Phoebe. Tiffany. Melissa. They all made one little mistake... When twenty-five-year-old Phoebe Stiles opens the door to her perfect apartment she doesn’t realise it’s the mistake that will kill her… The body of the beautiful English girl is discovered months later - dumped behind the back of a department store. But who was the stranger she let into the safety of her home?

An intriguing plot, even if the main character’s impulsivity can be infuriating!
It felt a little slow-paced and long-winded at times, but it didn’t stop me persevering.
Great author, but this book wasn’t my favourite.

Detective Rachel Prince must find the villain who is killing beautiful blond women, She's a dynamic protagonist who has a nose for clues. I missed the earlier books in the series but this was fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Although I started of enjoying this book, the story became hard to follow and became uninteresting. Overall a good read to pass the time, but not to my taste.

I have enjoyed the books in the Detective Rachel Price series. The books are full of action and an edge-of-your-seat adventure. You are drawn into the story from the beginning and anxiously wait for Prince to solve the case. While some of the police procedures are unbelievable, Rachel Prince's dedication and determination are admirable. It confirms that there are law enforcement officers who truly care that justice is served.

Relationships are developed, while others start showing some difficulties. Though does that mean that Mark and Rachel's working relationship may grow into something else? We shall see.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoutre for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own. I am looking forward to the next adventure with Detective Prince!

I have read all three of the Detective Rachel Prince series and have really enjoyed every one, very good plots which make enjoyable compulsive reading, Rachel Prince is a believable character with human flaws, Perfect Girls being set in America made a welcome variation to the series. I’m looking forward to number four.

This is the third book in the DI Rachel Prince series, and it's such a fun, twisty read! I definitely recommend it to suspense lovers!

This is the third book in the series, and they just keep on getting better! The book was well written, thrilling and I enjoyed it until the very last minute.

Somebody is killing off all the perfect blondes!!! Rachel Prince isn't your normal detective. This is the 3rd book in the series. It is a very fast paced, with a lot of action, this book is a very addictive read. Rachel is very likable, I wish this book told us more about the life she had with Mark.
The victims were very self- absorbed and entitled. Rachel is a very good detective, beating all other law enforcement to the job and solving cases.
She is determined to find the killer and stop the murders, despite all the obstacles thrown in her way, she beats all the odds and solves the cases by herself..

Thank you Netgalley for a chance to read this book!!

Perfect Girls is the third novel in the Detective Rachel Prince series (however I had not read the first two before starting this one, and it didn't matter at all - it works perfectly well as a standalone).

Detective Prince is assigned to a murder case, in which the body of a young woman is found dumped behind a department store. Soon she's on the hunt for a killer - and has to stop them before they come for her too.

This is a gripping, fast-paced crime thriller full of twists and turns.

I love Rachel Prince and I love Alison James. These books never fail to deliver what they promise. A twisty thriller, which kept me up and reading into the wee, small hours of the morning. The plot was tight and carefully thought out. Rachel's tenacious character was endearing and captivating. The action moves along at a brisk place and before you know it, you've reached the end. A well planned and cleverly executed story that will keep you engrossed from the first word until the last. Highly recommended.

In part 3 of the Rachel Prince series we find Rachel relocated stateside to assist in the investigation of the murder of a c list British actress who had been trying her luck in L.A. At first it all seems pretty straightforward, at least to the local police but Rachel can't shake the feeling that there are too many unanswered questions and loose ends. Quickly she realise that someone is targeting a certain type of girl - young, beautiful, entitled, blonde, i.e. the epitome of a perfect girl.

So first off can someone explain how I missed part 2?? Gutted. Secondly this made up for the disappointment! It took me a little while to get my head around the setting but once I shook that off I was hooked. Fast paced and exciting throughout my only criticism is sometimes it became a bit unbelievable. But if you can suspend your disbelief then this is a highly enjoyable thriller.

