Merry Christmas Baby is the first novella in the O’Connor family series. Since I went in knowing the length of the book I wasn’t expecting much on the character development side of things and honestly, neither should you, so I wasn’t disappointed when the development never came. What I wasn’t happy about was the fact that we never saw another O’Connor member in this book. It was rather odd, especially considering the series name. Unlike most of the other series, there was no setup for the second book and it was weird.
Tease me baby: I found the second novella in the series to be better than the first one (Merry Christmas Baby). The romance was good and I was happy with this short story. I wasn’t Fallon’s biggest fan, but she was ok and I have had worst heroines. Brad, on the other hand, is pure boyfriend material. He was good, I loved him and I consider him the best thing that happened in the novella.
Mistletoe Me, Baby is the fourth book in the O'Connor family series and it can be read as a stand-alone book. This is the story of Miranda and Nolan, two best friends who are about to become more. They have known each other for months now but refused to act on their attraction because it might have ruined their friendship so things remained platonic until Nolan realized that he might lose her to another man. There is no cheating or another woman or man, so don't worry about my comment. In fact, both of them didn't have any partners after they first met. The whole fake-fiance thing comes later in the book. Well, not much later since Mistletoe Me, Baby is a short book, but the foundation for Nolan's plan to make Miranda his has been already been set. I enjoyed reading this book very much, but I was not happy with the tragedy that stroked Miranda. For some reason, it felt cheap to me and it had almost no effect to the characters after the initial shock wore off. Despite that, I would recommend the book. It put me in a festive spirit. It had a good pace and the main characters were very likable
It’s me again baby: This is how you write a good second chance romance! You make either both characters celibate as it happened in this book, or you have both of them move on. This is my favorite story so far in the series, which is a surprise to me since I am not usually a fan of SCRs. I did wish that this story would be just a little bit longer, mainly because I enjoy Katie Reus' writing.
Cute collection of romances. They’re full of fabulous characters. Heavy on sex and light on story.
Merry Christmas, Baby - 3*
This is a cute little Christmas romance. Nora has been in Holly for nine months and she’s wanted Jackson for all that time.
After months of flirting and flitting around each other they go on a date. It’s amazing. But Jackson acts like an idiot and Nora has had enough.
Jackson has his work cut out for him. But he’s nothing if not determined.
Tease Me, Baby - 3*
Hot little romance.
Fallon is weeks away from heading to California. But she’s torn. While yes she wants to attend culinary school. She doesn’t really want to leave her family and friends. And this is before she gets hot and heavy with the sheriff Brad.
These two are perfect together. It’s a wonder they’ve managed to live in the same town for so long without combusting
It’s Me Again, Baby - 2.5*
This is an okay read. Both Samantha and Maguire are nice enough. But something was missing.
I just needed more.
Mistletoe Me, Baby - 3.5*
This was my favourite of the series.
I liked the characters and how they found themselves getting the push they needed.
Miranda has told her parents she’s engaged. So when they spring a last minute visit on her she has to find said fiancé.
Luckily she gave the name of her longtime crush Nolan. Nolan is only too happy to step into the role he’s wanted for so long. Only he’s no intention of stepping back once her parents have gone.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley.
4 sweet stars!
Fun and sweet stories to warm your heart and make you smile!
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
Jackson, Fallon, Maguire, and Nolan O'Connor's stories are all standalone reads, and do connect as some of the siblings will appear in each other's story. This collection makes it easy to have them all in one book. They are all fun, sweet, and sexy stories of each O'Connor finding a HEA, all in a place where you find Christmas year around, Holly, N.C. Heartwarming stories with a bit of angst and drama, this is a collection not to be missed. I would like to thank NetGalley and K.R. Press for gifting me the "O'Connor Family Series Collection for a fair and honest review. 5 Stars!
