This series is everything. As someone who largely only reads contemporary romance, I’m always amazed at Suzanne’s ability to completely draw me in. I cannot wait for the next one

Unfortunately this book (and this series) is really not for me anymore. I feel like with any Suzanne Wright book I feel the same kind of frustration about the same formulaic plot, characters, romance, couples, etc. there might be a few things that get added to a character to make them different but it is not enough to help the reader really differentiate the characters. Which is really unfortunate because shifter romance can be so fun and exciting, but this series just is not giving me that.

Great continuation of the series.

Cat meets wolf and all the fun ensues.

Good story that keeps you gripped. All the pack members make an appearance and the funny banter is as expected.

The whole series is must for me and I do regular rereads.

Defo give it about

This is the fourth book in the Mercury Pack series and in my opinion whilst it can be read as a standalone reading the previous books would be of benefit .
In fact to fully understand the characters and keep them in order -alternating reading the previous book in the Phoenix Pack series first would be of benefit as the characters overlap .

In this book Bracken , shaped by by his past full of betrayal and tragedy begins to see that perhaps a mate might just be what he needs and wants and heal .
Madison lives a life of Independence , her cat's personality and her own finally beginning to be fully understood .

The book is full of moments of angst , wit (laugh out loud moments - especially Madison talking in her sleep)
and a romance where both parties give of their best to resolve their pasts .

I was given an arc of the book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Let me start this review by stating that I am a die hard Suzanne Wright fangirl. She is one of my favourite paranormal romance authors.

Echoes of Fire is the fourth book in The Mercury Pack Series.

I would not advise anyone, to read these books as stand alone's. All the characters are reoccurring and the two series also cross over. Take my advice and read them in order...all of them, you won't be sorry.

If you love paranormal romance and shifters, then this is the author for you.

OMG... This one had some really hilarious moments. Madisyn's talking in her sleep had me in tears from laughing so hard. I love a good paranormal/shifter book when the characters make me laugh.

I was looking for something like Shelly Laurenston's Pride series, which can't be beat, but this and the Phoenix Pack series are pretty good. The one thing that has bothered me in both series, is that each female has almost died. In this one, that doesn't happen to Madisyn. She get's hurt, like they all do. But she's able to stand on her own for the most part. I liked that.

One thing you have to be aware of when reading/listening to this series, is that once the Mercury Pack starts, you should read alternating between this one and the Phoenix Pack series. I didn't realize that until I was listening to one of the Phoenix Pack books and a character from the Mercury Pack was already mated when they hadn't been before. So after Carnal Secrets, dive into Spiral of Need, then alternate between the series book by book. It will help you keep everything in order.

I absolutely loved this story. Madisyn is everything you would expect from a Suzzane Wright heroine. Bracken’s family’s story breaks my heart, we got snippets of what happened in the last Phoenix Pack book but in Echoes of Fire we get the whole story. He has had his revenge and is begrudgingly going forward in his life. Madisyn is the last thing he expects, and exactly what he needs. I loved their story and catching up with the rest of the Pack. I would absolutely recommend this book, but I wouldn’t read it as a stand alone. I would suggest reading all of the Mercury and Phenix Pack books first. They are wall amazing so it is well worth the time.

OMG! What a story. I swear I start every review with “I love—-and —-“, and this one is no different. Madisyn is an absolute crack up. She is quirky and funny and fierce, just like the rest of the females. Bracken is sad and tormented and trying to rebuild his life, but has no idea how. When they find themselves unexpectedly thrown together by the mating bond, they’ll have to learn how to take Madisyn’s independent nature and how to make Bracken live again.

This book is awesome. How Suzanne’s brain works, we may never know, but each alpha female has their own brand of crazy and I’m loving it. Madison and the conversations she has in her sleep...the extreme luck she seems to have, and the fact that, her cat is so mysterious and legendary, that other shifters are afraid of it, I’m in awe of her and I’m all for it.

We all feel for what happened to Bracken. We didn’t know how he was going to find himself out of the darkness, but once he found Madisyn, he clung to her and patiently waited to drag himself back too his pack and his woman. I wasn’t sure if we’d find any humor around Bracken’s story, but given the distraction of the bears and the other wolf pack, we were able to see Bracken heal, embrace his mate, and reconnect with his pack.

I loved the story..loved how it made you burst out laughing (as we always do) and especially loved how we got to find out what a Pallas cat is and what they’re capable of..great job Suzanne, as always.

This is seriously the best series. Always well written. Each addition to the series is different and well thought out.

I usually keep close track of when Ms. Wright has a new book releasing and while I think I had remembered that she had finished Bracken’s story, he totally snuck up on me and was here before I knew what hit me. And of course, I was so excited that I read Echoes of Fire the first chance I got after it hit my kindle! I absolutely loved it — it was another amazing addition to the Mercury Pack series!

I love all of the Mercury Pack/Phoenix Pack series characters even before, but especially after I’ve read their books and Bracken and Madisyn were no exception. They’re just everything I want my heroes and heroines to be and I wouldn’t want to change a thing about them. I loved Bracken’s darkness, his protective and possessiveness, and his devotion and I just loved everything about Madisyn. She’s laid back, down-to-earth, confident, and she has a big heart. She’s strong and brave and a boss — Bracken and Madisyn are just wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Echoes of Fire. It made me laugh, tugged on my heartstrings, and always kept my attention. It was an amusing, exciting, heart pounding tale and I could have read it forever. Now I can’t wait for Eli’s story or Dominic’s!

