Owen by Melody Anne is book Three in the Undercover Billionaire Series. This is the story of Eden and Owen. This can be a standalone book I thought.
Eden and Owen where in a relationship with they were in their late teens. But then Owen up and left. But now about 10 years later they meet up again and the sparks are flying between. Eden was hurt a lot when Owen was left which leaves her with trust issues. There is a mystery that gives you some added drama to their story.
I am not sure I completely agreed with Owen's reason for leaving but I did enjoy their story!

I truly loved this book & to know that author Melody Anne made the character of Eden’s dad in the likeness of her own late father was so beautiful & touching. This second chance at love book between Eden & Owen was so heartbreaking & extremely emotional, the way they could feel each other’s presence. I love how the story has evolved through the series & it’s not just the return of Owen this book is about but the mysterious drug problem in their town & now the wild fires to cover up the evidence. This book grabs you & doesn’t let you go even when it’s finished. I very definitely recommend this book & the series as well. Looking forward to reading Declan’s book.

Solid 3.5 stars. I should start by saying I normally don’t dig second chance romances. But this is good. The characters themselves are relatable easy to understand, and definitely likable. The story had a little bit of everything, suspense, romance, sizzle, gotta love the sizzle but I felt some of the story lacked a little depth. Just wish one of the clima es and storylines would have gone into a little more detail so it felt like the main storyline direction. Will definitely get the other stories for the series

A wonderful second chance romance you won't forget! I didn't think this one was going to make me cry, but Eden's story gets to you. Owen left without a word when they were younger and now suddenly, he's back in town. The chemistry between these two is insane and I enjoyed their chemistry, even when Eden tried to fight it. The mystery of the arsonist will keep those pages turning til the end! Another great addition to the Undercover Billionaire series!

I want to say that I love Melody Anne books. Especially the Undercover Billionaire series, but I really felt this book was lacking the interaction between the characters. They were teen boyfriend/girlfriend. Swore they loved each other and then Owen just leaves. No reason why, and when you get the reason why there was no back story to support it. Eden never got over her first love, she just boxed up her emotions. I get that. But I felt something was missing between these 2 characters.

How did Eden stumble into this investigation that Declan was involved with, when there wasn't any information given until almost the very end of the book. Or what company does she work for that gets her out of an office job, and puts here into an arson investigation regarding the fires around the city.

It was very hard for me to stay focus on this book. It didn't get me swept up into the story like her first 2 books did. I couldn't put them down.

Heart pounding action, sweetly sexy thrills, undeniable passion and engaging emotional drama all make this heartwarming second chance romance a must read romantic adventure...... their journey started out as a long term child hood sweethearts romance until dangerous secrets shattered them apart..... can they really heal the past and survive the present to possibly have a future? Loved it!

3½ Star Review

I feel like my thoughts and feelings on this book are a double-edged sword. There were many things I loved about this book, but there are things that I didn't like about this book.

Overall, this book was everything. It has angst, suspense, a mystery, and a love story. That combination is rarely a dud in my book. This book is definitely not a dud. I was hooked, wanting to know the who and wanting the happy ever after to come. Melody had me turning the pages from start to finish.

These characters are so easy to like. There isn't a thing to not like about them. They are well written and easy to connect to. I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in this series.

This book brings plenty of action and heat. Some heartbreak. Some sweetness. Some suspense. Throwing in the wonderful characters, and this story is going to be enjoyed by many.

The downfall of this book for me... There was too much wallowing with the main characters. For me, it was overkill. This book could have been just as good, if not better, if some of the consistent wallowing of the characters had been at least cut in half. These continual scenes in this book felt like filler. They weren't all as necessary.

In a nutshell, this book is definitely a good read. It just wasn't a great read for me.

An emotional, suspenseful read that grabs you from page 1.
Eden and Owen were inseparable as young adults until they were. Second chances, a bond that wasn't severed but fear, timing and fate comes into play.
Fire 🔥 Heated romance

This is Owens book and let me tell you, I love it just as much as the others. This is a writing masterpiece that pulls you in and enthralls you. Page after page, from beginning to end this is a book all should read! Second chances and forgiveness, Owen is packed full of everything you love and expect from Melody Anne.