I’m a fan of most of Katie Reus’ books. Her paranormal Darkness series is a particular favorite of mine, especially the dragons. You just can never have enough hot, sexy dragon action. I also love her romantic suspense series, Redemption Harbor. It’s an auto-read for me with its mix of sexy alphas, strong heroines and lots of suspense. So I was thrilled when I got the chance to read and review The O’Connor Family Series Box Set. With the diverse genres of Ms. Reus’ that I have already been treated to, I shouldn’t have been surprised, but the majority of the books in this series are straight up contemporary romance, Although well written with some super nice characters, as an action lover, I need to be in a certain frame of mind to be able to read this type of book. That by no means meant I didn’t enjoy the stories because I did. I highly recommend this series to readers who enjoy a contemporary romance that focuses on sexy heroes and super sweet heroines rather than suspense. As these quick, easy to read stories are set in the Christmas themed town of Holly, North Carolina, this set is the perfect holiday escape when the stress gets to you.
I’m not going to do a full review of each book, but just give you little snippets of my overall thoughts on each one.
Merry Christmas, Baby
Nora and Jackson’s story was a super sweet little read. Jackson screwed up in a huge way, in fact, his faux paux was so big I’m not sure I’d have been as forgiving as Nora was. This made her a tad bit of a pushover in my mind, but not in a bad way. With absolutely no suspense, this story was pure romance with a huge dose of Christmas Cheer.
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Tease Me, Baby
Brad and Fallon’s story was extra sugary sweet. I love a sexy sheriff and Brad certainly delivered. Fallon was a bit harder to connect with as she was so far into her own head as she internally competed with her super sweet mother (of all people). Although entertaining, I think this book would have been a bit better if we had delved more into why Fallon was so focused on pleasing her Mom.
Rating: 3.5 Stars
It’s Me Again, Baby
Maguire and Sam’s story was my hands down favorite of the three stories I had not read before. This story was sexy sweet and had just a touch of suspense. I especially loved Sam and how she knew her fears and doubts were pure bunk, even going so far as to calling it her “inner bullshit”. As for Maguire, holy wow was he one sexy handful.

Mistletoe Me, Baby
As mentioned above, I read and reviewed this one last year. A best friends to lovers story, this was full of all the trimmings a Christmas romance should have including the extremely patient, super-hot, alphatastic hero, Nathan. Things got a bit deep for a minute, but Nathan had it well in hand. A quick, easy read with just a touch of drama, this was the perfect story to wrap up this sweet collection of Christmas cheer from the O’Connors.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the family interactions and relationships. Katie Reus is an author I can recommend to my customers and know that they will be happy with the characters and story line
Here’s a taste of what you’ll get with this four novella book series, folks:
Tease Me, Baby:
Katie Reus had me at hello with her gripping paranormal “Darkness” series, so I just couldn’t resist trying one of her “O’Connor Family” novella series. It doesn’t hurt I’m a sucker for cooking and sheriff themed romantic reads. Mix them together, and I was pretty certain I was going to be served up an entertaining literary treat before I even turned a page.
Fallon couldn’t help but fall for Brad, the handsome good guy sheriff, and vice versa. We meet them about a year after Fallon has returned to their hometown. Folks, these two simply couldn’t keep their hands and lips to themselves. This ended up being a steamy, yet sugary sweet, uncomplicated, low angst read. There really isn’t any major drama to mull over in this review.
If you are looking for a very short, hometown backdrop romantic tale with lots of steaminess, you might want to consider this one and the other books in the series, as well.
Title: Tease Me Baby, Series: O’Connor Family (Book 2), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 89, stand-alone novella that is part of a series, pastry chef heroine, sheriff hero, nonvirgin main couple, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama, VERY smexy scenes, not a manho, both have not been with anyone in quite awhile, sweet main couple, HEA
It’s Me Again, Baby:
In the short novellas that make up this series, Katie Reus gives us strong alpha protective, possessive heroes that are determined to get the girl. In this case, you can add “again” and “to keep her safe”. After a three year separation, this main couple learn they were duped and waste no time letting old feelings become new again. Since they both remained celibate, it’s pretty much like they never parted.
Lusty thoughts and graphic smexy scenes, some which are in rather public places, mostly steal the show, folks, But you feel the chemistry and emotional connection between this very likable main couple, as well.. With some stalker drama that isn’t overly drawn out, it all wraps up very neatly within the allotted 99 pages.
So if you are looking for a quick, very lusty, second chance romantic read in a small hometown setting featuring a sweet, likable main couple, you might want to consider this one and check out the other books, as well.
