Whether or not one intends to be a Keto devotee, this cookbook contains recipes to inspire even the most reluctant reader. Cheesy spinach pancakes, cream of mushroom soup, three cheese crustless mini quiches, and harissa skillet chicken....yes!
A great resource for those starting out on Keto. It was very helpful to read and allowed those that were thinking of Keto to understand more and see that they could eat foods that they are use to. I think it could be a great asset to any kitchen even if they aren't full keto.
Great book! Love keto and these recipes. They are easy to follow for beginners. Can’t wait to try them out.
This is the best book for those interested in Keto, what it means, how it works, and how to start.
This book discusses the phases, how to move into these foods, things to look at if you aren't losing weight, allergies, actual studies, USDA based information, all of it. I love this book. This has answered so many questions I had regarding Keto.
Great introduction to the Keto diet! Detailed explanation about what the diet is about and how it works in the body. Great for beginners with the pros and cons of the diet too. The recipes are clear an easy to follow and look delicious!
Thank you Netgalley and Fair Winds Press for an advanced copy of this book.
The last two years have been the years of the Keto diet ! Having to understand all the right ratios of proteins, carbs and fats one would need to proceed has been overwhelming to me.
This book answers all the questions you might have about this new diet. It is a very informative book accompanied by a plethora of easy to follow recipes with beautiful photos.
The author is extremely knowledgeable on the topic.
I would definitively recommend this book to anyone wanting to understand and then expand their Keto endeavors.
More than a diet it is a lifestyle.
many Thanks to Fair Winds Press and to Martina Slajerova for this Advance Copy.
This book has tons of information about Keto. As someone who is interested in this way of eating, I was very impressed with the outing. I loved the flavored butter section. All the recipes looked absolutely delicious. There are a lot of Keto books out there, but this in the only one I find to be worth buying.
The beginner's KetoDiet Cookbook.
I've been curious about the KetoDiet for a while. So when I had the chance to review this I was excited.
The book is very well done with lots of interesting recipes that even if you didn't want to follow Keto all the way, they would be good. The pictures are lovely as well.
The author gives a very detailed explanation about having a KetoDiet and the many positive things about it.
I'd definitely recommend reading this book and I will be trying a few recipes myself.
I am at now at the age (36) where weight will not come off, no matter what. I have heard many people have success from a Keto / low carb diet. However, each time I try to do some research on it, I don't know where to start and quickly give up. I LOVE how this book starts off with a basic and easy to understand explanation of a Keto diet and exactly where you should start.
How many carbs are in an apple, or a cucumber? In the past I quickly grew sick of looking this up each time I wanted a snack. This book is great by providing you an easy to read table of Total and Net Carbs for common foods (fruits, veggies, protein, seeds/nuts). Another favorite page of mine is the "Low Carb Swaps" section - This will take common indulgences/down falls and provide you with alternative substitutes as well as provide you with keto staples to keep in your fridge/pantry.
For me to be interested in a cooking book, the most important thing is PICTURES. I need a picture for every recipe. If there is not a picture for a recipe, I will not make it. The pictures that are included are beautifully, however, ideally I really think there should be a picture for EVERY SINGLE recipe.
I love the nutritional facts on each recipe - being a "diet" book I am extremely happy to see this at the bottom of each page.
I am extremely happy to see a drinks and desserts chapter - who doesn't need a treat now and again?
4 out of 5 stars. Would be 5 stars if more pictures.
Such a helpful and informative book for keto dieters. The recipes are easy and the pictures make you want to try them out. I really recommend this to people just starting keto to those who need more inspiration or have plateaued.
Unfortunately I cannot give my opinion about this one. I was veey curious about the recipes and looking forward to know more about the keto diet, but I couldn't read the book because it wasn't supoorted by kindle or epub (for iBooks)
Colorful pages of tasty looking dishes, lots of information on the Keto diet, with a personal story too and tips on what to eat and what to avoid!
I read in the back of the book, that the author Martina Slajerova has several other Keto Diet books. I might check those out and find recipes that are more suitable for me and my family.
This book has great information about the Keto Diet, but the majority of the recipes are sadly, not my taste.
I received this ebook from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.
Yummy recipes in this KetoDiet cookbook. Some interesting recipes found inside to try with some being inspiration too. There are a good variety of options provided with easy to follow instructions and details about Keto.
The Beginner's KetoDiet Cookbook is a newbie’s guide to a healthy diet for losing weight and managing diabetes and other serious illnesses. Includes 100 tasty whole food, low-carb recipes to help you break through weight-loss logjams and adapt to the Keto lifestyle for good.
Author Martina Slajerova says the first few weeks can be challenging as you adjust to burning fat rather than carbs. So each recipe is geared to meeting the key nutrient requirements of this phase. Sample recipes include Breakfast Chili, Avocado Power Balls and Dulce de Leche Fudge, which all sound delicious. 5/5
Grateful to the Quarto Publishing Group - Fair Winds Press and NetGalley for the early copy, in exchange for my true review.

This book starts of with explaining what the book is and what everything means and the authors personal story and why they started eating this way. It’s pretty thorough when going over what you should know before starting. It doesn’t have a set meal plan but gives you recipes to pick and choose from and teaches you how to track your macros. Overall it had more variety of recipes than some of the other kept books I own and have used!
For anyone considering trying a keto diet this would be a good place to start! The introduction is the key to understanding how the diet works and it's effects on the metabolism. The recipes are many, varied, uncomplicated and accompanied by colourful pictures...and it includes desserts. I can't wait to try some of these inviting and healthy recipes. Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC.
I love every cookbook she has published and this is no different. I have lived the keto life style for a couple of years now and I consider her books the bible of keto. I am vegan so meat as a protein option does not work for me but I am able to adapt some of the others that don't contain meat. This book is a wealth of information for anyone starting on the journey. Thanks for the opportunity to read this book.
As someone who is at the very beginning on this keto journey, this book comes in handy . The information available in this book helps alot! Thanks for the opportunity!
Out of all the diets I have dabbled with, Keto has been the most intimidating for me. Having to figure out protein, fats, carb ratios can be overwhelming when all I want to do is have my breakfast before my kids start to ask for second helpings with theirs.
Slajerova took away all the anxiety I have about Keto and provided an easy-to-follow guide to the most elusive diet known to man, or at least to me. The food list she offers is a helpful way for beginners like me to understand the break down of foods and the benefits the diet provides when followed correctly.
The recipes vary, but are simple without having to labor over a long ingredient list or slave over long preparation and cooking which a busy parent like me appreciates and values.
Very good book. I found it easy to read for a beginner like myself. The charts are a big help and the information is very informative. This book includes recipes which the few I tried were actually good. Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
