⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars sorry!!

I love Lisa’s books but sorry I just didn’t enjoy this one as much.

I couldn’t gel with any of the characters except Freddie, whose chapters I couldn’t wait for.

And what was that ending? Was it meant to be a twist?

Disappointing.

Lisa Jewel’s 16th book. Another great read. Intricately woven tale of past creeping into the present. Would definitely recommend any of Lisa Jewel’s books. Thank you NetGalley.

Great novel. The first Lisa Jewell that I’ve read but it won’t be the last. Read the whole book in one sitting. Great character development

I am a big fan of lisa jewell so could not to wait to read this and was not disappointed there is quite a lot of people to remember in book but you do as each one important tom and nikki sound like the perfect couple and there son Freddie a bit strange joey is very sassy there quite a few more in book but all comes together and as all her books very twisty and never who you thought it was I highly recommend this book as always you are in for a treat

I am a huge fan of this author and this book didn’t disappoint. It’s a cleverly written novel about family and relationships that keeps you guessing right to the last page. I could not put this down and can’t wait for the her next book.

This story was quite enjoyable but also a bit confusing. There were too many characters so it was hard to keep track off what was really happening in the story. I still did like it but I felt it could have been better executed

Fabulous read. So many twists and turns and the book becomes more intriguing as it goes along. I would certainly recommend this book for those that love an intriguing psychological thriller.

Another amazing story by Lisa Jewell. The characters engage you from the word go.. the story revolves around Tom Fitzwilliam. He is the new principal and everyone loves him. However looks can be deceiving!

I usually really like her books, but this one had too many characters and took
a long time to get into.

Lisa Jewell is a wonderful writer, one of my favourites. She has a great way of creating suspense that leaves you rushing to finish the story and unable to put it down. Watching You is no different, and I read it in 2 sittings, keen to find out exactly what was going on. While I didn't enjoy it as much as Jewell's previous few novels, it was still a good story.

Plenty of characters, but all well written so it's easy to keep up with who's who, and who's chapter it is. All characters a little odd in their own way, with secrets and little obsessions. But likeable too. Overall, a strong 4/5.

This book confused me with so many characters in it. I normally love Lisa Jewell books but didn't enjoy this one as much as her others

Hey, so as a fan of Lisa Jewell’s last book I was keen to read and review this book and am really glad I did...
The book is based on, I guess as the title would suggest, ‘watching’ be it people watching in person, through a telescope, via the internet or just ‘out your window’ add into this the reason various people are watching ie Lust, Envy, Hate, Anger and Paranoia and base it all around a village where a lot of the ‘cast’ live in the well known coloured houses at the top of the hill and you get a taster of the story....add a headteacher with a murky past,a woman who is convinced she is stalked and tormented by a gang of people ( fascinating to read this is a real condition and there are many internet sites n groups that deal with this ) people with secrets, intrigue and tension and your getting there
The subjects of Aspergers and teenage sucuide and bullying are in the book and with no punches pulled but dealt with well
I loved this book ( can you tell ) it was fascinating to read and become part of these characters life for a few days and be drawn into their world and thats how the book made you feel, that you really were there and part of it
The ending of the book and the lead up to it was really too good to be merely classed as a ‘twist’ as its far more than that.......
I was reading afterwards that Lisa Jewell has 15 previous books and I have read 1 (2 now) so I have some
catching up to do
Fab book 10/10 5 stars, make a note of the publication date and its one of my favourite books this year and you will love it

a fantastic read. loved the story and the characters. loved the ending too. cant wait to read more from lisa Jewell. 5*.

Not my favourite of Lisa Jewells novels. Was very hard to get into at first, due to the amount of characters. By the time the book picked up pace I had guessed 'whodunnit'. It had improved by the end but too many red herrings for me. Hoping she returns to form for her next book.

Omg,Lisa Jewell has totally blown me away again.Watching You is a mesmerizing,twist packed,gripping tale of secrets,obsessions,stalking,misconceptions,friendships and deception that hooks the reader in from the very first page right through to the jaw dropping final twist

The reader has to get to quite a large number of diverse characters as this enthralling thriller unfolds.But the story is largely voiced by Joey who is newly married to Alfie, they are both staying in one of the stunning houses on Melville Heights with Joey`s brother Jack and his heavily pregnant wife Rebecca.Then there's Freddie Fitzwilliam who lives two doors away with his parents Tom and Nicola.And finally there is fourteen year old Jenna Tripp who lives down in lower Melville with her mum Francis.We know from the beginning of the story that a violent crime as been committed and scattered throughout the book are police interviews with some of the characters.The behaviour and actions of a couple of the characters at times gave me the creeps because they came across as sinister and inappropriate but as happens in real life,not everything is what it appears to be.Sometimes a person's actions can be misinterpreted and misconstrued,making that person appear creepy and unlikable.By the end of the story I had completely changed my mind about a couple of characters,my thoughts and misconceptions turning out to be totally wrong.

No pages of this intricately plotted story comes across as unnecessary padding,The author's words flow from the page with ease drawing the reader into the world and lives of her vivid realistic characters.Worth far more than five stars and highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a seriously well written thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat and definitely messes with your head,leaving you feeling very dizzy but not wanting the story to end.

I really enjoyed the second half of the book but the first half was terrible. Nothing happens! Once the story picked up I found it enjoyable but it's not one a book to obsess over due to its predictable ending.

Took a little while to get into as there were so many characters, however once I got to know everyone I was gripped. There were many twists and turns and I did not figure out the way things were headed until right before it was revealed. The main problem with Lisa Jewell books are that they are too quick to read, so once I devour her new release I have to wait ages til the next one!!