Title: It’s Me Again, Baby, Series: O’Connor Family (Book 3), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 99, stand-alone novella but part of a series, alpha protective hero, sweet/damsel in distress heroine, second chance romance, celibate since separation, stalker drama, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama, VERY smexy scenes in public places, HEA. Rating: 3.5 stars
Merry Christmas, Baby:
I just didn’t overly connect with Nora and Jackson, the main couple in the first novella. Their story was obviously meant to be sweet, but I found them a rather boring couple. Rating: 2.5 stars
Mistletoe Me, Baby:
Unfortunately, this novella wasn’t particularly engaging, as well. Perhaps it’s because it is an overly done theme. Nolan and Miranda’s romantic tale just wasn’t overly engaging. Rating: 2.5 stars
(I received an advanced reader copy via NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. No compensation was provided to me, nor do I have any affiliation with the author/publisher/NetGalley.)
This was a lovely contemporary romance series from an incredibly talented author. Usually in a collection there will be books I see as weaker than others, that for one reason or another just don't work for me. With The O'Connor Family Series that absolutely was not the case. Each book could comfortably stand alone without suffering from the dreaded 'series similarity' disease that seems to infect most series that I read (definitely when read back to back the way I did this one) with plot and characters that I was delighted to spend time with and will certainly re-read again in the future!
*Thanks the NetGalley and the publisher*
Katie Reus really knows romance with this box set of books. Wow what a fantastic series this really is. So couldn’t put down, but had to as I had to get some sleep lol but definitely picked it up again when I was wake :-) the author is a wiz at witty characters development and creative plots which this series had in spades. Just loved this series and can’t wait to read more by this author. Totally recommend
Merry Christmas, baby - This short but sweet novella is the start to another series by Katie. I’m slowly making my way through them all and loving them! This one is about Nora who moves to Holly with her sister, after inheriting a bookstore from an Aunt she never knew. Due to her taking guardianship she hasn’t really had time to date, until Jackson, former SEAL and all around golden boy from the town, he slips past her defences. When they eventually go on a date he promises to call, but doesn’t. Will he be able to get a second chance with her or is it too late?
Quick read but worth it and there were hints at other stories so keen to see what transpires from it all:)
Tease me, baby - I enjoyed this book more than the first, but I think it’s because I was familiar with Fallon and Brad:) Anyway, Fallon is supposed to be leaving for culinary school when she finds herself at the beginning of a new and exciting relationship with Brad, their town Sheriff! Sweet story and loved the ending:)
These two books I had already purchased and reviewed before I received the boxset as an advanced copy.
It’s me again, baby - Maguire O’Connor was struggling to transition back into civilian life after the Marines, so he threw himself into working. Mainly running an auto repairs place and a car restoration business. Now he’s looking to buy a bigger place and his mom finds him a new realtor. When he arrives, he realises the realtor is Samantha, the one woman he had and for some reason lost! Samantha can’t believe it when Maguire shows up for the property inspection, as it’s been three years since she last saw him.
Loved this story, it included everything I like in Katie’s books - suspense, romance and a little bit of danger!
Mistletoe me, baby - The final brother Nolan O’Connor finally gets a chance to claim the one woman who he has had feelings for when her parents show up unexpectedly before Christmas 🎄! Miranda knows that her and Nolan are best friends, but when she arrived she wasn’t looking for anything more especially when she took guardianship of her nephew Mateo, but now she has to ask him to be her fake fiancé because her parents are coming to town......expecting to meet her fiancé.....Nolan!
Loved this story, was emotional but a friends to lovers romance which was amazingly pure and heartfelt! I received this book as part of the box set from Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review. A must read series:)
All my reviews from above can also be found on Amazon AU.
Merry Christmas, Baby!
Nora and Jackson are a fun couple, young but each already successfully navigating more responsibility than many their age have.
This is a quick read. Lots of chemistry between characters. Fun secondary characters and situations. Not sure how many former SEALs are tongue-tied by a woman he knows is "the" one at first glance, bur Jackson is definitely charming and knows bow to go after what he wants... once he figures it out. True, he freaked at how permanent she felt in his arms, but he is a young man fresh out of service...
Nora seems a bit immature emotionally; she's devastated and hurt when he doesn't call her after a make-out; then there the rumor of him and another woman, but they'd made no official commitments. She admits her love life has been pretty much no existent since she officially became her younger sister's guardian. He didn't call her for 3 weeks... does she not have his number or doesn't it work both ways?
