Two blogs that ignite a relationship between two people who had been unsuccessful finding love. A stay at home mom and a college professor build a friendship that slowly becomes so much more. Andi is definitely holding part of herself back and her witty blog is quickly to point out the truths of her fellow bloggers. Reid is slowly gaining a following and needs Andi’s expertise. Will he still be hot for his girl even after he finds out the truth? This was such a fun story to read.

Andi and Reid are both successful bloggers. Andi is anonymous, snarky, and tells it like it is or at least like she thinks it should be. Reid is well known, hot, shirtless, and a statistics professor...who is on the tenure track at a college who thinks their statistics professors shouldn't be hot and shirtless on the internet.

So, a match not exactly made in heaven. But, there's an attraction and a connection that neither of them wants to ignore. And, a commonality with the blogs they both run, although with Andi's anonymity, Reid is not aware that she is the blogger he is reaching out to in order to see what it is like to be anonymous.

This title was quirky, and it was fun. However, the quirky took away some of the romance for me. I liked both of the characters and their story, but there was something about it that felt like the quirky and fun parts of it overshadowed the serious and the romantic parts. I did still enjoy this, and I do recommend it...but I think, at the end, I wanted a little more than I ended up getting from this title.

I love a good single mum romance and this was brilliant!

Reid is just perfect! Sexy, sweet, affectionate, caring, gorgeous.. Gah, I need to find me a Reid of my own!

Andi reminded me a lot of myself, cynical and loves to stay at home! Andi is jaded, and seriously, who could blame her? I certainly couldn't! So when Reid comes along it seems too good to be true..

What follows is lots of laugh out load moments, the sweet, the trusting, the love and of course tension because of the big 'secret'.

5 stars!

This book was my introduction to Rachel Blaufeld's books and writing style, and I must say that it made me curious to read more of Rachel's books.

This novel appealed to me because of the blurb. It got me at "statistics professor by day, shirtless blogger by night", and the fact that the characters were bloggers is something I can connect with and that was fun. Speaking of blogs, Andi's posts are so funny! Loved them! And I think it was a great touch to the story, because it give us some insight to some aspects of her personality.

So, Andonia (awesome name), aka Andi, is an anonymous blogger and she's a single mom, meets Reid, a kind and handsome man. I'm not going to describe the plot, but let's say that the book is a romance that made me sigh, shake my head, and laugh. Their relationship developed from the first time they met face to face, until the end of the novel, and it was great to read because it was dynamic, cute, interesting, and there was that "when will the secret be uncover?" kind of feeling.

The characters had their own defined personality and voice, and I could relate to somethings and empathize with them. Plus, they felt real, and if they were I would definitely be their friend. There was also the fact that Andi is a mom and that changes the dynamic in the plot and the interactions between the characters. And speaking of her daughter, she was so cute! And Andi is a good mom, you can see how much she loves her daughter and the fact that she would do anything to keep her daughter safe, and give her everything that she needs.

The storyline was great too. It was engaging, funny, relatable, sweet, and it let me happy in the end of the book. There was that secret pending, and the drama and tension because of it. There is some fun and action scenes and some slow and intriguing scenes that opened up for the understanding of the characters' personality.

Overall, I loved this book and I recommend it to everyone that loves romance novels. It was an exciting book, full of fun moments and romance, with a writing style, plot and characters that grabbed my attention from page one.

Hot For His Girl by Rachel Blaufeld
Standalone Contemporary Romance

I was immediately drawn to Hot for His Girl by Rachel Blaufeld because it’s about bloggers. Running two blogs myself, I was excited to be able to relate to the main characters. And I totally did (Though I wish I were as successful at blogging as either one of them!).
“Here's the thing most people don't get. For us, the people of the web, relationships made behind the screen are the closest thing we have. We live in and on our devices.”

Andi Schwartz (Italian mom, Jewish dad - I loved that!) is a single mom who supports her daughter by running an anonymous blog that’s like a snarky TMZ of the blogging world. After her mom blog didn’t take off, she found that being snarky really worked and The Unaffectionate Blogger was born. Andi takes her anonymity very seriously and almost nobody knows who she really is.

When her sister turns her on to a guy’s blog called Grill and Groom, she is fascinated.
“Who grills shirtless? And who looks that good while he grills and writes about It? This guy could be a model, so why's he peddling himself as a blogger?”

Reid’s blog is doing well and he loves doing it, but he is a college professor and his bosses are not happy about his blog so he is thinking about going anonymous. He emails The Unaffectionate Blogger about her experiences and kind of develops a little crush on her based on her writing.

