A great little book for those wanting to learn more about Scottish whisky. Containing a brief history of the distilleries, the location as well as the taste and textures of the whiskies they produce.
This will act like a perfect little companion piece for drinkers as whisky is to be tasted as well as enjoyed and not just read about.
Whisky is more than a drink: it's a culture, a binder that joins together people, places and products far across Scotland's rugged terrain. From the largest and most famous distilleries to the smallest, most obscure operations. whisky has a long and rich heritage and this book is an excellent introduction to the world of Scotch whiskies.
This is a great overview of different Scottish whiskies, the islands and the different types of whiskies you can get from each island. I think this book is useful for those just starting out with Scottish whiskies and want to have a brief guide. Nice use of images.
Being a new convert to Scottish Whiskey, I really enjoyed this simple book describing the different areas, styles and distilleries. I image it’s very basic information but for someone like me, I think it’s a great reference starting point when I walk into the local bottle shop for something different to try
