Due to a passing in the family a few years ago and my subsequent health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for years after the bereavement. Thank you for the opportunity.

I was a bit slow off the mark downloading this, and it was archived before I got the chance, so I bought a copy to review.

I bought the board book version, and it's gorgeous. Lovely illustrations, and beautifully written. The kind of book you would give a youngster as a gift, and they might treasure for years. I was delighted to find there's a whole series of these books, and I'm seriously considering collecting them for any future grandchildren I might be lucky enough to have.

Thank you for approving my request, and apologies for not taking you up on the offer to read it.

(General series review) These are fabulous stories about great women and men in history (for the most part). The illustrations are so amazing, both for kids and adults. There is a brief history on the person that explains how this person contributed to history and matters

***I received an eARC from NETGALLEY***

I love everything about the Little People, BIG DREAMS series, and this latest wonderful bio for children is no exception. The illustrations are gorgeous and the woman who became the world's best known expert on chimpanzees comes alive on these pages. 5 of 5 Stars!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. Opinions are mine. Pub Date 02 Oct 2018. #JaneGoodall #NetGalley

Again I say, I LOVE this series of books. Love, love, love! It should go without saying that I am especially besotted with the editions about women I have a great deal of respect for, and Jane Goodall is certainly one of those.

Through this wonderfully illustrated picture book, we learn about how Jane Goodall came to be the world's most famous conservationist. From a small child, given a chimpanzee stuffed animal as a one-year-old, she seemed destined to a future involving animals. Gifted with a strong and consistent focus, her parents encouraged her to pursue her dreams, and despite not being able to pursue college, she found another way to achieve her dreams of working with animals, and after years working with chimpanzees in the wild, she was eventually able to complete her Ph.d. in Animal Studies at Cambridge University.

What a wonderful story! It exemplifies what is possible if we are flexible in the pursuit of our dreams (there is always more than one way!). It exposes young minds to the magic of nature and to the importance of animal study and conservation. And once again, the series introduces the profile of a strong, smart, independent woman who carved out the life she wanted.

Another in this fantastic series teaching both kids and adults alike about the many amazing women out there, and that you should always be willing to chase your dreams.

Goodall is a figure I knew of, but didn't really know about. Not only is her life story compelling, there's a strong message for young readers about determination, putting your natural interests to work.

This series is by far one of my favorite non-fiction series to have in a classroom or to share at home. Introducing children to all of these amazing women in a simple and engaging text is perfect. The story of Jane Good all helps children learn about her mind, goals and desires. I will definitely be adding to my classroom.

This is another brilliant addition to this series – even as an adult I look out for the next book in the series being released. I love the images in this series and this is a delightful introduction to Jane Goodall, a lady who fascinated me as a child!

They are excellent introductions to some of the well-known, and less well-known, characters that have had a great impact in our lives through a variety of subjects such as literature, women’s rights and science. Jane is an inspiration to me and her story should be shared with children to show what she managed to achieve in what was predominately a male field at that time.

5 stars from me for this one – a delightful read and one I will be highly recommending!!

Jane Goodall by Isabel Sanchez Vegara is part of the Little People, Big Dreams series for young readers. It offers a very brief version of Goodall's journey thus far- how she became interested in animals at a young age, especially monkeys, how she met Leakey and ended up studying they chimpanzees of Gombe for many decades, and how she now works tirelessly towards educating people on wildlife conservation. At the back of the book is a section with photographs, and a more in-depth life history. Perfect for young readers interested in history and nature.

***Many thanks to the Netgalley and Quarto Publishing for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

My love of Jane Goodall started when I was very young. If I had a daughter I would not hesitate to purchase this cute little book and introduce her to my hero, Dr. Goodall.

Before reading this book, I’d heard the name Jane Goodall but knew nothing about who she was or why she was a significant figure.

This book taught me most of what I needed to know, and pointed me to where I might find out more if I desired. The colourful, simple pictures illustrated the story of Jane’s life beautifully and made it very child friendly, As with other books in the series, this was followed by a more adult friendly biography over a double page spread.

This would be a great book for our Year 6 classes to use as part of their animal detectives topic and a great starting point to learn about a woman who learned so much about a close relative of humans.

Very cute book, perfect to give children a bit of an overview about an important person to give them a quick overview of a life and achievements without going overboard with details that children might find boring.
I think it would be a perfect book for any child showing interest in working with animals or knowing what women can achieve!

I am so glad this book series exists. The illustrations are gorgeous and they are such an easy and fun way to get very young children interested in history early on while inspiring them with stories of little people who have changed the world in their own ways.

'Jane Goodall' by Ma Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Beatrice Cerocchi is part of the Little People, Big Dreams series. This series continues to be such a great series of inspiring books for young readers.

When Jane Goodall was little, her father gave her a stuffed chimpanzee, which she named Jubilee. Sometimes a simple thing like a favorite toy can impact a life. Maybe this on did as well. Jane's love of animals caused her to save up for a trip to Africa. She got jobs that eventually led in to what she is most famous for.

One of the things I love about this series, besides the amazing, inspiring stories, is that every volume features a different artist. This time around Beatrice Cerocchi is featured, and her colorful, full-page illustrations are colorful and fun.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Quarto Publishing Group-Frances Lincoln Childrens, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.