This book, much like many of Wright's other books was amazing. I always have high expectations of what her bonds need to accomplish and every single time she smashes past them all. Although Derren and Ally have been my favourite couple so far (though I am looking forward to Dominic's book since he is my favourite character of all time, I mean I can't wait to delve into his mind) this couple are not far behind. I loved this book and cannot wait for the best book :)

I enjoyed Echoes of Fire but I felt it was lacking in some of its usual humour and snark that I'm used to with this series and author. But I LOVE Suzanne Wright and everything she writes you can tell she puts her heart into and makes it the best she can which is while I will always read her books.

While Echoes of Fire is standalone I would recommend reading the series because they feature a great cast of characters and you'll have a better understanding of who everyone is.

Madisyn wasn't my favourite heroine in the series but I liked her self dependency and that she is kick-ass and can take care of herself. Bracken is a great character and his grief was really hard. But I struggled a little with their chemistry and felt something was lacking a little compared to other couples in the series.

Overall a good read and a great series that I highly recommend if you like paranormal romance or Ms Wright's other books.

Welcome back we now have the Mercury Pack's 4th book Echo's of Fire! It was freaking fabulous!!!
I love that when writing the Mercury and Phoniex Pack books Suzanne Wright always gives each character their own voice and never mixes them up. What she does do with each book is add to what we already know and love about the characters. The pups are growing up and just dying to get in on more of the "screen time" and it is too funny......
"Willow cocked her head. 'Bracken, did you know that Cassidy’s a virgin?' Bracken stiffened. 'Um . . .' He looked at the others for guidance, but they were all staring at Willow with a kind of horrified amusement."

Echo's of Fire is Bracken's and Madisyn's Story, and Wright waste no time jumping into the story.
What the Alpha says about Madisyn:
'"I thought she was a caracal. Maybe even an ocelot. I definitely did not think she was one of those snuggly little death dealers.'”

What everyone knows about Madisyn:
"You never startled them. You never cornered them. You never touched their food. And you never fed them after midnight."

I apologize I thought my review had posted but it did not, so again I apologize. I am a great supporter of Suzanne Wright. I purchased this book as well as preordered Untamed Delights.

This is my favorite book out of the Mercury Pack Series and Phoenix Pack Series. Bracken and Madisyn is not only badass but the best mated couple to date. Bracken is broken after the loss of his family and surviving on guilt. Madisyn is a loner. They learned they were mates early on which I loved and watched it build. Why there bond develops, Madisyn has to deal with Brackens over protectiveness mostly due to not because they are fated by his guilt of his family. With Bear Clans in the mix, Suzanne takes them on a wild ride of trust and love. I loved all the supporting characters that always show up in series. But of all of Suzanne's books, this is the best yet!! I always one-click when the preorder hits, but if I could do it again, I would!

Another great one from Ms. Wright. I love her Phoenix and Mercury pack series and the new shifters that she introduces . This is the fourth book in the Mercury pack series and focuses on Drake and Madisyn. Drake has cut himself off from his pack/friends and Madisyn is a loner so of course they end up being mates. Great story, great characters. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Jordan – ☆☆☆☆
Echoes of Fire by Suzanne Wright is part of The Mercury Pack series, which is a spin-off from The Phoenix Pack series. I have read several of Suzanne Wright’s books in both The Mercury Pack series and The Phoenix Pack series and I’ve grown rather fond of all the characters in both series. Although, reading the previous books in the series is not necessary because Echoes of Fire can be a read as a standalone. That being said, I did have moments of wondering what I had missed because Bracken Slater’s character hadn’t previously really stood out to me in the previous books.

I easily found myself developing a real soft spot for this wolf shifter who had been consumed by grief and guilt. Now, with Madisyn Drake, a rare feline shifter, in the picture he’s feeling more alive than he has in a long time.

Wright’s characters always have such explosive chemistry in the bedroom and Echoes of Fire was no exception. I loved how well Madisyn and Bracken fit together! Reading Echoes of Fire kind of makes me want to go back and re-read some of her older books in this series because I kinda wish I had a better recollection of Bracken’s character. I was just so wowed by him that I can’t believe I missed him! Also, Madisyn’s character was such a strong independent female lead and I just adored her and her feisty Pallas cat self!

I was kinda excited to get back into the shifter romance scene cause it’s been a hot minute since I’ve read a good one and Wright definitely delivered with Echoes of Fire.

Another solid addition to The Mercury Pack series. 4 stars for Suzanne Wright’s Echoes of Fire!

Madisyn is a loner, not just because of her unique breed but because of losing her parents at a young age. She's not meek or cowardly or afraid of facing life head on as one might be after experiencing such tragedies at a young age.

Bracken is broken inside. Not only did he witness his family's deaths at the hands of those who want to extinguish the shifter clans, he feels enormous guilt because as an enforcer, it’s his duty to protect his pack as well as his family.

Nothing has sparked his interest since the death of his family except for getting revenge. Now at loose ends, he's contemplating taking a leave from his post as enforcer to travel, to see if there is peace to be found. But then Madisyn is attacked by a group of bear shifters and he's sent in to check on her and make sure she's okay.

Madisyn doesn't feel like she needs a babysitter but as the attacks keep coming, she finds that she doesn't mind Bracken being around. He gives her space to be herself and his house is even more secluded than hers. She has found peace with him – if only the bears would go away and let them see where this goes.

This installment of the Mercury Pack is riveting, and I couldn't put it down.

I absolutely loved this book! As usual This couple was also one of my favorites! I loved how the Hero was with the heroine. I also loved how the characters from previous books were encoperated in here. I like how the characters don’t seem forced. I’m now eagerly waiting for the next book!

Love this entire series and this latest installment was a great continuation of the storyline. Enjoyed seeing so many older characters, along with new ones in the starring roles. Highly recommend!
