I LOVED this book. In fact, I have loved everything I have read by Erica Ridley. The characters are relatable and human, the plot lines are interesting and attention-holding, and the book is so well written.

A marvelous story by Ms. Ridley. I loved Bryony and Maxwell's story. Both are strong-willed but once they meet, sparks ignite. Solid romance. Loved it.

Just as class distinctions are eliminated in the gaming hell known as The Cloven Hoof, so are the social barriers between Bryony and the kindred spirit she discovers in its proprietor.

How this comes to pass in the face of Lady Grenville's implacable matchmaking, when Bryony herself seems to struggle at 'feminine' virtues such as needlework, flirtation, and side-curls, is truly a wonder for the ages.

The miracle rests upon being her true great-hearted, musical, mathematical and entrepreneurial self with a man who truly loves the colour she infuses into his life.

Her sister is lucky that she is so generous.

My goodness she's smart.

Really, Bryony's mom? Curly hair makes you look more feminine?

Talk of money is getting her hot!

The banter is so funny. I can't tell if she is purposely confusing him.

Oh, this shopkeeper is good.

Less chatting about going to the cardroom, more doing it.

It's nice that he cares about his employees.

I kind of want that sampler.

They do know she is still in the room, right?

She isn't as selfless as you think, Max.

Silly twits.

I love his sister.

What a fun game!

Oh honey, if her family want you there, you should go.

Witch.

Omigawd!

You are such an idiot, man.

Aww. Someone knows how to deliver an apology!

I would run to the Crooked Halo.

Lord of Vice by by Erica Ridley combines laughter and tears to create a fun but thought provoking read. A strong female lead that learns she doesn't always have to be the strong one. And a man who has lost his way and his laughter can learn that loving and laughing does not mean weakness.

I loved this book. The heroine was probably too gutsy for the time but it was written well and so was believable. The hero was a delightful surprise. My fav thing was the interactions of the two. They had strong family bonds, deep sense of honor and helped others as they could. You really could see them together. So when they sparred it was hilarious. The final conflict may have been forgiven a bit too quickly but I was ok with that. This stories and the characters stayed with me long after I finished it

When Brianna in her disguise as a man searches her tenants office for clues where he got the money from to offer to buy her building, she gets caught. And despite the difference between the son of a dock worker, now gaming hell owner, and the lady of the ton, they feel drawn to each other and banter through a lot of entertaining obstacles to find to each other.

This was an easy, entertaining read with a strong female, quite enjoyable and I would definitely read other books of the same author.

I received a copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review. #RoguesToRiches #NetGalley
-Out of six books in the series, I rated 4 of them with 5 stars and 2 with 4 stars. This is one of the 5 stars. It's well worth the time and money you will spend on it.
-The mingling of brains, passions - I'm not talking about sex, contradictions, and no light at the end of the tunnel.
-Max and Bryony make the perfect couple. They can't be together because of their background but they want to be together, wearing no mask, not being an idea of how they should represent themselves to the world.
-Like in all the other books, I really, really don't like the Grenville parents.
-Fun read. Their misunderstanding is resolved quickly, then the suspense lasts for a bit. The end.
-Loved it all.

Bryony is my favorite of the Grenville siblings. It's nice to see her intelligence celebrated. I enjoyed the exchanges between Bryony and Gideon, and between Gideon and his sister. Ridley has a deft hand with witty dialogue.

A charming tale of the plight of women born ladies and men not born gentlemen. Trying to decide who society limits the most is played out in this novel. You can catch the characters struggle with choosing between their material goals, the goals society forces upon them or their hearts. A wonderful continuation of Erica Ridley characters.

For “Lord of Vice,” the sixth book of the Rogues to Riches series, author Erica Ridley did a gender swap – the heroine was the aristocrat while the hero was the commoner. They share one thing in common though – both are very good at numbers and both are good in turning profitable investments.

But, a talent in business is not the only thing they share. Maxwell Gideon and Miss Bryony Grenville co-owns the gambling den that gave Maxwell his nickname “Lord of Vice.” Their partnership would end soon, thanks to the sunset clause in their contract.

Bryony could have waited for the deadline and make a ton of money, but she was impatient and also very curious about Max. Like a cat, she gave in to her curiosity. And if Bryony was not careful, she could end up like the old saying – curiosity killed the cat, figuratively speaking of course.

A very easy and enjoyable read, “Lord of Vice” is one of those books that you can make the cool autumn days pleasant and dreamy. A feel-good romance, “Lord of Vice” is Rated T for Teens.

I absolutely loved this book. I had a feeling that Bryony was the owner of the Cloven Hoof just from hints in the previous book. I also felt that Maxwell and Bryony would make a great couple. I did think that the story was a bit slow at time but overall I truly enjoyed it.