Meanwhile, a Halloween meet-cute happens when Andi meets the blogger of her fantasies in the flesh.
"It literally happens to me. My whole body rides the wave of brushing fingers with Reid, and I swear, he smiles. A small knowing smirk turns up each corner of his mouth as he takes the mutilated cup. I want to hand him my vagina. No, no, no. I can’t do that."

This turns into kind of a You Got Mail situation as Andi tries to keep her blog a secret while dating the guy who is writing the anonymous blogger for advice. Did you follow that?

Sigh…I really loved Reid. And I liked Andi a lot until she let it go on way too long. As someone who tried to blog anonymously, I know the toll leading a double life can take. I hated feeling like I was lying to people so I came clean right away. So while I LOVED the first half of the book, I started to not like her because she kept lying.

Likes:

•About bloggers, so relatable!
•Their first meetings.
•I love how she was brought up Jewish but other than a line here or there it wasn’t forced on the reader, and she wasn't a stereotype.
•Reid was sweet and adorable and taught Andi what was REALLY important.
•I love a single mom book.
•Some really funny moments.
•Smart and original.
•I loved the side characters.
•Getting into a little about the blogging business.

Dislikes:

•She kept up the lie way too long and I started to think she didn’t deserve him.
•Made me feel like a shitty blogger.
•Such a generic title for a unique book.

The Down & Dirty:
I loved the concept for Hot For His Girl and I was totally in love with the first ⅔ of the book until she kept her anonymity a little too long and that anonymity turned into lies. I did start to get frustrated, but I still enjoyed the read and had trouble putting it down. Hot For His Girl had a very unique and memorable story, but I doubt I will remember anything from the cover given its bland title that has nothing to do with the story. It was also great having a Jewish person in a story that isn’t an over-the-top meddling grandma. Despite my few reservations, I really did enjoy this book and you don't have to be a blogger to appreciate it!

I had the honor of meeting this wonderfully friendly, hilarious author at the Indies Invade Philly author signing event. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by her and I was thrilled to receive an early copy of HOT FOR HIS GIRL via Netgalley. It’s a rom-com, which isn’t her norm. However, she nailed it. So let’s chat about our heroine, Andi Schwartz and the sexy gorgeous geeky hero Reid Fellows.

Ahhh- Reid Fellows. Statistics professor by day, shirtless grill blogger by night! What a sexy catch. He’s good beyond measure, honest to a fault, the perfect guy you want to bring home to meet the parents. Underneath all of Reid’s wonderful goodness is a dirty talking alpha male. Bring on the sexy times!!!

Reid’s blog; Grill and Groom, his blog started on a dare and he really enjoys blogging. Imagine that, a total geek who loves to cook? He blogs about grilling, (he’s actually a fabulous cook) and (ahem-grooming?) Andi, on the other hand, has been jaded and somehow finds a way of making a living at blogging. She is a single mom and makes money through advertisement’s on her blog, The UnAffectionate Blogger. Let that sink in for a minute UnAffectionate. Yea she’s a bit cold and callous, but brutally honest with her blogging about other blogs pumping overpriced, not worth it products. She’s a little ruthless, but she has a following and people love her!

Andi’s brother in law has a bit of a man crush on Reid and his blog and asks Andi to stalk his site. She’s intrigued by it as well as Reid. Unbeknownst to Reid, Andi is following him. But but but wait… Reid follows Andi’s blog and she knows it. When these two meet in real life, clearly sparks fly. Reid is so good with Andi’s young daughter. He’s is just incredibly hard not to fall in love with. She wants to tell Reid she is the UAB but she’s hesitant to trust him. She’s been burned before and needs to protect herself and her daughter. As time goes on and they get closer, as well as getting very busy in the sheets, (bow chicka wow wow) I felt she should have told him who she was. I mean come on this man emails UAB for advice on his relationship with her! How messed up is that???

HOT FOR HIS GIRL was a fast one sitting read that I enjoyed immensely! Little angst, lots of heart, and what Scandal calls- a palate cleanser!

Hot is an understatement! This book was lush with sexiness and heart. This was a new to me author and her writing was fantastic. The characters were well rounded and the story entertaining.

Andi and Reid are both bloggers. Andi is a single mom blogging to support her daughter. Reid is a statistics professor and blogger at night. These two are enemies at first then turn into lovers. The heat between them is intense and instant. I liked the relationship between Reid and Andi's daughter Gabby. A good recommended read.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This was a cute story with a very lovable hero. I loved Reid and his openness and how sweet he was with Andinand her daughter who just adorable. Reid is a nerd statistics professor at the local university. However he is also the author of a blog where he sometimes grills shirtless. He loves teaching but his passion has quickly become his blog. Andi is a blogger who sarcastically at tacks other bloggers by exposing their "truths". She is popular and makes money for her and her daughter to survive. He identity is anonymous. When she meet Reid and they start a relationship she doesn't tell him about her secret identity. In the meantime he has contacted her alter ego for blogging advice. Things get unnecessarily complicated for her. She made things a lot harder than they needed to be. Still they get their HEA.

