An enjoyable fast paced read that has you hooked from the very first chapter, right through until the end. Although it felt like quite a short story, there was no unnecessary filling, or boring unnecessary back story. Riviting.
This fast-paced thriller captured my attention and had a cinematic quality. It had MI5 intrigue, chases, deaths, secrets, but also a look at the sacrifices a mother will make for her children. This is not the type of book I’d usually read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved this book!!
I couldn’t read it quick enough. It has a brilliantly written storyline when gets started right from the beginning... I quickly wanted to find out more. I loved the way that the story unfolded. Sara our main character was found aged 10 trapped in a bath full of water and the only thing she knew was her name.
There were only a couple of clues left but not much to go on. Her main problem...... who she could trust. The book really gripped me and I had to find out about Sara’s past. There are some other really great characters that were developed in the book and I would love to read more about them in another book.
It’s published on the 23rd August so grab a copy! It’s well worth it!
I received an advance copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A fast paced story with twists and turns that keeps me hooked for on page one to the very end. Brilliant story.
A ten year old girl is found in a homemade sensory chamber. The only thing she knows about herself is her name Sarah Eden. When she is found she has very few possessions. A battered cassette player, a cheap necklace, a few scraps of paper and a Polaroid of a stranger. On the back is written DON'T TRUST THIS MAN. Using these clues and her life skills she needs to get back to her mother. Her life skills are definitely not those of a little girl. WHY are men after her and what do they want?
A good thriller.
I would like to thank the author Anthony Mosawi, Penguin U K and Net.galley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for giving an honest review.
I just loved this brilliant read that had me glued to the pages from the start. This was my first Anthony Mosawi book and I will certainly read him again. You explore what this book is about as you read it is only towards the end that you get a clear picture but I enjoyed getting to the end. I actually wanted more!!!!!
I would highly recommend this book to everyone, I already told my daughter about it!!! Great writing style with equally great characters.
A young child, Sara, is found in a junkie's house, in a home made sensory deprivation chamber, She is taken into care and the book is about her life and the secrets behind why she was found in this way.
I thought this book was a tense and gripping story. It felt very much like spy thriller so the more fantastical storyline jarred with me - I enjoyed it but I felt it didn't sit well with the rest of the plot. However, that is a minor point. The characters are believable and well written, the plot races along, there is lots of twists and turns, and a nice set up for the next book. I would definitely like to read more of this.
The plot involves a girl/woman trying to find out about her past while staying ahead of the security services who are after her. There's a fair amount of jumping back and forth in the timeline. Once I started it was hard to put down and very easy to read, I read it in about 4 sittings. I enjoyed it and would be interested to see where the story goes - this really reads as a book 1 in a series.
I have just read Trust No One by Anthony Mosawi Courtesy of NetGalley. Here is my review.
Story of Sara and her family who are no ordinary family.
The beginning was hard for me as a spy story scenario opened. Images of James Bond was going through my mind and I hate spy thrillers. But the is spy story with a difference. The story opens to the finding of a young girl, Sara Eden in a water tank with no memory and no trace of her family.
I just could not get into the story which reverts back and forth between Sara and the intelligence agency. Well written, good characters, not for me. Many thanks to Michael Joseph and Anthony Mosawi for allowing me to read this advance readers copy (ARC).

I found this book quite hard to read with the movement of time and characters and all the high-tech wizardry which was a bit beyond me and the premise was a bit far-fetched, but fiction is fiction. Having said all that the book was so well written and fast paced and I could visualise all the action - I think it would make an excellent film so 3 and a half stars from me.
Many thanks to Netgalley/ Anthony Mosawi and Michael Joseph for a digital copy of this novel. All opinions expressed are my own. Good luck on publication, I'm sure it will be successful.
Breathless, exciting, frenetic, exciting and original. This is a truly original story with a plot and characters that will grab you from the opening page and take you on a breathless white knuckle ride.
Loved it!
If you like fast paced thriller/espionage novels, then give this author a try.
In 1993 young girl is found in a sensory deprived situation; who is she and who did this to her?
In present time an elite group of soldiers target the destruction of a building with a lone figure inside; why and who is it?
This fast paced novel is an intriguing read but has far too many minor characters who muddy the plot. With some unanswered questions at the end does this mean a sequel is planned?
This is a fascinating story of a family with special abilities who were trained to be agents of the state. The mother eventually rejects this and the story is about what happens to them all. Totally enthralling, full of imagination and non stop action, with a great conclusion. I loved every minute.
What a totally fantastic read from start to finish, it pulled me in at the beginning and spat me out totally spent at the end, I loved it, if you loved I am Pilgrim and Orphan X, then this is definitely a read for you, I'm so hoping there's a next one.
Trust No One is the gripping story of a young girl Sara Eden who has no long term memory and doesn’t know anything about her life or family, but does have special powers of intuition. As she searches for clues about her life, she encounters danger, threat and deceit in everyone she meets, she really can ‘trust no one’.
A gripping read with lots of plot twists, complex characters and little snippets to keep you hooked till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and thank you to Net Galley, Penguin books and the author for allowing me to review it.
Would definitely recommend.
It took a little while to get into this book, but it was worth persevering. The author showed incredible imagination throughout which gripped me to the end.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
What can I say only wow, this book was a rollercoaster of a story. Absolutely brilliant, great storyline, great characters. It had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I wanted more. Definately worth 5stars. I will be recommending this book to anyone.
At 10 years of age, Sara Eden is discovered in a sensory deprivation water bath. Her only possessions are a cheap necklace, a Walkman cassette player, a few pieces of paper and a Polaroid of a man she doesn't remember; on the back of which is a warning - 'Don't trust this man'.
Sara is aware she's being pursued and in terrible danger but doesn't know why or by whom. As she sets out to discover her true identity, fragments of her memory begin to return. Still unable to connect the pieces, she knows she must find her long-lost mother who will be able provide what Sara seeks. But who is the man in the photo and why must she not trust him?
Trust No One is the debut novel by author Anthony Mosawi. It's a fast-paced thriller with an excellent storyline. However, the timeline jumps around significantly during the first half of the book making it feel somewhat disjointed. Secondly, seemingly unconnected events take a while to eventually fit together. Don't be put off though; it's a very good read, but just ensure you mentally take note of the chronology.
The story is complex and imaginative; involving mind control, reconnaissance and technical jargon (which I won't even pretend to understand). Okay, so the mind control was a little unbelievable but this is fiction after all! I like my fiction to be all-consuming and this book certainly achieved that by the bucketload.
I would like to thank Penguin UK-Michael Joseph and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Trust No One’ written by Anthony Mosawi in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
A girl is found in a water-filled enamel bath with a lid on top, which is being used as a sensory deprivation chamber to brainwash her and remove all her memories. When found all she can say is her name, Sara Eden, and that she was born in Scotland in 1980, and details of her parents. ‘Trust No One’ is the story of her search for her mother and what happens to her, and those trying to put an end to her life before she regains her memory.
When I saw the synopsis of this novel I thought it sounded just my sort of book, and although there was a lot that was good in it, it was unusual and I found it difficult to get into. I would almost class it as supernatural with Sara executing extraordinary feats no young girl could accomplish, with men from MI5 and GCHQ all searching for her. The beginning was very good and the ending gripping, with a cliff-hanger conclusion leading to a second novel, but the middle seemed rather long and tedious. It wasn’t the sort of novel I can get lost in, but that’s not to say there aren’t going to be lots of readers who love it.
To compare this to I Am Pilgrim is inappropriate. I found this hard to start and difficult to stick with. Well enough written, the context is bizarre and hard to identify with.