Loved this book! Raced through it and couldn't wait to see how it ended. A pretty unique (and very creepy!) plot that linked the victims together and as always, I enjoyed Rachel/DI Prince's involvement in the case. Another great installment in the series and I'm so looking forward to the next one. Alison James has totally nailed this series, with lots of twists and turns, great suspense and a likeable DI to hold all of the cases together.

After reading the other two books in the series I had promised to get to this one. Never did, but now that life has calmed down I’m able to read some past books on my TBR list. This is one of them.

Thoroughly enjoyed book 1 and 2. This one was also enjoyable and fast off the mark, kept a steady pace throughout.

Loved the use of Ann App in this that involved the plot being quite interesting and up to date.

Blondes going missing.

I’ll not say much about the plot or story in fear of spoilers so I’ll just say, it was fab to meet up with Rachel again and renew each other’s company, I feel I know her quite well now.

She’s off Los Angeles in this book to investigate a British citizens death. It looks like the boyfriend did it. But did he? Was it too obvious?

Great series.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Alison James for an ebook copy to review. As always, an honest review from me.

Perfect Girls is a perfectly addictive novel. A psychological thriller that uses all of the modern day technology and social media advances to truly scare you. The author didn’t resort of cliches to make the book work. Definitely a unique and chilling novel. Perfect for a creepy Halloween read!

The detective from England ends up going to Hollywood to investigate the death of a young woman, who previously lived in her country. The local police wrap up the case quickly, but Detective Prince has some lingering doubts. Following her hunches, she crosses the country to investigate until she can figure out the truth.

The book pulled me right in and captivated me throughout the whole read. I thought the premise and little details made for a unique, complex and intriguing story. The author was great at making me feel as if I was right there, especially with her descriptions of scent. Such little details, but they make the book that much better.

The mystery was great. However the romance, which didn’t play much of a role, was kind of annoying. I could have done without it completely. Since it wasn’t featured much, it didn’t really bother me though.

Overall, a phenomenal mystery that uses technology and social media to keep you guessing until the very end.

You know it’s a great book when you’re screaming at the main character in your head “to get the hell out of there”. Brilliant original plot with lots of intrigue. A great series

"Perfect Girls" eBook was published in 2018 and was written by Alison James. This is the third novel by Ms. James and the third in her "Detective Rachel Prince" series.

I categorize this novel as ‘R’ because it contains scenes of Violence. The story is set in the modern day US. The primary character is Detective Rachel Prince.

Prince is a Detective in the British National Crime Agency. A request comes through for assistance from the US. The body of a beautiful twenty-five-year-old English girl has been found dumped behind a department store in Hollywood, California. Prince is assigned to the case and flies to the US.

Police think they have found the murderer, but Prince is not convinced. In fact, the more she investigates the death, she believed it may the work of a serial killer. She is called back home though before she can convince authorities. Consumed by the case, she returns to the US on her own to try and solve the murders. Her investigation has not gone unnoticed by the killer and Prince soon finds herself under their power.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 7 hours I spent reading this 339-page mystery. This is the second novel in this series I have read and I have enjoyed them both. This one is a little different as most of it takes place in the US. I like the character of Prince in the novels. I also enjoyed the plot twist the author has at the end of the book. While this is the third novel in a series, it reads well on its own. The cover art is OK. I give this novel a 4.5 (rounded up to a 5) out of 5.

Perfect Girls had all the elements I look for in a perfect psychological thriller.

-A killer with a good reason (a valid reason that makes sense) to be a psychopathic murderer.

-A detective (DI Rachel Prince) who was obsessed with solving the case and couldn't let it go despite the obstacles.

-The detective's near-death experience. (I LIVE for those in Psychological thriller!)

-The fact that the killer is, in fact, a serial killer.

All these attributes, along with the awesome narration, with chapters by the killer themself, Perfect Girls was a chilling page-turner.

The characters, and not just the protagonists, were all well crafted, with their own stories and conflicts. I loved how they each had a unique role in the case and also how different they were from each other, particularly the three guys who helped DI Prince solve the case.

All in all, I absolutely loved Perfect Girls, and I definitely recommend you to check it out!
