactly.
Also pt 2, Trick? We love one (1) bisexual king in this house.
I loved coming back to Phoenix Pack territory and big time enjoyed Trick and Frankie’s story! There is plenty of what we have come to love in this story humor, hot sex, drama and build up for the next story...which I personally hope is a trip to Mercury pack and Brackens story. Lovers of Suzanne Wright’s work will be sucked right back into this amazing world she’s weaved and if you haven’t read any of her stuff go back and start with Trey and Taryn!
This was a complimentary advanced reader copy provided by the author/publisher in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley.
I really enjoyed this latest instalment to the Phoenix Pack series. This time the protagonists were pack enforcer, Trick Hardy and a half-wolf, half-human former packmate, Francesca 'Frankie' Newman. I enjoyed them both very much. Individually they were funny and entertaining, and as a couple they were refreshingly free from unnecessary drama. They both recognised that they were mates relatively early on and rather than fighting against it they accept its inevitability. Trick was dominant but was willing to let Frankie proceed at her own pace, and though Frankie was also dominant she was willing to accept that Tick felt the need to assert his dominance in the bedroom and she was able to give him that.
The conflict was all external to them and this meant that they approached danger as a team and I thought this worked really well. All of the usual supporting characters were there and the relationships and humour inherent in the series were as strong as ever.
All in all an excellent installment and I can't wait to read more!
Frankie is a sculptor and a wolf shifter. When she was three her father killed her mother, then himself. Her mother’s parents took her away from the pack and lied to her. She receives an email saying she has an aunt and grandmother who wants to see her before she passes away. She meets her aunt and one of the shifters go with her. Trick knew Frankie when she was little but hadn’t seen her in years. As soon as his wolf gets a smell of her, it knows she’s their true mate. But he’ll have to go slow or he’ll scare her away. Frankie knows there’s something special about Trick because her wolf is calm and likes him.
As Frankie gets to know her family and packmates, she’s almost kidnapped. Her grandparents aren’t happy with her and her uncle tries to pay Trick off to leave her alone. She tries to remember what happened the night her parents died. While searching her old house with her aunt, the killer traps them in the basement. Trick is fighting a wolf pack when he realizes Frankie is in trouble. As a races to her, can he get to her in time before the house collapses?
Awesome book. Funny, suspenseful, steamy. Wolves. Secrets and surprises. I can’t wait for Dominic’s story.
