Well written romance with a good plot. I enjoyed the author's writing and anticipate reading more of her books. Thanks to Netgalley for my ARC. This is my unbiased review.

He finds his arch nemesis Blake has reinvented himself and settled there there is only one thing that J G can do he becomes the town sheriff determined to uncover all of Blake's secrets and then arrest him. There is someone else that may play into his future decisions as well unless he can resist her Marianna is the daughter of the local preacher and is fed up with the entire town feeling sorry for her after she was betrayed by the man she loved, she is determined to leave the town and start her life over. Maybe she could have an affair with the new sheriff before she goes. Now with her determined to have him and him trying to resist will they have any chance and if they do will he move on and break her heart or has he finally found a reason to stay in one place.
Kerrigan's Law by Debra Mullins is a really good read. Mix a slightly sinful preacher's daughter and a bounty hunter turned Wild West sheriff for a really fun story.
Marianne had her heart broken and she was betrayed by the man who was supposed to be her husband. Being a preacher's daughter in a small town, everyone knows about her heartache and feels sorry for her. She is sick of being "poor Marianne," and she is ready for a new life far away from home.
Enter J.G. Kerrigan, the bounty hunter who saves Marianne's life. He is rugged and sexy and may just be what Marianne needs. Not for marriage, but for an affair. Marianne is a woman who knows what she wants.
J.G. never planned on sticking around in a small town or becoming sheriff. Until he realizes his old partner turned nemesis, Blade, is living in the town pretending to be a new man. J.G. decides to become town sheriff, expose Blade, and then move on like he has always done. The problem with that plan has a name - it's Marianne. He wants her, but knows he isn't good enough for her. He is determined to be the better man and not get involved with the beautiful, kind, sweet preacher's daughter.
The pull between J.G. and Marianne is unmistakable. Marianne is determined to leave town, but have a little fun before she goes. J.G. is determined to resist her - who will win in the end? Both Marianne and J.G. are real characters, not cookie cutter, both have experienced traumatic events that have affected their relationship and their future.
A bit of heat in this one too. Nothing too outrageous, but certainly passionate. This book is the third in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Highly recommended!
This is the 3rd book in the Welcome to Burr series, J.G. Kerrigan and Marianne Westerly’s happily ever after love story. This is a standalone western historical romance with lots of heat.
The romance between a bounty hunter and a reverend’s daughter makes an interesting combination. Marianne is a strong woman with scandal in her past; J.G. has some secrets in his past that come back to challenge him. This story has plenty of action, intrigue, romance and sizzle. A great read, I look forward to reading more from this author.
I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
Kerrigan Law was somewhat unexpected. It wasn’t a horrible read, but it didn’t keep my attention either.
I felt like in the middle of the book, it tuned into a completely different storyline with Kerrigan wanting to court Marianne while the first half of the book was just about a physical relationship.
To be quite honest, I personally feel that the story arc of Marianne wanting just physical needs didn’t suit her character at all, and I believe the book would have been better if it had used the second story arc which involved intimacy and relationship based.
