This was an enjoyable read, although I did have a rough start getting drawn into the story. The writing by this author didn’t draw me in the way some do. However, it’s a light and easy read once you get past that.

2018 is the year of weddings in my eyes at least! Megan and Harry, myself, Maria Mallory and ... ???

Maria is the number one and possibly only wedding planner of the village of Westfield and has been excitedly planning her dream wedding since she was a little girl. When she is shockingly stood up at the altar by the dastardly handsome Darcy Burgess, she makes a number of surprising decisions which will change her life forever...

The Wedding Shop on Wexley Street was a bit like a comic opera, with all the characters heading for a dramatic showdown at one of Maria´s clients weddings. Though at times, I had to suspend disbelief at the reactions of the characters, and how easily they were able to repair fractured relationships, I found the book to be a light and enjoyable read.

This is light hearted, easy going and a perfect summer chick lit read. Maria was going to marry Darcy. But Darcy didn’t show up at the church. Maria’s life takes a different and I imagined route!

I really looked forward to reading this novel, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The cover is so bright and eye-catching! I love the bright pink wall and the windows in the centre showing off the pretty bridal dresses. The flowers around the edge of the cover finish it off perfectly. The blurb also caught my eye, I loved where it was set and I was so eager to find out who and if Maria found her Prince Charming!

This story follows main character Maria, she wonders if she'll ever have a happily ever after of her own, as at the moment all she seems to be doing is making over people's wishes and dreams come true! She believes she finally gets her break when she meets Darcy, but unfortunately her dreams - as well as her heart - was shattered when he left her waiting at the altar!

Maria believes that she'll never find love after all. But that old saying 'love finds you when you're not looking' comes into play...

It was a happy, bubbly and entertaining read which had me feeling a bit emotional in parts. I really felt for Maria and was so glad that she had some great people around her to help pick her back up when she was at her lowest. Great read and a great ending.

After being jilted at the altar, Maria is struggling, given that her job is being a wedding planner.

Entertaining but emotional read.

A sweet romance perfect for a light summer read in the garden or on the beach. The book had me hooked at the beginning and Maria learns that perfect isn't necessarily 'perfect'. She finds love in an imperfect way. Tucker and Cass were fiery characters who leapt off the page. Annabel was a bit too good to be true and this made me give the book four stars as I found her a little bit unbelievable. Wish there were more understanding and kind people like Annabel in the world though but I guess she was a perfect character for a romance. Great book for people who like a tender and sweet romance with a few complications thrown in. Thank you for Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.
