I am still waiting for the next story to blew me away like it did the first book in the series. I liked Owen, he was ok interesting character with his priorities on the right track. I had problems with Melody, she was like bipolar sometimes she wanted to be strong but was far from it. I got the feeling that she didn't want to move forward from the past and she wouldn't move to the next stage of mourning. The story has an interesting plot with finding out the arsonist and the reason why. I really hope that the last book will be icing on the cake and to end this series spectacular.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

We have met Owen and Eden in the previous books of the series and as you know they have a past. I have been waiting for their story and now it has come to fruition. 10 years ago, Owen home and Eden without so much as a goodbye. Now he is back home to stay and to get his girl back. Eden wants nothing more than to keep moving on with her life and ignore Owen. We all know what happens when you fight fate. Fate will come back fighting with a vengeance to show you what is meant to be. All the while, there is a darkness in their small town threatening them with fires and death. Owen and Eden are working on finding out who is starting those fires, but their personal business could get in the way. With Eden determined to keep everyone at arm’s length, Owen is fighting hard to make her see he is not leaving again.
I love Owen and how he cares about those he loves and will do anything for them. When those Forbes’ fall in love they do so hard and there is no going back for them. Eden, Eden, Eden, I am just at a lost about her character. She was stubborn, and her thought process tended to overload even my mind. I didn’t understand what she needed to think about but who knows what goes on in other people heads even if you are reading about it. Eden is a strong woman, but she didn’t want to lean on her friends and family when it counted the most. That there was what I did not like about her and that was her character flaw. It is a quick read nothing too long winded except they tended to be in their head most of the dialogue. I love the suspense and there are still some unanswered questions that I will hope gets answered in Declan’s story. If you are a fan of romance, suspense, the Forbes’ and Melody Anne then come read about this billionaire family. They will have you hooked like all her other books. You do not want to miss Owen and his family.
AWESOME!! You know your reading a great story when the words written can make you feel the characters pain and hurt but also their souls. That's what this story did for me. I felt it all and really connected with Owen and Eden. This story will keep you on your toes with suspense but will also have you reaching for your tissues. It also is romantic and sexy and even had me laughing out loud at points. I also loved seeing and getting to visit old friends like Uncle Sherman again. I haven't read a story in a while that touched me as much as this one did. This will be at the top of my list to re-read because I can't get enough of it.
Owen and Eden's story took me a little bit to get into. I honestly wasn't sure I liked Eden much. She does grow on me and as the book develops you understand her a little more and her behavior makes more sense. I have enjoyed this series quite a bit because I like the mystery that is sort of developing throughout the last book and this one.
Owen is not only wealthy but a firefighter as well. Currentky battling wild fires. Eden a past high school sweetheart investigating the fire for possible arson.
I liked Owen as a character and I thought Owen and Eden worked well together, once they of course worked through the issues. He was romantic and sweet and very passionate. I am most definitely looking forward to reading the next in the series. It does leave you hanging a bit on the secondary story line.
I felt connecting to the characters although connecting with Eden took longer the story flowed well and the writing is always good.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
Owen was subpar compared to the others in this popular Melody Anne series. I felt like the plot was a bit over the top - who still pines for someone ten years later?. The suspense with the fires was good, but overall a miss for me.
So good. I love the mystery and suspense aspect of this book. Owen and Eden’s history is complicated. Eden has lost a lot in life and she isn’t willing to lose more so she has some huge walls set up. Owen is determined to break them down. Add in fire and death and this book will keep you turning the pages. Can’t wait for Declan’s book.
Owen made some bad decisions that he felt were right at the time. Those decisions destroyed his chance at love. Now ten years later he has a second chance. Not only are Owen and Eden fighting to get back what they lost but they are also up against an arsonist trying to destroy them both.
What a fantastic read!
I love Melody Anne as an author and this book did not disappoint. Owen and Eden were such a sweet couple that had to overcome many hurdles to get over years of absence in their lives.
Tragedy after trashed strikes the pair years later, but with that brings a whole new light to their relationship.
Can’t wait for the next book!
If you love Melody Anne’s books; you’ll love Owen.
Owen by Melody Anne was a quick and easy to read steamy romance. I enjoyed reading about the characters and finished this book within a couple of hours, but I couldn't really connect to Eden or Owen. I found the storyline engaging, as I love a little bit of mystery and suspense, but it felt like an odd mix of a romance and crime novel with lots of sex scenes. It was a good enough novel to enjoy for a few hours but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. If you're looking for a really easy to read romance with steamy scenes and firefighters with crime, this book is for you.
Eden and Owen were madly in love with one another, till one day Owen suddenly left town without so much as a goodbye, breaking Edens heart.
Now 10 years he is back for good as the new firefighter on the force. Despite not knowing the reason why he left town, Eden can’t deny the connection she shares with Owen, even though she is not sure she can’t trust him not to break her heart again.
With an arsonist creating havoc with their town and targeting them, Eden has to make some decisions, fast.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is a wonderful blend of suspense, emotions, drama and romance. The connection between Owen and Eden was wonderful at times and heart wrenching at others, an enjoyable read nonetheless. I look forward to reading Declan’s story next.
OWEN by Melody Anne is a suspenseful dramatic story. With old loved getting a second chance. Out of control fires with an arsonist on the loose. The story did leave some unanswered questions, we'll have to wait for the next story for the answers.