I loved the previous books of Rachel's that I have read, but this one has taken the top spot. It's witty, fun, has characters you will adore, and it has a refreshing story line that will have you hooked. And being a PA girl, I loved that the story was set in Pittsburgh (Go Steelers).

What I loved about Andi is that she is all of us. Her life isn't perfect, and I love her for it. She's a single mom who has found a niche with her blog, she gives her all to her daughter and her work. Her personal life consists of Disney movies and pizza, so dating has taken a back seat.

Reid is the geeky professor with a "secret life" of a guy blogger. He has cornered the blog world in shirtless grilling by night and a professor of statistics by day. Much like Andi, dating has kind of taken a back seat to his job and his side gig. He is the very definition of sexy geekiness that will have you swooning right there with Andi.

The story line was so refreshing and sweet! Rachel has a unique way of drawing a reader in to the story and getting you caught up in emotion, and this book was no different. It just has a lighter tone than we are used to from her. It's a romcom that isn't over the top, but will have you laughing with all the real life antics that can happen with parenthood, and there are plenty! I hope we see more from the author in this subgenre, it's perfect for her

Hot for His Girl by Rachel Blaufeld was such a fun story! I was really pulled in by the storyline. As a blogger, it was so fun to see a story from that perspective. I really enjoyed how you could see Andi getting sucked into the internet world. It’s so easy to get attached to your phone, or iPad, Laptop, whatever device you prefer. It happens all too often and this made Hit for His Girl to be even more relatable.

The writing is fun and different encompassing some blog posts. I really enjoyed the different writing methods. I liked Reid a lot. He seems more open and sensitive than Andi. As a book blogger, I found myself connecting more to Reid. He blogs for fun and gets pleasure from it. Andi is blogging for money and she stresses and it doesn’t seem fun. I don’t know, I struggled with how blogging was portrayed. I get it, and I can see soooo many people who succumb to the bad side but if it isn’t fun, why do ya do it? Anywho, I don’t want to go on some odd tangent... which I can totally do!

The romance of the story was fun and light. Reid is so easy to fall for and he stole the show for me! This was my first read by Ms. Blaufeld but I’ll be checking out her previous books and watching for new ones. She had a really fun concept here that was light and fun, but seriously sweet and sexy.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

While this book is a departure from this author’s other stories, I loved it just the same!! Andi is such a fun character who at times is snarky, well when it comes to her blog anyway. Reid, well Reid could not appear enough in this story. What a guy! This book will just draw you in from start to finish. And if you haven’t read Rachel Blaufeld yet we’ll you should!

I’m normally not a fan of books where one deceives the other but I absolutely loved Hot For His Girl! Andi has a successful blog but she remains anonymous while Reid is trying to build his. The way these two meet is adorable! This is a fast read & I highly recommend! 5 Stars!

I'm so happy I made this my first read by Rachel Blaufeld!

Rachel Blaufeld is stunning--Hot For His Girl is the most original story I've read in a long time. I was hooked from the very beginning. The author had such a unique approach in telling this story and I hope other stories by her are just as good.

I love when a story can take me places and that's exactly what Andi and Reid did. Oh my, I laughed so hard, I had tears in my eyes. I totally adored Andi, and goodness, did she have her hands full keeping her blogging secret from her new friend, Reid. Not to mention, her daughter and eccentric neighbor kept me giggling.

Hot for His Girl was fun and exciting. Blaufeld put a new twist in the romance genre and it was simply stunning! Great job and five well-deserved stars.

SUPER STEAMY, OUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY, A UNDOUBTEDLY LOVABLE ROMANCE THAT I COULDN'T PUT DOWN!

Damn, this book was SO FREAKING GOOD! I fell in love with Andi and Reid. The sparks that seemed to snap up between them had me grinning from ear to ear. The story was wonderfully entertaining. It was fun and sexy and brought pure joy to my senses. There was a lot of great snark and wit that made me chuckle and the sex made me giddy because it was HOT. AS. SIN.

A cute story about 2 bloggers, who fall in love. I enjoyed how the story was how life as a mom really is, sick kids and all!

First of all I am totally in love with Reid! This was a fun, sweet romance that I couldn't put down. The blogging background was unique and i loved the snarky, sarcasm of Andi's secret blogger persona and Reid's relationship with Andi's daughter Gabby was adorable. Rachel Blaufeld said this rom-com was a bit of a departure for her but I hope she continues to explore this genre in the future.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
