The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan is a sweet, heart-warming story. Twenty five years ago Suzanne and her husband adopted 3 sisters who had lost their parents in an avalanche. An event that still affects everyone involved to this day. For the first time in years all three girls are coming home with their families to spend a traditional Scottish Christmas with their parents but each sister comes with her own set of problems relating to the lose of their birth parents. Although there’s no doubt they love each other there is a distance between them. Will the spirit of Christmas manage to bring them together?
This book is all about the importance of family and the various relationships within it. It’s well written with equal time given to each sister so that no one character monopolises the story. A perfect book for reading, sitting in front of the fire during the upcoming festive season.

An excellent festive read from Sarah Morgan. Welcome to the snowy Highlands of Scotland where Suzanne, Stewart and one of their adopted daughters Posy live. Suzanne cant wait for her two other adoptive daughters to come home for Christmas. Its always a difficult time of year for Suzanne, remembering the tragic accident where the girls parents died, and she was the only one who came back down the mountain. All three sisters bear the emotional scars from their parents death. Hannah keeps her distance from everything. Scared to get hurt. Beth is married to Jason and they have two young daughters. Beth is so overprotective with her girls. Finally we have the youngest sister Posy who stayed in Glensay close to her adoptive parents. She works with her mother in the local cafe, secretly yearning to fly the nest. One by one as they arrive home, with so much in their minds, the sisters have no idea whats going on in each others lives. As the days pass and events unfold, bonds are strengthened. I highly recommend picking up a copy. ARC received from the publishers via net galley.
This is my voluntary review.

I so loved this book. I really related to the relationship of these 3 sisters. I have two sisters and at times it was like reading about my own family. Sarah Morgan has done an excellent job of portraying the connection only siblings really understand.
This is such a lovely read I couldn't read this fast enough but at the same time didn't want it to end. We'll done Sarah. I look forward to reading your next book.

What a heartwarming read. A story of family. Of misunderstandings. Of the damage caused by not talking about the big issues for fear of hurting and being hurt. The McBride sisters had a traumatic early life but seem to have had an idyllic childhood with Suzanne and Stewart in the Scottish Highlands. They are all due home for Christmas which is the only time of year they see each other with Hannah and Beth living in New York. Can this be the year high flying Hannah, stay at home mum Beth and bouncy, active Posy put their differences aside and finally talk about the event that shaped their lives? Each is damaged in her own way - as is Suzanne, the only survivor of the horrific climbing accident 25 years before that shaped all their lives. We see the sister try to make sense of their current lives, and see the extent to which events of the past can still impact years later. It's lovely to see the evolving relationships and we root for Hannah, Beth and Posy as they sort out their priorities and the lives they want. Evocative setting with the snowy Scottish Highlands, but every time anyone took the car out all I could think was - don't drive in that weather! Lovely winter read - snuggle up with a coffee and a blanket!

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan is a 4 star read.
This story was wonderfully written, I loved the characters and how the author made you feel like you knew them all personally. I will be looking for more books from this author.

A cosy Christmas read in perfect surroundings
Three very different sisters are due to meet at home for Christmas. Their mother, Suzanne, works hard preparing the perfect celebration but will it turn out as she hopes? Home is an outdoor adventure centre in the Scottish highlands, the snowy mountain setting a perfect foil for the girls' busy lives. Each appreciate their family but they all have problems to solve, decisions to make. Will they be able to help each other? Will their lives follow them there? Engaging characters and a moving story line make this the perfect holiday read. Enjoy!

The three sisters Posy, Hannah and Beth, with their mother Suzanne are at the heart of this enjoyable story of a far-flung family returning to their home in the Scottish Highlands for Christmas. Their partners also feature, but to a lesser degree. I really enjoyed the story, it was an absorbing read. It highlights the way in which our preconceived ideas about how Christmas should be ‘perfect’ for each and every family member can cause a great deal of stress to those determined to make it so. The misunderstandings about how each of the sisters lead their lives, and the kind of lives they actually lead, causes numerous undercurrents and conflicts within the family at the supposedly idyllic holiday time.
The back story that emergeds of how the family all connect with each other is original and intriguing. The characters are well drawn and likeable to varying degrees. It is well written, and a cosy, feel-good story for cold, dark nights, although I read my copy on a late sunshine holiday, and thoroughly enjoyed it!
I would recommend this book, and thank HarperCollins and Netgalley for my advance copy.

