A fantastic addition to this series, I love a good second chance at love story and we get that with Owen and Eden, who were childhood sweethearts. There's a lot of history between these two, and once they were back in the same orbit, I couldn't wait to see how things would play out between them and whether they would reconcile; I could understand Eden's hesitance as an adult when it came to any sort of possible romance with Owen, given how things went down when they were younger. Add in the element of the firebug in town and this kept me up well into the night to see how everything would turn out.

OWEN, the third book in the UNDERCOVER BILLIONAIRE series, did not disappoint. We were not only reunited with Owen and his brothers and their families but there were threads from the first two books woven into this one.

This is Owen and Eden’s story, and there was a lot of heat and romance but also hurt, sadness, and fear. Owen and Eden were childhood sweethearts that dated for three years before Owen vanished without a word, only to return for good ten years later. The story had wildfires raging out of control with property and lives lost and a vendetta that took an ugly turn against both Owen and Eden. My emotions were engaged throughout.

There was a nice flow to the story but a lot more between-the-sheets moments than seemed necessary. The tragedies that befell both Eden and Owen were tremendous but somehow each one seemed to give them more strength to fight back and put an end to the craziness. Unfortunately, the story didn’t resolve itself cleanly, so I’m hoping that means the story will continue with another book in the series. The characters had a depth to them I enjoyed and it definitely enriched the plot.

The descriptions of the fire and its aftermath were vivid and drew me into the story. The pages turned quickly, as I wanted to see what would happen next. The love between the brothers and also between Owen and Eden felt real; they went from highs to lows and back again. Family was important to all of them. The criminal aspect of the many acts of arson and looking for the arsonists added a layer of suspense. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Owen and Eden's story was so heartfelt. There story was rough, but what truly got me was how heart wrenching and deep the loss of her father but her. I lost my father as I was an adult and it broke me because I wasn't ready to loose him. This book made me cry. I look forward to Declan's story next.

Eden and Owen were childhood sweethearts. Eden thought for sure that they were on the path of marriage. Everything was looking like that until one day he was gone. After dealing with her mother dying as a child Owen leaving and then her father dying months before Eden returns to town, she has reasons to wonder if and when he is going to leave. Eden wants to tell her why he left but he just can’t do it. While he is wanting to start a relationship up with her again someone is also going around starting fires. So now you are trying to find out who is starting the fires in town and if Owen and Eden get reignite their fire as well. A good story.

Sparks are igniting all over the place and Owen is desperate to save the town he loves. He left behind his high school sweetheart and has returned hoping to solve the mystery that is consuming land and homes as he tries to battle the flames that threaten them all. Eden is investigating the fires and who could possibly be behind the devastation that is out of control. Great series!

Owen: Undercover Billionaire, Book Three was a great read by Melody Anne. Eden and Owen were inseperable childhood sweethearts that planned a life together. Unfortunately their happily ever after never came true when Owen up and vanished. He returned to their hometown ten years later as the newest firefighter. He hopes that he can get a second chance to tell her why he left and how he feels for her. I enjoyed Eden and Owen's story and can't wait to read more by Melody Anne.

I didn't feel the spark between me and a book anymore. The only intriguing part was the suspense but as for the chemistry between MCs? None. I didn't feel it.
Even though I didn't read it until the end I'm giving the story itself 3 stars. Tbh, I'm surprised I even came that far in a book.

I loved this book. Melody Anne writes great books with a story that gets you from the start. You don't want to put the book down, it's that good.

A story of second chance romance, “Owen” follows titular character Owen and his childhood sweetheart Eden who was separated by Owen’s choice. A mysterious phone call made him leave his hometown.

Then 10 years later, he was back but it seemed he had disaster a doppelganger because it seems that where Owen went, tragedy followed. With that as part of the story arc, the book also became, to a certain degree a romantic thriller.