Putting that aside, this pair is cute and fun to read. Can totally picture them spatting and making up into old age.
Tease Me, Baby!
Brad and Fallon may take a while to act, but boy when they so the heat lights up the night. She may have plans to leave, but Brad is going to make sure she doesn't soon forget him, culinary school or not.
It’s Me Again, Baby!
This pair is something. They had a wild 1 week affair a few years back and were madly in love… until Samantha leaves without a word, after both professed to fall hard and fast to. He was devastated and still dealing with affects from service. Both threw themselves into very successful careers.
They see each other when she moves back and, after quickly dispensing past wrongs, can’t keep their hands off each other. Their bond is swift and true. It’s luke the years between never happened. Only they did. She gained confidence and he worked off the remnants of a few tours. Oh, and she also picked up a stalker while she was away, but figures its no big deal so why bring it up—until someone cuts her tires and tries to break into her home—while she was there. That adds another layer to their relationship, dealing with major major issues together and what is and isn’t Okay.
Of course, Mama O’Connor has a betting pool goin on this relationship too. She does know her kids pretty well. What will she do with all that cash if she wins? Hope she started a wedding fund, trust for future grandkids or Christmas. Her family keeps growing.
All of these stories revolved around families in the town of Holly. Some were Christmas stories, but all were sweet and fun to read. I highly recommend. All four stories have something that make you smile and sometimes laugh. Good job.
Katie Reus is a new author to me but since I love the Christmas Season this set was always going to be on my radar and I loved the O’Connor Family Series Collection books 1-4. I fell hook line and sinker for the O’Connor’s once I started reading there was no putting down until I had read the very last line. This Collection is full of characters you can’t help falling in love with they all have different strengths and weaknesses and Katie Reus has a way of drawing you in and making you feel part of the O’Connor clan it’s set in a small town called Holly where everyone knows everyone it’s just how I imagine what small town living in the USA is all about. This collection is beautifully written about a interesting family and I would recommend it to anyone who loves romance this collection will having you falling in love with the town of Holly and it’s inhabitants. Looking forward to reading more from this very talented author who is now must definitely on my radar.
5 Star review of O’Connor Family Series Collection (O’Connor Family #1-4) by Katie Reus
This was a new author to me and why that is so, I do not know. I absolutely adored the O’Connor Family Series Collection about the O’Connors of Holly, NC where Christmas is year round. The writing was strong in all four books and honestly, once I started I couldn’t put this book down. The characters and story lines were well developed and I fell for this family hard and fast. I enjoyed these books so much that I went and purchased the audible edition as well. One click now you won’t be disappointed.
Merry Christmas, Baby:
It’s my most favourite time of the year, add in romance and I am hooked to be sure. When friends' become lovers it is sure to muddy the waters and that is what happens to Nora and Jackson. After an unforgettable night Nora is flying high, that is until Jackson ignores her for 3 weeks. Now he is back and wants to pick up where they left off but Nora is determined that this is not going to happen. She is hurt by the distance that Jackson created and it is up to him to do some serious apologising. It appears that everyone wants Nora and Jackson together and there were numerous occasions where I found myself laughing out loud. The chemistry between Nora and Jackson sizzles and I loved the banter as these two friends finally came together. I also loved the relationship that Nora has with her sister.
Tease Me, Baby:
The second book is all about Fallon O’Connor, a pastry chef and Brad Fulton, Holly’s town sheriff . This was a fun quick read. Although Fallon is leaving Holly for culinary school, Brad is bound and determined to have her. Again the chemistry between these two was electrifying and I found myself smiling throughout this story. Above all else Tease Me Baby, is about following your dreams and opening yourself up to love. Fallon is a strong and determined
It’s Me Again, Baby:
This is a second chance at love story about Maguire and Samantha. There was intrigue and suspense as it was a great read. Sam left Maguire with no explanation and after getting out of the service he returns home and buries himself in work. When he looks for a house, his mother sets him up with a realtor who turns out to be Sam. Maguire is reeling from the shock but is determined that face has given him a second chance and it is up to him to take it. But can Sam and Maguire move on from their past?
