Great book, I really enjoyed it a lot. Owen and Eden relationship has been on again off again but the emotions have you feeling so much until you can't put it down. Very addicting.

Owen is a whole is a ok book the grammar, spelling, basic flow of the story are typical of a romance book. The story starts off with a quick background, than sex scene the drama that pulls the characters apart and than fast forward to the present. Everything fits will in your typical romance expect for the face this reader felt lost several times. Readers are giving a time line but many times the author blurs that time line or maybe its the age of the characters either way readers might find themselves a little lost. Melody Anne has throwaway characters as well as Characters from other books in her series. (One of which I read.)

When Eden and Owen are not having sex or thinking about sex the story has lots of suspense, emotions that are a little fake at times but give readers are good idea of why certain characters act certain ways.

I gave the author an additional half because it is number 3 in a series things that ate mention in this book might have been taken care of in book's 1 and 2. Although it didn't feel that way. I would say this author wanted to create a stand alone novel but fails to do so.

At the end of the book the author gives readers an idea of what happened in the authors personal life that influenced a change in the story line. That helped this review understand why at times the story felt disjointed.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Montlake Romance for the advance copy of Melody Anne's Owen.

This book was both wonderful and hard for me to read. The story revolves around fire, which is hard for me to read and think about. It shows how unpredictable and devastating it can be. Owen is a firefighter, which is part of why fire has such a huge impact. Eden and Owen had a history that ended in Eden’s heart break. Their journey back together wasn’t an easy one, but it made for a great read. This book is the third in the series, and I’m hoping that the fourth book will finally give us a conclusion to the overarching storyline that began in the first book. While the love story stands on its own, readers will get more out of this book if they’ve read the other two.

Owen and Edens story was so full of raw emotion, it just rolls off the page. Eden and Owen have history, he left for reasons Eden isn't aware of, but they find themselves back in the town she never left, but he's an firefighter, taking on the fire threatening their town, but other forces are working in the background too for a twist. In all intrigue, shock, emotion, and a love so deep you want to find out what happens.

Melody Anne is a good writer of family, love, connection, second chances, pain, loss and happy ever after. This one is definitely a story of second chances between Eden Skultz and Owen Forbes. They knew each as teenagers and promised their undying love to one another until Owen left without looking back or with any explanation as to why. Now he’s back in town looking better than ever and Eden still doesn’t know why he left or why he’s back. However, she has a job to do, she is investigating Owen regarding the fires that are nearly taking out their town. She is trying to keep it professional until the bad guys start coming after her and Owen. Then things really get interesting between them.

For the most part I enjoyed this story. The author did a great job balancing the roles of the hero and heroine without one overshadowing the other. It was clear that Owen was so sorry about how he left and understood why he could have handled things differently. While Eden was hurt by his behavior her character wasn’t written in such a way that her anger was over the top. They were both very mature in the way they approached that particular hot topic. I enjoyed the interaction of Owen’s family in the story. This adds some fun humor which family can sometimes bring.

The part of the story that had me stumped was the fact that there didn’t seem to be any reason why Owen or his brother, Declan would be investigated as to being possible suspects in starting the fires. This wasn’t made clear to me in this plot of the story. It felt like Eden just decided they might be guilty and so Owen was put on leave while she looked into the situation. I did enjoy getting to know these characters.

I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Another winner! I loved Owen and Eden's story in this second chance romance. Owen and Eden had been in love when they were teens when Owen disappeared without a word and stayed gone for ten years. His disappearance gutted Eden and she never completely got over him. Then a series of difficult events leaves her even more off balance when she is then forced to work with Owen....but Owen has his own demons in his past.

I loved the characters and their histories and loved the way they interacted together. This is an engaging story that grabbed me from the very first page and kept me engaged until the very last page. It is a fast paced romantic suspense that fans of the genre will love. Put this one at the top of your TBR list. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, the series is so good that you really owe to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.
