This is not a book to be rushed through - I wanted to savour every word - obviously there was sadness and heartbreak but there was humour too: Talk of Maya:
'She doesn't have a "walk" programme installed. Skip, run or dawdle are the only settings.'
'Well, I love Daddy more than you. I love Daddy to the moon and back. I only love you to Hebden Bridge and back, so there.'
Mel goes through life worrying about what may happen, until it happens!
This is sensitively handled and takes in so many angles - friendship, family, hidden secrets, overdue truths.
Fascinating and I thoroughly recommend! Obviously a well researched book.
Not my first Linda Green, and certainly not my last.
Very many thanks to Netgalley/Linda Green/Quercus Books for a digital copy of this title. All opinions expressed are my own.

I found this book unputdownable, excellent ,I felt myself asking myself what would I do in the same situation! I give this book six stars if I could, great holiday reading .

Having read several of Linda Green’s books I was delighted to review this book from netgalley.
This book made me really think how I’d cope if my husband had an accident ( I’m not the patient type) the way this was written really moved me, the love between Mel and Adam was so touching I had tears in my eyes.
A must read have the tissues at the ready!

A love story with a twist...original, a little slow in places, but despite this the ending seemed a little rushed. I really liked Adams character until the end, which I know is kind of the point, but it was a shame. A well written easy to read story.
