I received a sampler of The Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley, Simon & Schuster and Cassandra Clare.
This was a short sampler chapter and as such will remain a short review. All I will say is that I am EVEN MORE excited about this book than I already was, which is hard going as I've been dying for this book for Nearly 2 years.
Things are definitely heating up in this one, even in just one chapter a lot was revealed about where the plot will go this time. I'm definitely hoping to see more from the Fae, as well as seeing how the Blackthorn's will all deal with the different issues they have going on. The subjects Cassandra Clare touched on in the previous books in this series as well as in this sampler are paving the way for exciting things to come in the Shadowhunter world. I've a feeling this one is going to be a bit darker than what we've seen before, and I CANNOT wait!

It is no secret that The Dark Artifices has become my favorite fantasy trilogy of all time - yes, the third installment is still months away but I've never been more certain that Cassandra Clare will leave us heartbroken, intrigued, devastated, elevated and hopefully happy at the end of Queen of Air and Darkness.
After the cliffhanger of Lord of Shadows, this first chapter has made me even more anxious to find out how it will all end.

Without any spoilers, the first chapter has everything one could ask from a Cassandra Clare book, rapid development and the cast of characters many have come to love. I cannot wait for December!!

Oh my goodness that was a teaser!! I knew it was just a sampler but I wasn't ready for it to end. After the emotional cliff hanger that the previous book ended on I have been dying for this one.

Cassandra Clare hasn't disappointed once again and I am even more anxious to get the next book. December feels so far away.... I do love this series and I am looking forward to seeing how it all happens next. Bring it on!!

Thank you Simon and Schuster for wetting my appetite that bit more!!

For a first chapter, it does have a rapid rhythm; the last instalment of The Dark Artifices trilogy is one of my most anticipated new release, and it's such a pleasure to dive back into the Shadowhunter's universe, even for a few pages.
Since Book II finished on a big cliffhanger (and with my heart broken), this first chapter deals a lot about the next characters' goals and paths. We get to see Ty, Kit, Julian, Emma and Kieran where we left them and we know where the story is going to be led; and it is going to be a fantastic book once more.
