Another great story in the epic sequence of books by Wendy Alec that is a retelling of the bible story of the fall of Lucifer and the battle between good and evil. This book is set around modern day (slightly in the future) and continues the story of the battle toward Armageddon. I would highly recommend reading the whole series first to set the scene. I had thought that this was the last book but it wasn't so I eagerly await the next one.....

Thankyou to NetGalley, HarperCollins Publishers, Harper Impulse, and the author, Wendy Alec, for the opportunity to read an advanced readers copy of End Of Days in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I was so excited when I received my copy of this book. There was something in the description of the storyline and the cover that really appealed to me. Now, what did I think about this book.....
I started reading this book over breakfast with the intention of only reading a few pages, then getting on with housework and the demands of everyday life. Unfortunately, the housework never got done. Lol. I started reading this novel and lost a few hours of time. I was incredibly absorbed with everything in this book. The storyline, the characters and the atmosphere was well thought out and written.
I have to admit, this is the first novel by Ms Alec I have read. When I realised that it was a part of a series, I was worried that I would not be able to follow the plot without the whole backstory as well. My worries were not justified. I was able to pick up enough information on the backstory while reading which was really good. I have already purchased digital copies of the other books in the series.
Thankyou Ms Alec for writing such an evocative story. I absolutely loved it. I would give you more stars if I could as I certainly believe a book of this calibre is deserving.

'End of Days' is the fifth book in the Chronicles of Brothers series, and what a compelling series it is! I was immediately pulled into the story and continued to be engrossed for the duration. This is just as fabulous as the previous four books, if not better! The descriptions are vivid and each of the places the brothers happen to visit are wonderfully evocative. I would advise that you read the preceding books first as much of this story won't make sense unless you have read them, and in my opinion it does not work as a standalone. Another successful read from Ms Alec. Enjoyable and entertaining with a focus on the history of humanity and what it takes to be accurately labelled as evil.

Many thanks to Harper Inspire for an ARC. I was not required to post a review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