Beautiful book, beautiful characters and a beautiful setting. I laughed and I cried and I got totally caught up in this family's story. I didn't want this book to end. I was totally engrossed from the start. This is a wonderful book to read and read again.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

This not quite the jolly book I expected, with ‘Christmas’ in the title but all ends happily. Suzanne lives in the Scottish Highlands and is, as always, planning the perfect Christmas for daughters Posy, Hannah and Beth. There’s a tragedy in the past which Hannah, in particular, still hasn’t come to terms with. Can she learn to accept the past and to love? How about Beth, with her perfect marriage and children? Will she find a solution to her sudden discontent? I loved the setting of this book and the strong sense of local community. It’s so full of warmth it’s like a cup of hot chocolate. Romance, too!

Family saga which explores the effects of a tragic accident which occurred when the sisters were young. How they each remember and perceive themselves to be, the beliefs they put on each other and their adoptive parents. Made for an interesting read.

Thank you #netgalley for my book it was an amazing read.it was about a woman called Suzanne and her husband Stewart who after an accident end up looking after 3 daughters of her best friend this story is about the family 25 years later and how that accident and what they remember from there childhood has shaped how they behave now years later. You have Beth who is married with 2 girls and a perfect life or so it seems but now wants other things. You have posy who lives with her mum and dad but now wants to leave and do other things. And Hannah who has a very high paid job in new York who never seemed to want a family is all that about to change. I loved this Christmas book so much. Sarah Morgan never let's you down.

Another Engaging Story by Sarah Morgan.
Set in the snowy Scottish Highlands this Christmas story is told from the viewpoint of four women. Due to a tragedy twenty five years ago, Christmas has always been a holiday overshadowed by what happened and the need by their adoptive mother to make things perfect at this time of year often leads to stress and tension. The three sisters have vastly different personalities and have drifted apart emotionally, each think that the other’s have perfect, put-together lives. Crises in Beth and Hannah’s lives bring them home early for Christmas and gradually their insecurities are exposed and they open up to each other and find a way to be close again. The story flows well and the characters are interesting and I felt invested in their lives.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a story about family relationships, at it's core.
There are the three sisters: Hannah, Beth and Posy. The sisters are all so different - one being a high flyer, one a stay at home mum and one that works in the mountains in Scotland.
The girls 'come home' for Christmas, to their adoptive parents home in Scotland, and we hear about how they are all still grieving and trying to move on from the tragic death of their parents years ago, whilst simultaneously dealing with their own individual problems.
We have emotion, surprises, drama, romance - everything that you would expect from a Sarah Morgan book.
Growing up in a large family, with three sisters at the top, I related to this dynamic especially. They are such strong characters, each so very different, but aiming for the same thing - a pursuit of happiness, and closure.
I liked Posy best out of the three sisters, she has the most spirit, and I felt more connected with her. She hasn't got the 'major drama' of an possible unplanned pregnancy, or the 'life changing' decision to make about a husband and children, but she has her own things going on, and I feel she deals with them exceptionally.
As with any book with Christmas in the title, you are going to start feeling happy and festive the more you read it. You will get sucked into the holiday spirit and not want to get out!
Enjoy this book, I did.

There is such depth to this story, I was completely absorbed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rated.
Of late, Sarah Morgan has been known for her series, Snow Crystal, Puffin Island and From Manhattan with Love and I would be fibbing if I said I was a little wary of her standalone books. However, her ability to bring so much depth to a multi-faceted story is second to none.
Not only do we learn about the lives, past, and present of the three sisters but of those around them too. They each have their own demons to slay and find that they are finally able to put them to rest when then lean on and open up to each other.
Hannah’s story is particularly heart-breaking, but readers can probably identify with each of the sisters in some way.
I highly recommend #TheChristmasSisters as a story which adds magic into festive romance.
My thanks to #Netgalley, @SarahMorgan_ and #HarperCollins for the opportunity to review #TheChristmasSisters

