Good pictures and simple story that. Hilaremos can follow. It is a good book for children with great curiosity and it is a good way so as children interest for mystery books. However , it is not the book I am looking for.
Thanks NetGalley and editor for give me the chance to have a look at this book

It's challenging to come up with a mystery for very young children, making a plot that's interesting but clear enough for a small child to see all of the clues. A preschooler may enjoy this book but I can see it becoming tiresome for parents.

It is a nice book about a beaver, but the illustrations are not so cute. Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for this copy.

Not what I was expecting at all. Too quick and very boring. I would not call this a whodoneit. My kids thought it was too short as well.

3 stars.

Im 50/50 about this book. I wasn't too keen on the illustrations. They weren't bad, but they weren't that good either. Just not my style I guess but the colours were well chosen. The story was only OK, but there was one page that did make me smile because it sounded funny and that was when they decided to put Beaver in jail. I guess I can see why kids would like it but I can also see why they wouldn't be interested aswell.

Children are never too young to be introduced to a good whodunit. The mystery provides some good talking points with children but I felt there could of been more clues before revealing who the culprit was.

Originally published in the Netherlands, this is an illustrated mystery for young readers or listeners. The questions…Who is wreaking havoc in town? Who is the vandal? How will the case be solved? How does the prisoner escape? How does a young girl save the day? Spend a little time with this book and find out!

This was a cute book. Someone is sawing everything in half, but who could it be. Kids will get a laugh out of the silly pictures and will have fun trying to solve the mystery. A great opportunity for kids to learn observation and problem-solving skills.

What a fun book! I love a good mystery and my children do too. Although my son guessed who it was in the very beginning my daughter loved the clues. I loved the ending and how the little girl showed that a little kindness can get a lot accomplished.

This isn’t really meant as a whodunit, as any children who know about a particular animal will figure it out. . . and if they don’t know the animal, it won’t mean anything to them anyway. No, this is about a moral, or how a child can be smarter than adults by being simplistic, or something like that.
The story’s also simplistic. It’s a cute tale, but it’s doubtful that this will become one of those books that a kid will want to read or have read to them over and over. Let’s hope the townspeople are smart enough—doubtful—to rebuild using steel.
The artwork is simple as well, though there’s a hilarious shot of a beaver on a Vespa!. . . that’s smaller than him.

The reveal is done early in the book. So there was no who did it surprise. Simple illustrations.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC

Sweet title, very distinct art style on the people, although the text setting and font weren’t for me, it’s just not a book that fits within the character of our shop I’m afraid.

'Who Did That? A Whodunit for Children' by Job, Joris and Marieke is a crime story for kids.

All through the town, things are being cut in half. A seesaw, a fishing rod, a hockey stick and a traffic light are just a few of the vandalized items. Who could be doing it? There are a few suspects before the real culprit is found.

There is a lesson about kindness and consideration. I liked the illustrations. It's a cute enough story, but it didn't really stand out for me.

This is the story of a little town where everything with wood is being broken in half. The townspeople get upset and want to know how to stop it. It is a cute and delightful story for younger children and a great bedtime story. The illustrations are cartoonish but will appeal to children. I recommend this book for the 2-4 age group.
I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a fun little who done it book for children. The illustrations were well done and the story gets them thinking about whodunit. It keeps their interest and gets them involved in the story wondering what is happening and trying to figure out the mystery.

“Who Did That?” is a great mystery story for kids. While adults will probably figure out who did the crime within the first few pages, the illustrations are filled with subtle but funny details that will keep them entertained. While most children’s books end on a happy note, this particular one is a little surprising and very satisfying.

A simple story with lovely illustrations. The beaver is cute and I like be the girl’s response. I do wonder what the message behind the story is and if it could have been made a little clearer though.

The book Who Did That? Tells the story of a town that is ravaged by a mystery. Someone or something is ruining all of the wooden items in town - from basketball hoops to recorders to traffic lights. After a few different people are blamed, they realize that it is a beaver that is eating through everything. They try to jail him, but he escapes. He starts eating again and no one knows what to do until a little girl politely asks him to stop. The beaver doesn't realize he was hurting anyone or anything and stops. It's a very cute book with a very good lesson. The pictures are well done, but the text is a little on the small side.
Overall, cute and I'd recommend it for children ages 3-5.

A witty and whimsical look at a world where everything gets nibbled and gnawed at, by some unknown assailant. Well, it's not exactly impossible to work out – and I hope the target audience's older, smutty siblings don't pick this up and read the exclamation upon the culprit being found out. It looks great, but I don't think it has the best of morals – career criminals can just disappear because they're asked to stop what they're doing? Such a thing might be the intention of every nursery and creche manager, but it's not exactly a primer for real life. In all, good artwork, unfortunate phrasing at a key point, and a peculiar lesson for the young reader.
