Lovely read abour family life and sisters. I love reading Sarah Morgan's books. Nice easy read with a happy ending. Perfect. Thank you Sarah for writing yet another fab story.

Loved the setting. Good strong characters and a Christmassy story line.
Sisters Hannah, Beth and Posy were orphaned when their parents were killed in an avalanche when they were young. Adopted by their mum's best friend Suzanne and her husband Stewart they are taken to the highlands of Scotland to be near Stewart’s family but they are all affected in different ways by the tragedy.
Hannah has a high flying career in New York and doesn’t like going back to Scotland, Beth also lives in New York with her husband and two children and Posy helps to run Suzamnes cafe, climbs mountains and volunteers with mountain rescue in the highlands. They all appear to be living the lives they want.
Suzanne likes to have them all home for Christmas and this year is no different but when Hannah and Beth arrive early, Beth without her husband and children, some long hidden feelings come to to the fore and the sisters realise that their lives may not be as perfect as they appeared.
Can the magic of Christmas help the sisters rediscover their closeness or is it too late.
It made me want to spend a snowy Christmas in the highlands!

I can’t express how much I love this book!
The Christmas sisters by Sarah Morgan is absolutely delightful. Now I’ve finished it I’m bereft it’s over and would love further books featuring Hannah, Beth and Posy.
It’s so well written that you almost feel part of the Mcbride family and I’m sad to leave them.
After an avalanche kills their parents, 3 young girls are raised by their mothers best friend Suzanne and her husband Stewart in a remote apart of Scotland. They love and adore them as if they were their own, but now in adult hood each girl faces demons that relate back to that fateful accident.
Hannah - the eldest sister now lives in New York, she has a fabulous career but is often seen by her colleagues as cold and unfeeling and maybe even a little scary. A woman who doesn’t do emotion and relies on facts and figures to get her through life is unnerved when work college Adam enters her life and falls for her. When Hannah finds out she’s pregnant she flees back home to Scotland ( a place she’s been avoiding) for Christmas to try to figure out what she wants to do.
Beth - the middle sister gave up a successful career to raise her 2 girls. Now they are older and with husband Jason’s career going from strength to strength, Beth feels trapped. She craves adult conversation, is envious of sister Hannah’s lifestyle and wants to return to work. When she is headhunted by her old boss Beth is excited and elated to think of returning to the advertising career she gave up,when she tries to tell Jason he tells her he wants another baby ! After a massive argument she also flees back home.
Posy - the youngest sister has never left home. Living in a barn on her parents estate, Posy is a keen mountain climber and belongs to the local rescue team. She also works with her mum in her cafe and helps out with renting out their log cabin. When a handsome stranger, travel writer and adventurer Luke rents it out for a few months so he can complete his new book he opens up Posy to the idea of travelling and forefilling her buried dreams.
Posy feels obligated and trapped by her parents as she doesn’t want to abandon them after all they’ve done for her and when they rely on her so much. . But is Luke all he seems ? And will the sudden arrival of both her sisters over Christmas with their own dramas help Posy put to rest her demons and bring the sisters together like never before.
This is a lovely, charming romantic and funny novel that I could easily see being made into a Christmas movie. If you only get one Christmas book this year make sure it’s this one.

I loved this book. It was full of well constructed characters each with their own foibles. A definite feel good book for the Christmas season when families come together.

Great read. Not my usual genre but I was gripped throughout. I will definitely look out for more from this author and will be recommending to others.

After a run of so-so books, The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan was just what I needed to restore my faith in the literary world.
It’s a lovely concept following career girl Hannah, wife and mum Beth and adventurer Posy. They are the adopted daughters of Suzanne and Stewart who live in the Scottish Highlands. Suzanne’s daughters are coming home for Christmas but tensions are running high. With personal crises, hidden secrets and a wish to explore things are not going to be simple this Christmas for any of them. Add in a couple of gorgeous men and a missing rabbit and you have a lovely festive tale that will warm your heart.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK and the author for the chance to review.

When the McBride sisters return to their family home in the Scottish Highlands for Christmas, old tensions and new secrets begin to bubble to the surface.
Their adoptive mother, Suzanne, is determined to create the perfect family atmosphere for the season, but the McBride’s must first face their past before they can begin a new future together.
I always love Sarah Morgan’s books, but it made a lovely change to read one set, mostly, in the UK. And what a wonderful setting it was, the Scottish Highlands made for an idyllic location for this festive family tale.
The narrative was told from four points of view, Suzanne’s and her 3 daughters - Posy, Beth and Hannah. I really enjoyed that each chapter told another perspective as the four characters were so different in their personalities.
Usually I find at least one character that grates on me in a book with multiple protagonists, but Morgan has again succeeded in doing the opposite. The people she creates are always relatable and due to this they are easily lovable. It was a joy to watch the sisters unfold and come to trust each other and more importantly themselves as the story developed.
All in all, a heart-warming family story, perfect for the festive season.

