I'm totally enthused by this latest cookbook from Nadiya and have already tried the Smoky Spinach Shakshuka as finding myself on my own this evening and having the requisite ingredients (and being some of my favourite combinatons) decided to give it a go. Totally yummy. Not sure about for breakfast though but that's me! As I've friends coming for lunch tomorrow I'm going to try the Ham and Cheese Crown probably replacing the ketchup with some homemade tomato chutney. Also the Eclair Roll looks totally amazing as do the other desserts, especially the Cheesecake being a great family favourite in all guises and I agree with Nadiya that a simple baked one is the best.
I love Nadiya's chatty style and easy delivery. I know from experience that her recipes work and are easy to adapt to what's available.
Now that the television series has started to accompany this book I look forward to watching and enjoying the new series. My daughter, I know, will love it having a young growing family and I am intending to buy it for her at Christmas (her birthday has passed) as I know she will get a lot out of it.
Amazing photography and beautiful recipes! I want to make so many of them! I am looking forward to watching the show and getting my hands on a full copy of the book.
Lovely photos and some really delicious sounding recipes - I'll definitely give them a try! Nadiya's personality definitely shines through too.
This is a lovely cookbook from Nadiya. I really like how she write about her family and the food. And lots of great recipes - I like the Grapefruit Chicken Stew with Couscous and Halloumi Curry ones the best from this sample version of the book I received.
I read it on my computer in the end as I wanted to see the colour photos which come up as monochrome on my Kindle. I would have liked the title of the recipe to be on the page with the recipe itself as it is only above the photos which are on the next page. I can't work out how to view 2 pages together on the computer so constantly had to swap to the next page to see which recipe we were on. The colour photos are really lovely. I need to try the upside down cheesecake recipe next!
With thanks to NetGalley and Michael Joseph Comm for a free sample copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have stopped buying cookery books as there are just too many out there, however like most of the UK Nadiya entertained me enough on GBBO that I was interested to see what her new book had for me. I was won over with the cheese curry - yes two of my favourite things together and absolutely delicious. The ingredients were easy to find, it was fairly easy to cook (meaning I'll make it more than once) and the result went down well with my family. I'll definitely be trying more!
Hard to tell from a sampler - but I'm a fan of Nadiya from her appearance on the Great British Bake Off. From the recipes included it seems like it would be a good purchase for a family.
I got a sampler of this book and it has really whet my appetite for the full version of the book. The sheer quality and vividness of the pictures that accompany each recipe are amazing. Each recipe has its own picture on the page next to it to allow the reader to understand the culinary journey they are undertaking. The book is broken down into several different sections of different foods and each sections has so many amazing and exciting recipes. I would recommend all check out Nadiya's book.
Nice sampler. Look forward to reading the whole thing and trying out some of the recipes. Samosa pie sounds intriguing.
The sampler for Nadiya’s Family Favourites features some wonderful recipes, the setup and format is brilliant. It is bright and the pictures are perfect to show off Nadiyas personality.
Nadiya’s Family Favourites – Once again Nadia has come up with simple, beautiful and mouth watering recipes. This time she is cooking family favourites with her own unique twists. I love the that her recipes are easy to follow and turn out fabulous. So far, my favourites from each category are.

Lunch – Chicken, Mango & Red Pepper Salad, Pomegranate & Parsley Tabbouleh and Teriyaki Tofu & Edamame Salad.
Sides and Sharers – Cheese Biscuits with Tomato Jam, Hummus Three Ways and Prawn Potstickers with Sweet Soy Dip.

These are just a few of my favourite recipes from the book. But just like Nadiya’s last book I know I will have more favourites to come soon. I really recommend this cookbook.
The book is bright, brilliantly laid out and the recipes are easy to follow, illustrations are colourful and the recipes will be easy to follow.
I loved this sample, I like Nadiya's writing style and the way she talks about food and her family. I liked her recipes. I really liked the idea of her porridge recipe and the recipe for bacon jam.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.
I liked the look of some of these recipes and will probably give a few a try. The photography is beautiful and enticing but it’s hard to get a sense of the balance of the collection from a sampler so I’m going to have a flick through in a shop before I decide if I buy myself a copy.
Nadiya is fast becoming a stample in my home. Despite not having a place to cook in my new apartment, I will still buy this book that oozes with Nadiya’s charm.
I love the way Nadiya includes snippets from her family life among her recipes. How she came across the recipe, why it's a family favourite and so on. It makes the book that bit more than just another cookbook. There's some great recipes in there too.
Although I only read a sampler, this looks great. The recipes are clearly presented, pictures are lovely and there's enough of Nadiya's chatty style to make it interesting to read.
A wonderful sampler of a very engaging cookbook. They're great recipes, simple ingredients and easy to follow. I know I'll be buying multiple copies of this for friends.
Thank you to netgalley and penguin for letting me have a little sneak peek at Nadiyas new cookbook. I must say the introduction was just wonderful in this book and really showed Nadiyas personality!
We made the beef burgers with bacon jam and they are absolutely fabulous, definitely a dish that I will be making again. The halloumi curry has intrigued me so I feel I’ll be trying that out soon. Also that eclair roll looks pretty damn good.
Can’t wait for the release of this cookbook as I think it’s a book that I would use again and again.
I can't wait for the TV series and the fully published book to come out as the sample looks great. Nadia's frindly and personable way of speaking and writing makes you feel that a friend has come into your home or written to you personally as you engage with this book. The recipes are not only interesting and useful but come with wonderful tips and comments which make this so much more than just another recipe book. I shall be buying copies for many friends and family.
Love this sampler of Nadiya's new book - there are some delicious recipes and I have already tried the Spinach and Paneer Kati Rolls and it was divine - really easy to make (my favourite sort!) The recipes are easy to follow and there is a lovely mix of veggie and meaty ones and of course some cakes! There are lovely notes before each recipe from Nadiya . A great looking cookery book