I like Melody Anne. Her easy-going prose makes her stories a very laidback to read. With the added mystery in the storyline, the book reminded me of an old TV set, “Murder She Wrote.” It ran for 12 years. This was 1984-1996, pre-CSI era, so the fast-paced police procedural that can be gory at times was not around yet.

Taking this observation to “Owen,” the mystery subplot is not fast-paced either. Don’t expect Tom Clancy. This is more of a romance after all, a genre that Melody Anne excels. For romance lovers, yes, this a great book to read because the whodunit story arc is a stimulating addition. But if you are more into John Grisham, et. al., then “Owen” might be too tame for you.

Soooo, I didn’t love this story as much as I wanted, but I’m definitely on board with Melody Anne’s writing. Once I have a bit more free time, I’m totally going to binge her books!

Maybe it’s because I’ve jumped into this series late and needed to work up to Eden and Owen. But I couldn’t connect with them at all. Owen’s reasons for leaving and staying for 10 years wasn’t quite justified even though teens can make irrational decisions. And although I did feel for Eden and all that she has lost, the fact that she believed the man she loved (and his family) could be behind something so heinous was just rather unbelievable. Yes she said countless of times that there’d be no way they could, but her constant questioning of it said otherwise.

I really loved the suspense that was happening and that’s what really carried me throughout this book. I wanted to know the who and why … pretty much the entire time as I was reading this. I usually don’t like a 3rd POV, but in this instance, I was all for it.

Since I jumped into this series so late, I was introduced to the other brothers and I was dying to know more about them. So you can bet that I’ll be going back to read their stories.

My lack of connection to both of the main characters was what really hindered me to love their story. I wanted a better reason for Owen to stay away for 10 years and I wish Eden didn’t constantly state the fact that everyone kept leaving her …

With that being said, it was an OK story and I’m definitely looking forward to the others in this series.

Owen , part of the Forbes family, returns to town and wants to have a second chance with Eden whom he never forgot. Add into the mix an arsonist and this book guarantees a page turning read.

This is the third book in the series, and whilst it stands well on its own, you will get to see how two of his siblings find their true loves – and there are some parallels.

Owen disappeared out of Eden's life ten years ago, but now wants back in. The chemistry is most definitely there, but the trust is missing. The one time that she gave in to it, a truly tragic event marred the evening.

Eden stayed in their home town and is now trying to discover who is setting fires which have the power to destroy it. As the danger grows, I could not believe that neither of them takes more care – Eden in particular seems to want to tempt fate to end her life. This is quite ironic as she has decided that she no longer believes in fate.

As in many books, there were times when they could have just said something, but no, they only thought it instead! Grrr, but it built up the drama, and gave the best result at the end. Another small town love story that Melody Anne has imbued with her matchmaking magic.

Owen is a firefighter who is trying to save his own town. There is an arsonist who is causing chaos in his town and he's determined to figure out who it is and why. But Owen is also there because he ran away years ago and left behind his heart. Owen's character, for me, was somewhat weak. He lacked true development for me. He was mainly surface tough and there wasn't enough meat to his character. I wanted his reasons for leaving behind everything and everyone he knew to be more significant as well. His belief that he was doing something worthy was lacking conviction throughout the story.

Then you have Eden. She too was lacking in development and substance. Her reasoning for shying away from people was that "everyone leaves her." But she also isn't great at seeking people out who would be there for her. While she's doing her job, she has to interact with Owen, the man who broke her heart years ago. She holds a deep hatred/love for Owen. Her character is more what I would expect from a young adult story.

Overall, while I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the story, the romance story was lacking for me. I really wanted to connect with their story, but overall, it was too young adult.

Owen is Owen. I can’t sum him up to be honest but he has officially become my favourite hero by Melody Anne, and I didn’t even think that was at all possible.

Eden’s connection with Owen, oh my gosh, so perfect. I have to say that Eden stole my heart and when Eden and Owen were together, I was rooting for them so much.

This story felt so emotional and private but I loved every second of it!

