Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this great novel by Mandy Baggot.
A great festive read with all the component parts a reader wants for this time of year - romance, sparkly lights, cold winter evenings for snuggling up and Christmas all rolled into one.
Another great book from Ms Baggot, thank you.

Pure escapism in those pages, a chance to forget about everything and whisk yourself away. Immerse yourself in Christmas, with bright lights, snowflakes and everything we want to experience. An easy read but such an enjoyable one.

It's always been a dream of mine to spend christmas in New York so I knew this book would give me the warm fuzzies right from the off. A great feel-good story with funny, likeable characters and perfect for ending the festive season on.

Another good book by Mandy Baggot. It took me a while to get into this one but I enjoyed it and the ending. I loved reading about New York and imagined being there whilst reading. Definitely looking out for her next one and thank you for accepting my request.

What can I say? The perfect festive read in the run up to Christmas or any time of year. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. It was easy to read and I felt myself escaping and falling in love with New York all over again - I visited in the summer but have a longing to go at Christmas time. I could easily imagine myself in all the places Seth and Lara visited whilst in New York having visited most of them myself.
I felt that almost all the characters were real to life and very likeable but even the ones you were meant to not like weren't so bad in the end (Trent and Dan I'm talking about you here)

This is the first book I've read from this author but it certainly won't be the last. I do like that this is a standalone story but I also think that there is plenty of room for one or two sequels or spinoffs with some of the other characters especially Susie and David. I think it needs to be made into a Hallmark Christmas movie ASAP as it would make a lovely feel-good festive rom-com.

A wonderful holiday read with a host of quirky yet lovable secondary characters! As well as exploring the excitement of New York at Christmastime, this is primarily a book about the importance of being true to yourself.

When Lara Weeks boyfriend Dan suggests they take a break and that he will be spending Christmas in Scotland rather than with her, her best friend Susie convinces her it's a good idea to drunken tweet her favourite actor ... who responds!! Off they go to New York and meet up with the gorgeous Seth Hunt with the idea to plaster him all over her social media to make Dan jealous.

Seth takes up the role of tour guide and his friendship with Lara develops along the way.

This is a lovely feel good story, it's Christmassy but not overly so. The characters are all well written and likeable. It's a magical story, a fairytale ending with the backdrop of New York at Christmas ... what's not too like?!

Thanks to Net Galley for the ARC

Although this book was incredibly long, the delightful and festive novel had completely won me over. A lovely holiday romance in the stunning streets of NYC, between truck driver, Laura and actor, Seth. The story was incredibly fun, allowing us to witness two strangers get to know one another and form a wonderful friendship/relationship.

Seth's story was probably my most favourite part of the part, as there was so much depth to it and it was really touching.

A great read from Mandy - thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read 'One New York Christmas' :)

Lara is a tomboy lorry driver who gets dumped by her boyfriend just before Christmas but instead of sitting at home crying she persuades her best friend Susie to go to New York with her. What could be a better tonic than a beautiful snowy New York Christmas........... especially if you throw a hunky actor into the mix!

Another great book by this author I have loved all of her books and this one definitely doesn't disappoint. Lara is a great character and well rid of the boyfriend, Seth is lovely too and so you are really rooting for a happy ending for them.......but don't want the book to end!

One New York Christmas is a delightfully festive novel about a girl who goes to New York on a whimsy after being dumped by her asshat boyfriend and meets one of her famous crushes and falls in love.

It sounds fabulously fluffy, doesn't it?
A nice holiday romance that will make you smile but will be easy to forget about?
Well, it is a nice holiday romance that makes you smile and it does have a lot of funny fluffy moments but it's so much more than that.
It actually has substance. It's not just a girl meets a boy who heals her broken heart type story.
It's a story about learning who you are and being true to yourself.
A book about the meaning of family: That blood isn't what makes a family, it's love and it's loyalty.

Lara was such a fun character.
A homebody with a desire to see the world. A female truck driver. A girl not afraid to get dirty, or to rescue animals, or get in between a couple of homeless guys having an argument and get sporked for her trouble (yep, that happens). She is a highly competent female with a hint of vulnerability that makes you want to hug her and keep her as a best friend.
Basically, she was lovely and you only wanted good things for her while simultaneously wanting to slap her silly over her fixation on her ex who didn't deserve her loyalty or sadness.
(OMG did the ex-boyfriend fixation get annoying... *screams into a pillow*)

Seth was a lovely, lovely, guy and I want one (even though I already have one, but that's not the point).
Gorgeous, smart, kind and decent. Hard-working, a loving son, a decent human.
He's basically, completely different from how actors are usually portrayed in fiction (well, except for the gorgeous part) and all the better for it.
He's a wonderful match for Lara and their relationship made me smile, giggle and swoon.

I was seriously rooting for this pair... And that's why I'm so unbelievably sad that the ending is a 'happy for now' and not a 'happily ever after'.
I just don't see how they could ever make it work in the long term and with no epilogue to delude me into thinking it's possible I just don't believe it...
But that's irrelevant I guess.
I mean, there's no point fixating over the undisclosed affairs of fictional characters, right? *sobs*

The book was utterly charming, fun and had a host of memorable secondary characters that made me smile from the flamboyant best friends to the quirky relatives and shelter guests.

New York was brought to life in beautiful festive colours and it made me desperately want to visit it at Christmas time but what really amused me was the mention of so many places local to me! I spent a silly amount of time puzzling over what town or village the fictional Appleshaw was based on considering the other towns mentioned... Apparently, the author is a local, who knew? Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to go on to pin-point Appleshaw's inspiration, but I digress.

One New York Christmas pretty much had everything you can think of when it comes to Christmas read rolled up and stuffed into a sweet, and touching story which was sprinkled with reindeer dust and if that's your thing, I'd give it a try.

This was a delightful story. Funny, entertaining, romantic and with very appealing characters. A story with a happy ending just what I needed and I enjoyed every moment it took to read. Visiting New York has always been on my bucket list, this was certainly an introduction to what I am missing.

I adore Christmas in New York, although only seen on films and read about in books and here is another perfect New York Christmas story written by the brilliant Mandy Baggot. Mandy recreates Christmas in New York perfectly so it feels real. Lara escapes to New York with her friend after finding out that her boyfriend is not sure on his feelings anymore, and what an adventure it is. I was left a little lost after finish this book and I mean that in a good way, I was unsure what to read next I missed the characters that I had fell in love with. A great read, I adore Mandy Baggot.