I loved the book!

Eden Skultz and Owen Forbes had dated all through high school. They made plans for the future so when Owen left without warning, Eden was devastated and heartbroken. Eden picked up the pieces and moved on with her life and Owen moved to New York City and became a firefighter where nobody knew his family. Ten years later when Edmond started to burn due to arson, Eden was hired to help the investigators and Owen was a firefighter fighting the fires.

The story is not a straight romance because the underlying mystery is figuring out who is burning the town and why and what the relationship is to Eden and Owen. Is the bad guy after Eden or Owen or both?

Owen by Melody Anne is the third book in the Undercover Billionaire and I fell reading the other stories first makes the series more enjoyable and sets up Declan’s story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Owen and Eden's story is a highly emotional one but in my opinion the best one yet. This book had me in tears more than once and I wanted to go into the pages and hug Eden so many times, but there was still lighthearted moments and a spark that made it a wonderful overall read. I am putting this one on my must read again list.

I have had the pleasure of reading many of Melody Anne's books and this by far is my favorite. It's heart-wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. The story of Owen and Eden is beautiful. Showing how family, friends and love stand strong even in the worst of times.
Absolute Perfection!

I have to say Melody Anne very pleasantly surprised me with this one. It has a little more angst and emotional times than most of her other books along with a bit of mystery and suspense. Eden and Owen are exceptional characters and I love them together. Even after ten years they have a strong connection and explosive chemistry.

Ten years ago Eden thought she and Owen would be together forever. Then suddenly he just disappears. No explanation or goodbye. Now he's back and although she wants to hate him for what he did she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him. Will they be able to work through the past while facing the troubles of the present?

I highly recommend this one.

I'm a huge Melody Anne fan and have read pretty much everything she's written to date. Her latest book, Owen however, was somewhat of a disappointment. While the writing was excellent, I just never felt any sort of connection to the main characters. The arsonist/drug dealers plot also seemed a bit farfetched. Overall the book seemed to plod along at a snails pace and just never really captured my interest.

Second chance romance is not really my thing, but this story is really sweet and entertaining. I could tell Owen and Eden were meant for each other, however he left town without so much as a goodbye when he was 19 and Eden was 17. They were young and in love, then why did he do that?

Fast forward ten years later, there's an arsonist in town. Owen is back and is now a firefighter helping to put down the flames that are spreading too fast. Eden is in charge of investigating who's behind all of the tragedy.
About Owen, Eden suddendly finds herself torn wondering if he's the same man she once loved, if her feelings for him are still strong, can they come back to what they were?

Overall I enjoyed it and some parts were really sad and VERY emotional. I recommend it! 4/5

PS. I really want Declan's book now!

*Thank you NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

Melody Anne is one of my favorite all time authors and I love everything she writes and I hate to say this but this is one of my least favorite book of hers I have read, it took me 2 weeks to read, it just didn’t hold my attention and seemed to repetitive to me.....it did have a great storyline but it just didn’t captivate me as much as all her other novels have ....sorry

I liked this story. Owen and Eden were childhood sweethearts. Owen broke her heart when he disappeared with no notice for 10 years. She keeps running into him and they almost get back together. The story gets waylaid with an arsonic that is trying to burn their town down, She's investigating and he's a suspect. She knows he couldn't have done it but it is her job. She takes a long time forgiving him for leaving and not telling her and she just keeps going over it. I like Melody Anne stories - this one was just not my favorite. I do look forward to Declan's

Owen is book 3 in the Undercover Billionaire Series and this is Owen and Eden’s story, this maybe part of a series but it certainly can be read as a stand-alone although I do believe you will get more out of this book if you have read the previous books.
Owen is a second chance love story but don’t make the mistake of thinking this is just a romance it’s not it’s full of romance, suspense with just the right mix of heartbreak and angst.
A second chance love story that’s well written, fast paced and easy to read book with characters you can’t help loving. Once again Melody Anne gives us another billionaire to fall in love with.