As usual, Erica provides us with a well developed, entertaining story that can easily stand alkne and you wouldnt feel "lost" but also is a wonderful addition to her "Lords series". I will not give away the storyline but I will tell you that I ALWAYS look forward to her stories.

Yay! Another one of my favorite series #RoguesToRiches. This time it is about Bryony, the last of the Grenville sisters. She is the smartest one, with a feel for numbers and business opportunities. But as a lady, she is not supposed to wrack her brain over business and money. Fortunately her brother Heath has helped her in setting up a business of her own under a false name. As a business partner of the Cloven Hoof, she makes her own money.
Maxwell Gideon was born on the wrong side of the tracks. Therefore, he is never able to be part of the Ton, no matter how successful he has been in the last few years. He made the Cloven Hoof the renowned game hall as it is today. But in order to expand, he wants to buy out his silent partner. But he refuses his offers time and time again.
Bryony doesn't understand why Max is offering a ridiculous amount of money to buy her out of the partnership. Believing Max isn't sending her all the correct numbers and therefore her legal part of the profit, she decides to investigate the property. But then she is caught red handed by Max, whom she can't tell that she is the rightful owner, can she?
A wonderful story about strong women, with a lot of humor. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I wasn’t sure when I started this book that I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It kept my interest in the characters and the story had depth. I believed the heroine’s story and was well written and understandable. Since I have been reading this genre, I find that the main characters are not really behaving the way reasonable adults would behave. I believe that the hero story was interesting and compelling as well. This was not an epic love story and not intended to be, but for what it was, it was well done. I would read other books by this author and may even read the other books in the series

I have read all except one of this series and have been patiently anticipating Max's story, and for the most part I was quite pleased with it.

Throughout the series he has been portrayed as being quite the menacing character, so it was nice to see his softer side. But I was hoping to see a bit more of the hard edged man the readers have known as well.

Bryony was everything I wanted her to be: smart, funny, independent.

It was nice to see the whole family together as well. A good end to the series.

It was a nice, easy, satisfying read. I'd say its a 3.5

Max owns a gaming hell in London. He has an unnamed investor, who is also his landlord. He wants nothing so much as to pay off the deed owner to be master of everything in his domain. He has worked all of his life for this, and he is so close to accomplishing all his goals.
Lady Bryony Grenville is an unusual young woman. She hasn’t spent her pin money on ribbons and dresses, she has a penchant for numbers , as well as the violin, and with the help of her older brother, began investing at an early age. Her “ investments “ include the deed to a certain gaming hell....
Bryony wants more information about this property she has ownership in, and decides to sneak in, during closed hours, dressed as a boy. This is where her trouble begins. The trouble, is Max and the fact that the two of them are totally inappropriate for each other.
This story is wonderful. The entire series and its characters, the Grenvilles and their loves, are funny, unusual, and entertaining. I highly recommend this to readers of historical romance.
I was hoping that one character might have a story of his own in the future. The Duke of Lambley, is a dark mysterious fellow, who I suspect might have a few tales to tell.

A cute and fun Regency romance that was very enjoyable. Erica Ridley has been on my list of authors to try and I'm so glad that I finally have. The characters were strong, likable and well developed. The story moved along at a good pace and I was hooked till the end. I really liked that the romance and intimacy was not rushed. Also well explored was the difference in their class/station in life and how Gideon has advanced so far beyond it, but is still defined by his birth. Overall, a very good story and I look forward to reading more by this author. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

In this book Miss Bryony Grenville, the youngest and most mathical and financial astute of the Grenville clan, meets her match in Maxwell Gideon, owner of the infamous gambling parlor, The Cloven Hoof. He wants to buy the building where his gambling parlor is located, but is unaware who the owner is, and that they are also his secret partner in the business. His secret partner becomes suspicious when he offers her double what was initially paid and determines to secretly examine the books to ensure all is above board. After being caught sparks begin to fly between this unlikely duo. Perhaps the hoyden has found her match in this untitled but true gentleman?

I have rated this book 4 stars.

I received an ARC from Netgalley for my unbiased opinion.

What a light, fun, romantic story. I started it and couldn't put it down. Bryony and Max were an unlikely couple. But that's what made this story.
Even though Bryony is part of the aristocracy (daughter of a baron), Max is not. He owns a gaming he'll.
They meet by accident. Bryony is a mathematical wizard. Hert brother helps her invest in projects. In checking on her latest investment (Max's club), she and Maxx meet. You can feel the sparks between them. They go back and forth at each other, challenging each other. Yet sharing their common interests.
There are many challenges along the way. Her mother for one. But in the end, her family supports her decision to marry for love.
My only criticism would be, in keeping true to historical romance, Bryony had too much freedom for the times. An unchaperoned lady coming and going at all hours was not acceptable. Yet she seemed to come and go with no one the wiser.