Sarah Morgan is one of my favourite authors and she has moved from the lighter chick-lit to more contemporary women's fiction in her last two books, with much more depth to the stories, and in my opinion is just going from strength to strength as this was another wonderful book about family dynamics.
The three sisters are Hannah, Beth and Posy. Hannah is a high-flyer living in Manhattan, very clever, very controlled and seems quite cold, never letting emotions rule her. Beth is a stay at home mum to two young children, also living in Manhattan, who is feeling a bit overwhelmed with motherhood being her whole life. Posy is a mountain guide and lives near her parents in Scotland. All sisters end up in Scotland for Christmas with their parents, Suzanne and Stewart, who are actually their adoptive parents as the sisters parents died in an avalanche when they were young and as Suzanne & Stewart were friends of their parents they took in the girls to raise as their own, moving them from the US to Scotland to be nearer Stewart's family.
There are various dramas going on with the sisters, all initially stemming from losing their parents at such a young age, and they all grew up with various hang-ups, well apart from Posy really, she seemed the most grounded of the lot of them and probably my favourite. But this Christmas things came to a head in a variety of ways and the sisters actually start talking properly to one another again about more emotional subjects that they'd been avoiding for years. Suzanne and Stewart were great parents too, such a stabilising influence, always there when needed.
This was a really engrossing story set around Christmas in the Scottish Highlands. So whilst not a fluffy Christmas story there was plenty of snow and Christmas-feeling throughout, with deeper feelings finally getting sorted out for everyone - with a lovely ending - I do love a happy ending! Loved it!

A really lovely feel good book. I thoroughly enjoyed following the three sisters through their different life stages. It even brought the feel Scottish highlands to the story

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the characters and the storyline and would highly recommend it to others to read.

I have read every book Sarah Morgan has ever written so i was thrilled to get this to read.
Hannah, Beth, and Posy are sisters. They all live in different places and have very different lives. Their parents Suzanne and Stewart adopted them when their biological parents were killed.
All of the girls go home for christmas, their parents live in the rural highlands of Scotland. This is the story of how they all come together, how they have to overcome their own fears, emotions, and secrets to try and survive the holidays.
It was a lovely story, what i really liked about it was that it was real, it was not all fluffy and unicorns and snowflakes, everyone came with very real hurt and depth and sadness and you resonate with it straight away.
Loved it.. Really great read. It takes you on a really great journey of different emotions. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Queen of Romance, Queen of Christmas that is Sarah Morgan and this year’s festive read lives up to that title with a gorgeous new location in the snowy Highlands of Scotland.
The Christmas Sisters is a delightful page turning novel that examines family relationships and their flaws. After a tragic accident on a mountain in the USA where her best friend lost her life, Suzanne McBride makes the brave decision to adopt three young grieving children. The story focus’s 25 years on showing the tragedy still impacts on all their lives especially at Christmastime. Hannah, Posy and Beth are reunited in the family home of Suzanne and her adoring husband, but this year turns out differently. When they get together this year they discover that their personal views of each other are not what they thought and a new closeness and bond is ignited not only amongst them but also with Suzanne. Love interests bring a blast of welcome romance as at times this is quite a serious storyline.
Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC. This is my own opinion of The Christmas Sisters.

I love a book by Sarah Morgan, and a Christmas book to boot - well I'm really excited to read it now. This one, with its incredibly beautiful Christmassy cover, caught my imagination from the start and had me reading on when I really should have been doing something else.
This story is about the McBride sisters, Hannah, Beth and Posy, all affected in different ways by a tragedy that befell them at a young age, robbing them of their parents. They always come together at their adoptive parents' home in the Scottish highlands at Christmas, where mother Suzanne pulls out all the stops to make everything really special for them. With memories of the tragic accident hanging over everybody, but never spoken about, things tend to be tense in the household, but this Christmas turns out to be different from others for the whole family. Each of the girls has something going on in their lives that is reaching crisis point, and Suzanne herself is struggling to cope with all the tasks she must complete before the big day. This would be a good time for the girls to pull together.
Sarah Morgan has done it again - another wonderful, heartwarming Christmas story packed with drama and romance. I loved the totally believable characters and I loved the snowy Scottish setting. The format of the book was great too; it was like reading 4 stories within one cover, as each chapter dealt with one of the women in particular. The only thing I might have liked would have been to hear more from Suzanne's husband, Stewart. I thought he was just lovely - calm, patient and understanding all of the women in his life, ready to stand by them whatever. I would recommend this book as a Christmas read, although you could read it at any time, but you would definitely end up feeling Christmassy at the end anyway.