Owen, written by Melody Anne, is the third book in the Undercover Billionaire series. I have read and enjoyed the two previous books. If you haven't read the two previous books, Owen can be interpreted as a standalone, but you will get more enjoyment by reading Kian and Arden first. Owen is a second chance love story packed full of suspense, romance, heartbreak and of course angst. This book is well written, and the characters are well developed and for the most part easy to like.
This book is Owen and Eden’s story. Owen left Eden with no explanation right after high school and then returns ten years later consumed with winning her heart back. Owen’s character is strong, ruggedly handsome and very tenacious when it comes to Eden. I was not thrilled that he dumped Eden with no explanation, although the author does give a somewhat plausible explanation. I did like Eden, but at times she was just a tad too whiny for my taste. She was struggling with abandonment issues, and I do get that Owen hurt her badly. I felt that the author spent too much time in Eden’s head, telling the reader over and over again about how hurt, rejected, discarded and jilted she felt.
There were aspects of the storyline that I enjoy, the push and pulled between the two main characters. The firefighter theme combined with the mystery of who and why the fires were being set did keep me reading. There is an underlying plot twist that connects the two previous book and hopefully will be further explained in the next book. But unfortunately somethings didn't add up for me, the big one being why is Eden, who works for a law firm, investigating the fires? And why were Owen and his brother suspects? That just didn't add up for me.
Overall I did enjoy this book, but not my favorite in the series. I am looking forward to the reading Declan’s story and learning a little more about the man on the hill.
***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This review is my honest opinion .***
A big thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series and I have not read the others. This is number 3. I am on the fence with this book. The Prologue and chapter 1 have a different vibe then the rest of the book. I just couldn't get over the fact that he leaves without a word without a good explanation and she jumps him the first chance she gets basically. Her dad does while she is having sex with Owen...wow guilt complex!! then the book changes. I never connected with Eden, and there were things I didn't understand that were maybe explained elsewhere. Overall an interesting read I guess.... I just am not sure. I know many will enjoy this but I felt it was forced and my feelings for Eden didn't help. I rate this a 3.5
Second chance romances are always a joy to read and this book is no exception. The writing was a treat and the characters were lovely. Owen left town and Eden behind ten years ago. He's now back in town and the feelings they had for one another are still there. I loved that the book had a mystery and crime plot as well. It added to the suspense of the story while you're rooting for Owen and Eden to just work things out.
So many tears and emotions in this one! So good.

Melody Anne has always struck me as a true romance writer. She writes books with little angst and a whole lot of feel good storylines.
Owen is a little bit different from what she normally writes. This book was full of emotions, heartbreak, deep love, and even a bit of suspense and mystery. Not to mention the hot connection between Eden and Owen. Now that is steamy!
I absolutely love these two together. I love the way the author chose to open the story and write the story. So different – it as looking peeking into someone’s heart and soul at times. I had so many emotions with this story. Lots of tears and some smiles too.
This story is a 5 star winner all the way around. I absolutely loved and connected with both characters and the plot was intriguing and so engaging. The secondary characters were awesome too.
Would I recommend reading the other books first? Maybe, but I fell in love with this series and Owen all on its own, so you be the judge. Me? I am grabbing the others in the series too so I can catch up and get all of the back story!
Melody Anne is fierce when it comes to family. Whether it be touching our hearts with the Andersen clan or tempting the senses with the Forbes brood, love and loyalty play a key role. Like every other Anne enthusiast I adore the Andersens, but I have to say I'm in awe of these bad boy Forbes brothers. They prove that no family is perfect, but love can make it through even the toughest of situations. Owen is a tale of broken hearts, hidden agendas and second chances. Young love morphs into adult suspicion and two hearts may never be the same. Haunted by heartache. Stalked by danger. Can the boy that ran away reclaim the life he left behind? Eden and Owen are a force to be reckoned with.
Brilliant. Loved this book and I am loving the series and it is great to see the other characters brought in. Totally recommend.
Outstanding book! Hot! Hot! Hot!
Book three is about Owen and Eden's love for one another. They were high school sweethearts but unfortunately went their separate ways. Until one day Owen came back home. Will they be able to amend things or is it too late. Must read this amazing book.
I voluntarily received an ARC from Net Galley for a honest review.
I love the Forbes brothers and Owen did not disappoint. This story was all about second chances and of course there was some suspense!
Right now, in this moment, life was perfect. She couldn’t image that would all change in the blink of an eye.
Owen and Eden were high school sweethearts, until Owen left without a word and left Eden heartbroken. Though neither of them ever got over each other. Living in the same small town again after 10 years, it is hard to stay away from the one person you truly care about. Eden has experienced a lot of loss and pain throughout her life and letting one of those people who left her back in is not easy, but Owen isn’t willing to give up on her.
This is book three in Melody Anne’s Billionaires Undercover series, so of course we got more of the other Forbes’s family members, which I absolutely love. There is a fire destroying the entire city and someone is behind it, though no one knows who. It definitely adds a suspenseful element to the romance.
She truly was a ray of sunshine in a hell of a lot of darkness.
I loved watching these two find each other again. Owen thought he was doing the right thing when he left town ten years ago, but I love that he was willing to do anything to prove to Eden that he made a mistake and that he still loves her. I loved that eventually Eden was able to come to terms with everything that had happened in her life and open up again.
I can’t wait for the fourth book in the series, the ending of this one definitely left me wanting more and wanting to know more about the mysterious Forbes brother, Declan.
I really liked this book. It was engaging and made me care about the characters. I am not sure why the title is Owen when most of the story was about Eden. Well, anyway, it is a story i would recommend.