What another fantastic read by Sarah Morgan. This is why she is one of my favourite authors. The book involves 3 sisters who suffered a great tragedy at a young age and the effect it has had on them growing up. Dont think by that statement it is a "oh woe is me" its not. There is love, laughter and tears!! I loved the book and couldnt wait to find out how all the sisters and their "mother" came out the other side. Brilliant, just brilliant.

There’s nothing wrong with reading Christmas books in September, especially if they’re written by this lady. I’m a huge fan and first in the queue when she has a new release out – and this book certainly didn’t disappoint.
I have noticed a shift in her writing in both her previous book and now this one blog but it’s all good. I think I read something about a different editor but, whatever the reason, the writing is more rounded and the plot a little darker. You’re still going to get the trademark HEA but there are a few more bumps along the way to keep those pages flipping.
A story about three sisters who’ve drifted apart since a trauma buried deep. Three very different sisters, who always come home to Scotland for Christmas. This time, two sisters arrive early and Posy, who’s the stay-at-home one is desperate to leave the stifling clutches of such a small town setting.
Told in the third person narrative and with the POV of each of the sisters and Suzanne, their mother, this is a delightful read full to the brim of Christmas cheer and a tree called Eric. If you’re a fan of theses type of books you’re going to love what Sarah Morgan has come up with.

This was such an easy book to read, but then again, Sarah Morgan always displays that acumen. If you want the story line, go somewhere else. Ms Morgan is one of those authors who has a 'feel' for the genre and long may she reign. Cheers Netgalley for the review copy.

What a wonderful book! I was offered the Christmas Sisters to read by NetGalley and thought it would just be a little Christmas story but it was so much more than that! The characters are so well developed with individual thoughts and reactions and personalities. The story starts with the family separated geographically but also emotionally and gradually we get to understand why, and then we see the change and progression leading to a fabulous conclusion. Beautifully described and fabulously set out so we hear the story from the main characters’ points of view.
I can’t wait to read another of Sarah Morgan’s books! Highly recommended!

A really great., easy read book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book which had lots of emotional bits throughout. The only negative for me is that it left you wanting to know what happened next....

This was a lovely read and I enjoyed both the writing and the characters. A good book to curl up in armchair to read.

Sarah Morgan just gets better and better! The story of Beth, Hannah and Posy kept me glued to the page and ,as usual, I devoured this novel in a couple of days as I always do with this author’s books. I found myself identifying with the idea of siblings who think they know each other but really get trapped in old behaviour patterns and don’t try to look beyond the obvious. Suzanne and Stewart were also great characters and it was great to read about a middle aged couple who were still full of life and love for each other.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all fans of Sarah Morgan, and first time readers will soon join the rest of us in looking out for her next book as soon as they finish this one.

I love Sarah Morgan and every year I love that Sarah Morgan releases a new Christmas book and this story did not disappoint.
The McBride sisters all knew tragedy at a young age and it has haunted them in the background ever since they were small children. During this story you see them all arrive back home to the Scottish Highlands for Christmas but each of them has their own issues that they are trying to deal with. A lovely story about three sisters uniting, rediscovering and uniting as a family once again.
This book is the perfect story to snuggle down with under a nice warm blanket, with a hot chocolate on a winters evening in December and get lost in the highs and lows of the McBride family.

Another gem from Sarah Morgan whose writing continues to be a must-read for me. The tale of three very different sisters, each going through challenging times for different reasons... set in Scotland but with strong references to the USA, this story also addresses several types of relationships, new challenges and dealing with the past.
A snowy tale set over the Christmas holidays, this is a warm and cosy tale that has a few sharp edges that add character and depth to the story.
A great read - really fab. Loved the characters and the descriptions of the small Scottish village. Brilliant, 5🌟

This is a book about four McBride women Suzanne, Hannah, Beth and Posy. The personalities hopes and fears of the women are complex and have been made over the years by by a tragedy when the sisters were young. This is a great storybringing together all the elements of Christmas, homecomings, children, family, happiness and snow.
I enjoyed this book and got quite involved with the characters. A great read

Suzanne McBride is trying to create the perfect Christmas for her three daughters who will be reuniting for the first time in a couple of years. But perfect decorations and mountains of delicious food won’t heal the misunderstandings that stem from trying not to talk about past pain. Atmospheric & engaging story, where you really feel as if you get to understand the family and hope that their problems will work out. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Absolutely adore Sarah Morgan’s book this one didn’t disappoint either! Definitely one to pick up and snuggle down with this winter

I have read and enjoyed several of Sarah Morgan’s novels and this one was no exception. I could barely bare to put this down as I was so engrossed in the story of the three MacBride girls. I loved the setting of the novel which wasn’t predominantly based in the highlands of Scotland in a small village. The characters were all likeable and believable and I loved the unravelling of how they had become the adults that they were and how the loss of their parents had impacted them.
A fantastic read and definitely one to recommend.
