Wonderful book. Well written, nicely evocative of time and place, with complex yet likable characters and an interesting plot. I liked it very much.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC ebook in exchange for a review.

I am unfamiliar with this author but decided to try it. I did find it a bit of a slow starter with the plot developing slowly but did end up enjoying it.

Overall it is a good debut novel and I would recommend.

I feel really disappointed by this one. The over is lovely and the blurb held so much promise. However it felt like the author was trying too hard and that, coupled with the odd e-book layout made it a difficult read. It did have some lovely elements and I liked the timeline.

I don’t feel the title of the book goes with the story. I feel The Lost Letters has very little mention in the story but that didn’t stop me enjoying it and I would recommend it

thank you net galley for an advance reader copy of this book. This book was a very slow start. There are too many characters being introduced, not enough page turning action, and in general too many unconnected details. I love this time period and that the author used a split time line to tell the story.

I received a copy of this book through netgalley, which resulted in a veryheartwarming read, especially liked the wsy it moved from past to the present and how the story developed from disliking some characters in the book to loving them as the story developed in the plot.
Brings out real feel of relationships and friendships that can survive the test of time through difficulties.
Heartwarm novel sometimes a tear jerker but highly recommed it to all readers,as it covers a wide variety of readers.

This book needs an editor and beta reader. The format for the ebook was horrible and the layout was hard to read. I suggest author hire some help! The cover is absolutely beautiful but as the saying goes.... “You can’t judge a book by its cover!”

Lucky me- I was given an advanced copy of The Lost Letters by Sarah Mitchell in exchange for my honest review, and let me tell you- I LOVED this book! The story begins in present day as Martha Rodwell is leaving the comforts of home in Canada for a trip to the UK after her father's recent death. The purpose of Martha's trip widens when she and her sister find out their father was holding on to some major secrets over the course of his life. Without giving away anything pertinent, Martha's trip leads to several shocking discoveries about her father's life and leads to some major self-discoveries as well, certain to affect everyone around her. I loved that the setting alternated from present day to World War II era, as there were so many historical moments that helped set the stage of past perfectly. I felt like I was living in the 1940s and was experiencing what Sylvia and Connie were going through right along with them.

This book was a quick read because there were so many questions I needed answered, which meant I had to keep reading! I really felt for the characters in the book, especially Connie, Martha, and Sylvia, and didn't know how things would end up until the very end. My heart broke for the women who had to endure so much during this time and for the hardships so many women had to endure during the war. The ending was extremely satisfying and Sarah Mitchell did a fabulous job tying up all the loose ends.

The Lost Letters by Sarah Mitchell comes out in August 2019 and is available for Pre-order now.

Not as good as I was hoping..The back on forth at times became confusing and I found it just boring and long... Good concept, plot and character developement, but wasn't that engaging.

Better than expected. The character development was actually really good. The tropes in the book prevented me from fully loving it, however, this is a solid plot with a solid idea. Definitely not a waste of an afternoon.
