If you had a chance to do over? Could you? Would you? A beautifully written book of happily ever after and what it truly means. A love story within a love story!

Kyle and Ophelia were in love with big dreams which they chased all the way to fame and fortune in Hollywood. While Kyle reveled in his fame with all its bells and whistles Ophelia felt abandoned and eventually returned home sadder and wiser and happier to be in her corner of the world. Until Kyle knocks on her door...…
As Kyle battles with writer's block and his love for Ophelia that has never died he gets a chance to re-write their love story with deeper insights into the hearts of both him and Ophelia. He once sacrificed their love on the altar of fame and fortune, given this second chance will things unfold differently?
This is a masterfully told story through unforgettable characters with an emotional depth that raises it above the ordinary. An absolute winner!

4.5 I Choose You Stars!
Ophelia Bishop lives in the small town of Gardiner in upstate New York where she runs the family bed-and-breakfast, Robin's Nest B&B. She stays very busy with the life she's carved out for herself. Everything is great until the man who broke her heart years ago returns to wreak havoc on her life. Ophelia hasn't seen Kyle Kimpton in almost a decade. She hoped she'd never see him again, but here he is in her town. Kyle was her childhood best friend, and her first love. They'd run off to LA together to follow their dreams, and then Ophelia realized they wanted different things and returned home. She felt he'd chosen his career over her. She no longer fit in the new life they'd created for themselves.

Kyle had found fame as a screenwriter in Hollywood, but the price he'd paid had been too high. He'd lost the only woman he'd ever loved. He finally had it all, but realized nothing mattered without her. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't forget her. He remembered a time when they were each other's safe place. She was his own personal sanctuary. He swore he'd never return home, but it's time to reclaim what he'd lost, and fight for a second chance. He was determined to make things right with Ophelia, and prove she could trust him again.

Kyle wants to face their past, and figure out where things went wrong, but Ophelia was still angry and hurt. He clearly had his work cut out for him in earning her forgiveness, but he had to at least try. He believed their story wasn't finished, and wanted a future with her.

Ophelia had never gotten over Kyle or been able to fully move on. She'd tried to forget what they had, but nobody had ever loved her as passionately and completely as Kyle. He'd once been her everything, but now he was a stranger. She had to keep her distance in order to protect her heart, but Kyle was persistent. He made her feel vulnerable, and the raw chemistry between them came to life whenever they were close. She soon realized she still ached for his touch as they give in to explosive desire. Being in his arms was like going home again, but how could she jump into the unknown and let herself fall again if he would be leaving soon?

I loved this book so much! It's a best friend's little sister romance about broken promises, regrets, forgiveness, soul mates, and second chances. The message I took away was we can't change our past, but we can always change our own ending. It's never too late to follow your heart, and grab hold of your own HEA! This story centered around the most beautiful love, but also had the most delicious seduction. This man adored his lady, and didn't see anyone but her. She was it for him, and was his whole heart!

I did expect a great offering by Jennifer Probst and A Brand New Ending brings it. It is a touching, endearing and heartrending novel of Kyle and Ophelia and of the struggles Kyle makes to bring them back together after ten years apart. It is about teens with ideals and dreams. He succeeds. She runs away from him and his lack of understanding her.
Ten years later, Kyle returns to her to try and rekindle what once was a flaming love. She is adamant: no rekindle, thus no flame. But, the embers are still too hot to self-extinguish. Kyle, however, needs to truly understand why Ophelia left him if he wants to recapture and hold onto what they could have again.
Plus, Kyle needs to resolve the bitter memories of growing up with a belligerent, cruel and loveless father is Kyle is really to progress and thrive. Although he forgives Ophelia for leaving him, he finds she is not the one who needs forgiveness. It is he who needs her to forgive him.

What a sweet, and emotional second chance romance. Ophelia and Kyle ran away to chase their dreams in Hollywood. But Ophelia comes home alone, brokenhearted and changed. She is no longer plucky and adventurous, but calm, with a graceful restraint and confidence. She found her place running her families B&B. When Kyle returns to stay at the B&B, Ophelia turns him away. But he has always been able to charm his way into her heart and this time is no different. He wants to write their story and convince her they are soul mates and to give him a second chance. Ophelia can't deny her feelings for Kyle. He still holds the key to her heart and is even more sexy as the man he has become. Even when he causes her light to shine brightly again, she's afraid her heart won't survive when he leaves for Hollywood again. I really enjoyed the growth between Ophelia and Kyle the second time around. I loved reading what happened between them years earlier through Kyles writings and how it helped him see things from another perspective. I also loved the story arc of the relationship between Kyle and his father.
This is a fun, engaging, emotional family saga, and steamy romance with so much heart! I am enjoying this series and hope to read more about this family!

Heartwarming second chance romance filled with young love, betrayal, heartbreak and redemption.... not to mention sweetly thrilling passion. Highly entertaining journey.

Ophelia Bishop and Kyle Kimpton are childhood sweethearts that ran away to California together to chase their dreams. Life happened (as it often does) and dreams changed, now years later they are getting another chance at happily ever after. Really enjoyed this sweet romance.