Mistletoe Me, Baby:
The final book and is Nolan and Miranda story who are best friends although Nolan has wanted more for quite a while. However she is guardian to her nephew and does not feel she has time for a relationship. Trying to keep her parents off her back she tells them she is engaged. Shocked to learn that her parents have decided to visit her for Christmas, she turns to Nolan to play the part of her fiance. Nolan leaps at the chance as he is sure that he can get her to give him a chance once she gets past her initial fears. When tragedy strikes, will this bring them together or tear them apart? I fell hard and fast for Nolan, he is an alpha and totally dreamy.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.
Super fun holiday boxed set!! I liked the first book the least but the storylines got stronger as the books progressed. Great job!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are own.
A great holiday boxed set! I really enjoyed each title and thought they complemented each other well.
Merry Christmas, Baby: A cute Christmas story! I liked Nora and Jackson a lot and I felt their chemistry. It almost seemed like we came in during the middle of the story, which was an interesting story telling technique that I enjoyed more than I expected. It is a quick read, but a lovely Christmas romance.
Tease Me, Baby: It's hard not to love Brad. He may not be quite as much of a "boy scout" as he seemed at first, but he is such a good guy....and he rescued puppies! Fallon is kind of torn between the path she thinks she should take and the path she wants. Fallon and Brad have combustible chemistry, which even they can't seem to control. I loved the buildup in their relationship. I also really like how things were handled without any cliched tropes, but with communication and maturity. Fallon's family is great as well, and I loved the hockey game initiation! I really hope that future stories focus on some of these family members! This was a quick but it absolutely felt like a complete story with character depth.
It's Me Again, Baby: A fun second chance romance. Maguire and Samantha were only together for one week in their early 20s, but sparks fly when they see each other again. I was glad that the original misunderstanding as worked out quickly. They are great characters and they complemented each other well. I liked the little bit of action in the subplot and it kept engaged. As always, I love the town and the O'Connor family. A quick but fun read!
Mistletoe Me, Baby: Another cute story. I'm not always a fan of the fake fiance trope, but this one was handled well. It's hard not to adore Nolan. He and Miranda are a good pair, and I enjoyed watching their romance develop. Miranda's family added another interesting layer to their story, and it definitely had some emotional ups and downs. I really liked this story and thought it was a great end to a fun series!
*I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
The O’Connor Family Series was a first for me by Katie Reus, but will not be my last. Containing 4 novellas all of them cute and charming in their own manner. Ranging from sweet to steamy, and humorous to giving you all the feels, you will not be disappointed.
I'd read a couple of these stories previously, but I absolutely loved re-visiting this family and the little town of Holly! A great set of romantic and sexy novellas that shouldn't be missed!
This collection is just so absolutely feel good that it is made to put a smile on your face.
Each individual title isn't very long but the most important parts of the love story are covered thoroughly without unnecessary padding.
The books are Christmas themed due to the setting of Holly, North Carolina where it's Christmas all year round. I love this idea, as it gives the reader a way to indulge in a seasonal story at any time of the year!
First up is Merry Christmas Baby. Norah thought that there was a possibility of romance with Jackson but his lack of a follow up after their date has left her feeling insecure. Jackson has his work cut out trying to persuade Norah that he really does want to be with her. Great characters and plenty of steam make this the perfect set up for the next story.
Tease Me Baby is scorching hot! The chemistry between Brad, the seemingly straightlaced sheriff and Fallon is off the charts. I enjoyed the humorous interference from the O'Connor brothers, making certain Brad treated Fallon right, sheriff or not, brothers will always try to intimidate a potential love interest.
It's Me Again, Baby is a great second chance romance. I'm glad that the author dealt with the reason for the break down quickly so we got to the recoupling part. Again the couple get hot and heavy in no time, 'fans self' 🔥
Finally it's the turn of Nolan and Miranda in Mistletoe me, Baby. The collection certainly ends on a high note with a fake fiancé/ friends to lovers storyline.
There is real depth of feeling and some issues are dealt with in a sensitive way which I appreciated.
All in all a lovely end to a fab collection.
Hugely enjoyable
I absolutely love Christmas. It’s my favorite season and holiday. This was a bonus read for me since there were four books in one and they all involve love. I fell I love with all these characters and did not want the stories to end. Katie I love your books and these definitely did not disappoint. Thank you so much for sharing. Everyone should read this bundle.
