First book of H A Dawson's that I've read and she didn't disappoint. The storyline was intriguing and made you want to keep reading. Although I have to say that the grammar was a bit frustrating especially the mixed up pronouns.
Shona is a district nurse who specialises in palliative care. Carmen is currently being treated for stage three cancer and specifically requests Shona to be her nurse. Their relationship is rocky to say the least with Carmen being a difficult patient. One day she enlists Shona to help her track down her son who she hasn't ever seen
Reluctantly Shona agreed to help her and tells Carmen that she will also ask her boyfriend, Justin, to help with his computer skills.
Shona has her own demons to uncover with her mother and her grandmother doing all they can to dissuade her from digging up the past.
A lot of twists and turns, highly emotional, worth reading.
