This is apparently the last book in the series. For me it is the only book of the series that I read. It opens with a back story of how Stanley Jorgensen coming home from the office hoping to have lunch with his wife only to be surprised at the scene that is taking place. She is not having sex with someone else but let’s just say it is something along the lines of BDSM. This throws him into a tail spin and he ends up in a different town divorced and in need of a friend. He makes a friend and then decides to open a bar. From the bar he meets different people one is Crystal. He then decides to open a BDSM club and this club becomes very successful. He also is falling in love with Crystal you just don’t get the total picture until the end. Because of a phone call he decides to sell the bar to Crystal and other friends and leaves. It is when he comes back and then the epilogue that really make this whole book into a story and the author ties up everything not everyone. Yes there is sex, but this book is so much more and the way the Crystal character changes from the first introduction to the last page is wonderful. This is a very good book.

Ohhh, this book was VERY near to being a 4 stars, I tell ya! I liked the storyline, and the male MC was very engaging. The female MC however was sold a bit short, but nothing too problematic that it makes you want to leave the book.

I loved the whole emotional development between the couple, and the BDSM scenes were a nice feature to read about (you know me by now 😏).

The ending was.... hmmm, can’t describe it, but something about it left me with no closure 🤨 Anyways, it’s all me, not you! LOL

The story is clean and clear. Loved the BDSM part and enjoyed the emotion train throughout the story. Recommended to everyone who likes to read about BDSM.

Silken Courage by Laci Paige, book 5 in the Silken Edge series. A another great addition to the series. I've enjoyed this series. With their very spicy content and great storylines. I look forward to reading more by Laci Paige.

I was interested to see how this book compared to the likes of those written by E.L.James and Sylvia Day. In terms of the writing quality, the book is well written in terms of grammar and sentence structure, but does seem to skate through the years somewhat.
The main character also isn't that compelling. Things also happened a little too conveniently for the characters and there wasn't any real conflict till near the end. And even then the characters didn't have to work for resolution. The author also seems to slide into the stereotype of males being the dominant figures.
For people who like a nice easy romance read with a little edginess, I think this is an ideal book. It has more plot than a Mills and Boon type novel but was otherwise similar.

Silken Courage is a long spanning, heartfelt story.

When Stan walks in on his wife doing something he cannot unsee and breaks his heart, he walks back out on her and their marriage. He ends up opening a bar, making new friends, and broadening his horizons and embracing the last thing he ever thought he'd be involved in.

I've read a couple other books in this series, Silken Desires and Silken Secrets; I disliked Silken Desires but loved Silken Secrets and figured it would be my favorite in the series, but Silken Courage has taken that spot in my heart. Stan and Crystal's journey is so beautiful, so loving, and that ending?! Talk about a tearjerker. Who knew a BDSM story could tear the heart apart like Silken Courage did.

Stan's marriage ends when he sees his wife in a compromising situation so he leaves her and everything and everyone behind to start a new life. He opens a bar that he has worked very hard to get. He meets Crystal and her friends from Slipnot which he came to like very much. To Crystal and her friends, BDSM is a very important part of their lfe, except for Stan who feels threatened ..The last part of their book had me crying but it ended happily
