This book is billed as an Italian holiday romance but over half the book takes place in England so that was a bit of a surprise.
It's well written but I never really connected with any of the characters.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This was a fun read. The contrast of the Lake District locations and the Italian ones was nicely done. Both sounded really nice and although the Italian ones are of course more exotic, life in the Lakes just sounds perfect!
There’s always a lovely piece of escapism in Sue Roberts books and this was no exception. Both locations were holiday dreams but this time both came with renovation problems which helps her come to terns with her problematic past.
The scene setting was lovely and the time spent in Lake Como proved to be quite challenging in more ways than one. You can feel the torment Gina feels for wondering if she needs a change of scenery, a change of everything in her life and it was a nice summer journey to go on with her!
