I have grown to love Cara Hunter as an author and have really enjoyed all of the DI Fawley series so far. I love that No Way Out has similar characters, yet the storyline is so very different from the other books.
A house fire which results in bodies being found and missing people unaccounted for is the next mystery for DI Fawley and his team to solve. We learn the history of the family and the tell tale signs that lead us to the twist in the book at the end.
I found the book really easy to read and it was well written, going backwards and forwards in tine, yet it wasn't confusing at all. I did guess the twist at the end, but it took me a while. Saying that when I thought I knew all the answers, there were more twists that I wouldn't have worked out at all.

As soon as I spotted this on netgalley I knew I had to request it. I wasn’t disappointed. After reading the previous two books from Cara, I knew things wouldn’t be as you thought they would. At first it seemed quite clear cut, but then there’s a lot of twists and turns and I must say it took me by surprise. I kept changing my mind as to what had actually happened.

This case proves difficult for Adam as he struggles both personally and professionally with this complex case, especially as they’re children involved. It flits back and forth from before the fire to after the fire to give the reader an insight of the circumstances.

I wish to thank the author, the publishers and netgalley for the ARC. An excellent read.

No way out by Cara Hunter.
It's one of the most disturbing cases DI Fawley has ever worked.

The Christmas holidays, and two children have just been pulled from the wreckage of their burning home in North Oxford. The toddler is dead, and his brother is soon fighting for his life.

Why were they left in the house alone? Where is their mother, and why is their father not answering his phone?

Then new evidence is discovered, and DI Fawley's worst nightmare comes true.

Because this fire wasn't an accident.

It was murder.

Omg this was an absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. I love Cara Hunter 's books . This is the 3rd one I have read.  I had a couple of suspects. And what a shock. I definitely didn't see that coming.  Loved Adam's character.  He was determined to find his suspect and close the case. I was surprised at who looked at the computer.  And who Harry was. 5*. Can't wait to read more from Cara Hunter.
