Death in Time by Robin Nyx is the third and final book in the The Extractor Trilogy published by Bold Stroke Books.

Much better than the second book and perhaps shorter as well or maybe it just felt that way since book two felt overly long and boring.

This time around Landry has to go back to 2055 to complete the mission with the help the FBI agent that was undercover and helped her escape from Delaney and Simson in the last book.

With addition of the new characters the story moves along at a better pace. And the author seems be setting up a new book that will maybe center on their relationship and a new adventure with a new Pulsus thanks to Delaney’s attempted takeover.

I had a strange sense of deja vu when reading the end of the story. I felt like I had read that story before. Maybe I traveled to the future, read the end of the book, and came back to the past. Or maybe the story was just predictable enough that it gave me a sense of deja vu? We may never know.

Overall I give it a three and a half stars but rounded up to four because the story quality improved over the last book. Perhaps the last two books should have just been one book?

Fast paced, well written.

Likable characters who are working their way through some very real issues in a paranormal setting.

Romance, adventure all in one book.

This is the third and final installment for Ms Nyx’s ‘Extractor Series’ If you had a chance to read the previous books in this series, great. I don’t think this book could ever be described as a stand alone book. Landry Donovan has to go back in time when her best friend Jacqulyn Delaney and fellow employee of Pulsus goes rogue. The action is fast and doesn’t stop until the end. Very nice read.

This is the third in Robyn Nyx’ Extractor series, and an excellent and satisfying conclusion to the story of Landry and Delaney, supported by some great secondary characters. For me, the second novel Change in Time is the best, but this story is very close. The three books ideally need to be read in their natural order to get the most from them, and in this respect, they form a true trilogy.
While the main thrust of the book is developing the Pulsus story, there is added focus here that is very much about love and respect, emotional conflict and mental health, and how adding all these to the mix can lead to real life-changing consequences for those involved, directly and indirectly.
As expected, the book is very well written, with plenty of action and twists and turns. All the very many story threads, and the inherent difficulties of time travel are handled with care, which is very satisfying. Overall, I loved this book and heartily recommend the whole series.

A seriously impressive end to this amazing trilogy! ‘Death in Time’, the third book in the series has Landry dealing with the repercussions of her friend Delaney’s actions. Her work as an extractor for Pulsus, an organisation that goes back in time to make small changes for the good of the future, is becoming more difficult. And it’s the emotional toll not the physical that worries her most. She has to face her own past as well as what she really wants for her future with Jade. The mission is full-on action that never lets up. Brooke Jackson adds something a bit different as she is not from their time. I liked her and she really worked as part of the team. The story had a real depth and answered a lot of questions. We got to see a very different side to Landry as she realised what it meant to love someone so completely. And it wasn’t just her love for Jade, but for others in her circle. I felt that they had completed a journey and I am so glad to have gone along for the ride. The whole arc was exceptionally well written. I highly recommend it.

Death In Time by Robyn Nyx is the third and final book in The Extractor series. It is science fiction with a lot of action thrown in and romance as well. It is a fantastic read and the perfect end to the series.

The story picks up where book two ends so it really is a must to read all the books in order. This book was slightly different than the previous two in that Nyx spent a good portion of the book looking at the personal relationships between Landry and the women in her life. Landry is the highly capable, brash and closed-off hero of the trilogy. She is able to set everything aside for her missions. She performs her missions as an extractor to make changes in the past to make a better future. When we first meet her in book one, she is a soldier first and nothing else. But here in book three, she has become so much more. She has a girlfriend, a mother, a best friend, dear friends and an honorary niece. We see her world grow and watch her emotional growth over the course of the novels. The redemptive power of love is a huge take-away from this book. There were more than a few times where I found myself on the verge of tears while reading some of Landry’s conversations with her best friend Delaney.

This isn’t to say that there isn’t a good amount of thrill and suspense. Nyx writes fantastic action scenes and deftly throws in plot twists along the way. I really found myself pausing to try and wrap my mind around the various time jumps and playing out their ramifications. There are two new characters added to the mix which brings just the right amount of freshness to the series.

I loved this book and this series. I can’t wait to see what this author has planned next.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