So the challenge right off the bat for me was to embrace and actually care for Kyle, the hero. Here was a soft spoken, sexy, supposedly remorseful, famous, screenwriter guy, who was so self-absorbed/clueless, he still had no idea years later why his lady love left him high and dry in Hollywood to head back to their small hometown.

Not surprisingly, we find out Ophelia felt Kyle cared about himself more than her so decided to completely wipe him from her memory banks. Folks, I’m also not overly fond of a doormat heroine who slinks off and doesn’t leave behind a huge piece of her mind to set things straight before grabbing her suitcase and slamming the door behind her.

Another challenge for me was to understand “why” in general? Why did it take Kyle so long to supposedly finally come to his senses? His need to profit/benefit from their past history seemed selfish and self-serving, despite the fact he also wanted her back. Why did Ophelia not set him straight when she first left him? Why did they stay apart for so many years? Why and how could they possibly have kept their relationship secret when they had the same family/friends back home?

So I’m left feeling this storyline needed a brand new beginning, my fellow romance book loving friends. On top of all this was the fact by 67% into it, I realized nothing significant had actually happened. Boredom had slowly but surely set in to the point I no longer cared how it all wrapped up. Not even the flashbacks particularly grabbed my attention or interest.

I also found it very disheartening neither were celibate during their very long separation. Also, how could they not have suspected something was amiss when a certain something didn’t show up in the mail?

My “why” conundrum became a “whatever” one. Though I normally really do enjoy this author, this book just wasn’t as good as I had hoped. Here’s to hoping others really enjoy it. I found the writing and plot to be mediocre.

After meeting Ophelia in book 1, I was really looking forward to her story. I am such a sucker for a second chance romance and Ophelia and Kyle's story reeled me in from the get-go to the very last page. I simply loved it! Giving up love and what could have been is just heartbreaking. Getting the chance to see what is now, and what will be if you open yourself up to a new ending to your story is just priceless. I went through so many emotions reading their story, but ultimately landed at pure satisfaction and contentment. Another fantastic book in the Stay series!! I look forward to more!

A Brand New Ending had me hooked from the very beginning. I expect that from any Jennifer Probst story, but this one grabbed my emotions and attention very quickly. Add to that a second chance at rediscovering love, a family that I'm already invested in and some pretty cute animals to love and I was one happy reader with this second story in the Stay series.

I believe there are details about Ophelia and Kyle's relationship, what tore them apart and why that you really need to discover firsthand. For to mention those things now would change how you go into this story. So, my focus is on my reactions to what they're going through in order to finally move forward... one way or the other, with their lives now.

While both Kyle and Ophelia had dreams that drove them to Hollywood, only Kyle remained. Ophelia returned home to run the family Bed & Breakfast Inn and start another chapter of her life... without Kyle in it. The last thing she expected or wanted was for Kyle to show up wanting a room at the inn, and another chance to repair the damage done in the past. I was actually thrilled to see Ophelia's reaction, to see her stand her ground was exactly what my first instinct would have been. (Well, after a lot of really bad words would have run through my mind.) I "got" that Kyle was searching for his muse, that he acknowledged the wrongs done, as well as his determination to win back the love of his life... but man, did I ever want to see him grovel and beg. Yeah, I sure did. There were moments, quite bluntly, that I had a difficult time really liking Kyle for my impression of him was based on Ophelia's reaction to his crashing back into her life. Yet, using Kyle's writings as a bit of a flashback to what happened between them (the amazing and the heartbreaking) really brought Kyle from that barely tolerating him because he's her choice to a man that I would want in my life... as he is today.

I loved catching up with Ethan and Mia again through the glimpses we get in A Brand New Ending. Baby sister Harper's story is one that I'm looking forward to as I really want to discover what makes her tick. I truly enjoyed my time back in this world. Ophelia and Kyle's romance is full of pain and hope - and really, isn't that what all relationships come down to in the end. We hurt each other, sometimes without knowing we're doing so, the love shows when we can go past what hurt to the promise of tomorrow, together. I loved the secondary characters, well, with one notable exception but I believe I'm supposed to feel that way so I deal with them. Totally fell in love with every animal I've met in this series, and hope to meet some more in the next story as well.

In all, I'd not hesitate to recommend this story or the series to any Romance reader who loves a good romance, believes in second chances and longs for that happy ending. You'll find all that and more in A Brand New Ending.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

A Brand New Ending is a sweet and sexy, second chance romance. Ophelia is a determined and hardworking B&B owner, Kyle is a somewhat self- absorbed screenwriter that decides his next big story requires going home after 10+ years in Hollywood.

This story is steamy, funny, and has low angst. I love the setting at the B&B- the author puts you in the scene beautifully. I love how family is so centric to the plot, and it's fun to get glimpses of characters in previous stories, and hopefully characters for future stories.

A Brand New Ending can be read as a standalone, but I have enjoyed and would recommend both in this series.