Wow, I loved this novel! This novel grabbed me from the first chapter to the very last and would not let me go. This novel had my emotions all over the place. I loved the chemistry between Owen and Eden. I was so rooting for these characters. This novel kept me guessing. I never knew what was coming next, but ultimately it left me with a smile on my face. Loved it!

Good combination of second chance romance and suspense. The story opened with the teenage Owen and Eden happy with their relationship and plans for the future. That happiness came crashing down when Owen received a phone call and left town without so much as a goodbye to Eden, much less an explanation as to why he left. Ten years later he returned to town, older, wiser, and determined to win Eden back. Eden was crushed when he left and never really got over it. Determined to protect her heart, she tried to avoid him during the time since he came back. Finally, determined to get him out of her system once and for all, she showed up at his house, where their inflammatory chemistry took over. But her life was turned upside down once again, as her father died while she was with Owen, leaving her with wracking guilt that she could have saved him if she hadn't been with Owen.

Six months later Eden was still trying to get her life back on an even keel. She had lost her mother as a child, then Owen left, then her father died. But Owen's return stirred up so many feelings that she didn't want to deal with. She tried hard to convince herself that she was over him, but lying to herself was never her way. Now things were going from bad to worse. There was an arsonist setting fires around town and in the hills, threatening the very existence of the town. Eden has been tagged to do some interviews of some possible suspects (not sure why someone from a lawyer's office is doing arson investigation work). Investigators believe that the fires may be an inside job, and Owen's recent return puts him on the list. She found it hard to believe, but she also didn't know him well any longer.

Owen refused to give up on his feelings for Eden. He took every opportunity to put himself in her path, but the fires weren't helping. Being a firefighter was a huge part of who he was. When it was him versus the fire, it didn't matter how much money he had in the bank, or if people like him, just defeat the fire. I ached for him as he lost friends and coworkers, and loved his determination to see it stopped.

I liked the rekindling of the relationship between Eden and Owen. The chemistry between them was always there, with Owen all for it and Eden trying to resist. I felt bad for Owen when he was suspected of being the arsonist, especially with Eden being the one to investigate. I liked that Eden's common sense made her realize that there was no way that Owen would be involved. Working together to find the truth gave them the chance to get to know each other again. The biggest obstacle was Eden's reluctance to trust Owen again. I loved how Owen's protectiveness kicked in as the arsonist focused on them. There were some beautiful moments between the two of them as Owen took care of Eden, and Eden supported Owen against the suspicions of his involvement. I also loved how she was there for him when the losses got to him. The rebuilding of their relationship had some ups and downs. I loved seeing them open up about their pasts, their mistakes, and what the future might hold. But Eden especially had difficulty believing that happiness was within her reach. Her fears caused her to pull back several times, and I wanted to shake her each time. Owen had amazing patience with her. I loved how he was able to wait until she worked through her feelings and realized that they belonged together. The ending was both fun and emotional. His gift to his fiancée was amazing, and I loved how it showed how well he understood her. The scene at the wedding reception was sweet, moving, and heart-wrenching at the same time.

The suspense of the story was great. Even though I haven't (yet) read the first two books, there was enough background given that I didn't feel lost. There was the feeling that the fires were part of something bigger, and the ending confirmed it. The suspense began early as some events were shown through the eyes of the bad guy, whose issues with Owen and Eden put them in extreme danger. The escalation of the attacks against them had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. I loved Eden's strength of will and presence of mind during the confrontation at the end, along with Owen's understandable reactions. I liked the lead-in to the next book and can't wait for Declan's story.

This is an amazing... and hot... second chances novel. I loved Owen and that he could embrace how he messed up... and how he wants to make it better and have that second chance.

Amazing! Melody Anne kills it in this incredible sexy and fast paced book. I loved everything she writes and this one brings me back. Wonderful dialogue, great pacing, and amazing content. Absolutely recommend
