Neil McKenna Farrell's gifts are brought out after meeting Annabeth with finding love amidst intrigue and danger.
Settle in for a good read as part of the McKenna legacy.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Picking up a copy of Cowboy Protector and reading it was a pure joy.
It's a book that I have read before when I was in my late teens and reading it again now was like sitting in a room surrounded by old friends.
I knew the family, knew what was going to happen, but picked up on things that I had forgotten or didn't quite grasp in my first reading of it.
A really good family centric, romantic suspense book that I'd definitely recommend reading.

This is a great little mystery, love story about a cowboy with premonitions only with the girl he’ll supposedly fall in love with......this has a lot of twists in this mystery trying to figure out who’s the bad guy

I love this author so when I saw this book I had to review it! This is the second in the McKenna Legacy I've read but I loved it just the same. You have just as tad of supernatural thrown in with danger and thrilling romance. It was wonderful and I so can't wait to read more of this series!

Neil McKenna is a rancher who discovers that he has the inherited the McKenna Legacy after all when “sees” danger facing Annabeth and he has no choice but to protect her. Annabeth Caldwell is just trying to make ends meet by working at the Chicago rodeo when she becomes entangled in something sinister and falling under Neil’s spell, making her long for family and an everlasting love.

This delightfully sweet and thrilling romance brings readers enjoyment by combining a suspense, cowboys and a touch of the supernatural with romance. Neil and Annabeth are strong characters that captivate readers with their ‘avoid the relationship’ romance that has lots of emotional turbulence and readers can easily relate to and understand where the characters are coming from while they reach for their happily ever after.

The story progresses at a steady to fast pace and keeps readers glued to the pages with the intrigue of not only the romance but with the danger that Annabeth is facing and when the couple work toward keeping Annabeth safe, readers become more entangled with the mystery of who done it as surprising twists keep them guessing.

This is only the second story that I have read in the McKenna Legacy series but so far I am quite intrigued with all the McKenna characters and the fascinating Legacy that has each one finding true love while amongst danger and intrigue, so I will continue to catch up with this series.

I really enjoyed this story filled with twist and turns. This isn't your average cowboy story. Definitely had some unexpected surprises. This was my first book by Patricia Rosemoor, but not my last.

Patricia Rosemoor does romance thrillers well. Cowboy Protector is all of that and more.

I haven't ready the first five books in the McKenna Legacy series. If they are as intriguing as this one, I'd be delighted to do so.

I really enjoyed Annabeth and Neil's story. The two main characters are not only believable also likable, from Annabeth's loss and loneliness and run of bad luck to Neil's cowboy charm, resistance to the "legacy" his grandmother wished on all her grands.

Annabeth is a fighter, and won't quit, even when convention deems it prudent to do so. And, From the moment they get caught up in a robbery, he is swept up into the adventure alongside her. Throw in his mother's gift of premonition, healthy adult attraction and their penchant for landing in dangers and you have a recipe for an intriguing mystery, rodeo, romance and crime story that will keep most guessing to the end.
* Thanks Netgalley, for an ARC that's easy to review and fun to read.

Overall a good story, and the mystery kept my attention - when Neil and Annabeth are thrown together at the rodeo in Chicago (she was working in the calf barn, and he was a roper), sparks fly. A botched bank robbery, and being briefly held as hostages gave them a connection. A few red herrings before the real villain is revealed adds a nice touch. Liked it overall, but the romance part seemed a little off. Didn't really see the true connection for a lifetime commitment, and considering it was barely a week and then the HEA seemed a little fast. Besides that though, I enjoyed the book and the mystery kept my interest through to the end. Would recommend this author and although the rest of the series is not needed to read this one, it would help explain their legacy from the grandmother.