Chick Flick written.as a book at its BEST !!
The descriptive qualities that Jennifer Probst masterfully displays so well every single time pulls on your heart heart strings, makes.you laugh out loud with some open mouthed astonishing moments.
A story of young love and following dreams.
Kyle and Ophelia runaway to fulfill their dreams. Choices are made while love gets " tangled and lost along the way. "
Beautiful story of second chances, trust, staying true to yourself, and following your heart. Love can be painful leaving one vulnerable but with acceptance and understanding its all WORTH it.
Book 2 in this series though can be read as a STANDALONE.

I haven't read the first book in this series but I felt this one stood alone well and I had no problem diving into the story. This is my first Jennifer Probst book and I love the second chance romance genre but I have mixed feelings about this one.

I really enjoyed Ophelia's character. She's a lot of fun, has a big heart and her family made me laugh. I loved how true to herself she was and was willing to stand up for herself rather than mold herself to fit others' expectations. You could feel the love and care she pours into her B&B and understand why her customers love her.

However, what I didn't like about the story was the hero, Kyle. As the story unfolds we see that he was self-centered and selfish when he and Ophelia first go out to Hollywood together and you know this story is supposed to be about him growing up and having learned from his mistakes. However, for a good deal of the story I feel like he's trying to worm his way back into Ophelia's good graces without having ever changed. Yes, he plays the lip service to how he's changed and realized what he's lost but really he's so self-confident in his own charms that he pretty much bullies his way back into Ophelia's life. We eventually see a change for the better in his character but by that point, I really had come to dislike him and felt like the turnaround was too pat. He was probably my least favorite character in the book. It does sadden me to feel that way about him because I did love Ophelia and wanted to see her get her happily ever after. That said I enjoyed pretty much every other character and I even came to love Kyle's dad and all his shenanigans he pulls with the stray dog Ophelia badgers him into caring for.

Overall this was a cute read, I just wish there had been more to Kyle's character growth throughout the story rather than saving it all until the very end.

I was curious to see Ophelia's story and it didn't disappoint. Her and Kyle's story was not just a second chance romance it deals serious stuff too. It had themes of forgiveness and addiction but balanced out with romance and steam. Kyle and Ophelia went to California when they were young. One successfully got his fame and the other disillusioned. That caused a rift in their relationship, after years Kyle's back in their hometown to write a screenplay and has to stay at B and B.

He wants a second chance to right the wrongs and get their relationship back they are after all married still. That time together opens up cans of worms but also makes them relive good moments. It was hard for Kyle to juggle his career and love life before and it turned to resentment. Ophelia had valid reasons for leaving and I liked she fought for herself. I'm happy how they resolved their problems communicating at least. Also making ammends with his estranged dad, the rift his alcoholism affected their lives. It was all gradual and 2ell paced making more meaningful.

All the characters from before are still very involved in this story which made it better. Hei hei is so much of a blast. The tender moments of Kyle and Ophelia made me root for them. Kyle and his dad was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm vastly curious about Harper, I love her love of animals and rescue. Excited to read her book next.

Ophelia and Kyle thought they had it all figured out when they were 18. They were in love and nothing was going to stand in their way of their dreams. When they get to California it wasn't everything they planned. They had it all until they had nothing.

Watching these two fall in love warmed my heart and then watching it fall apart through both of their eyes was heartbreaking. When she goes home, she learns that she loves to run the inn. She likes meeting the people and making their stays memorable. So much so, that she becomes friends with several of them but there's still a gaping hole in her heart.

When Kyle comes back and ends up staying at the inn they can't help but remember how it used to be. He's going to do everything in power to get her to remember how it was and what it could be again. BUT is she going to give him another chance to hurt her? Is she going to be able to open her heart again to him knowing how much it hurts when their relationship ends? Will he be able to prove that he's changed?

This was a great second chance romance that snagged and held my attention right from the start. It pushed so many emotional buttons while at the same time it was fun and hope filled. I was cheering for Kyle and Ophelia to find their way all the way through. As you would expect from this author the writing and character development are superb and the story flows nice. Definitely one for the must read list. I highly recommend it.

A Brand New Ending is the second book in the Stay series by the talented Jennifer Probst. I’m loving this new series and these characters. This is a second chance romance, one of my favorites! We already met Ophelia and I knew her story was heartbreaking. She and Kyle fell in love as teenagers. That all-encompassing love that's meant to last forever. They decided to leave town and head to Hollywood to fulfil their dreams. Kyle a screenwriter and Ophelia a singer. Kyle's dreams came true and their relationship and love got lost in the shuffle. She went home and took over the family Inn and that was that. Until Kyle needed to return home to write. He had to be there to do what needed to be done. He never forgot Ophelia and he wanted her back. Ophelia isn't going to let him get to her again. She had a life she loves and he's a pain in her arse! But he's still so handsome and she can't help remember all the love, laughter and sparks they felt. Can Kyle get Ophelia to fall in love with him again? What happens when his job gets in the way? I loved this story! Ophelia is strong, funny and determined. Kyle isn't going to give him. He wants a second chance. Overall, I swooned, laughed, teared up, got hot and bothered and enjoyed every word. I loved seeing Ethan, Mia and Harper again! I can't wait for more of the series.

He knew if he reached out to touch her, she wouldn’t be able to fight her reaction. Their bodies still belonged to each other, no matter how many years had passed.
