Loved how strong the lead female character Lola was and how she stood up to Rodrigo for what she wanted. It mentions the other two books in the series and makes you want to read their stories.
Lola, spurned by her boss , has not told him that she is pregnant with his child. After he insists on a paternity test and discovers the child is his, he is determined to bring up the child. So begins the story of Lola, who is determined not to be fooled twice, and Rodrigo, who believes women only want him for what they can get, born out of his previous relationship failures. His PA seems to weave in and around all the story until, at the end, her deviousness is exposed.
Sweet and short to read with no major upsets. Good to while away a couple of hours.
"Lola Price didn’t dare tell Rodrigo Cabrera she was pregnant after he spurned her. But now he’s discovered her secret he’s determined his child will take his name! Whilst their mutual desire in the marriage bed is undeniable, Rodrigo keeps himself at a distance. Yet fiery Lola won’t be pushed away again. She’ll show Rodrigo that their son and their relationship are worth fighting for!!"
Another unputdownable book from Mills and Boon and very well written. At first I found the character of Rodrigo a bit off putting, but as the relationship developed I found myself liking him more. I ended up enjoying this book, and would recommend as well worth buying. Enjoy!
Lola was ruthlessly spurned by Rodrigo. She flees to New York without telling him she is pregnant. When they meet again, Rodrigo is stunned to learn he is a father. He insists they get married after a paternity test is done.
I loved that Lola was feisty and did stand up to him, to the best of her ability. We are taken back to the hero an heroines past. Which helps the readers lean how the characters ended up as they are.. The passion between the hero & heroine is intense. Add in an adorable baby, a scheming Personal Assistant secretly obsessed with her boss, one who is determined to have her boss to herself. This book will draw you in. Loved the ending. ARC received from net galley as part of Mills & Boon insiders. This is my voluntary review.
Rodrigo is a rich insecure man who believes women only love him for what he can get them and not for his personality including LOLA who loves him but felt betrayed by his accusations. This book contain suspense, romance and happily ever after. I couldn't put the book down..
The Baby The Billionaire Demands is the latest Mills & Boon Modern romance written by Jennie Lucas. Lola Price had a poor upbringing and lost custody and contact with her sisters. She has always vowed never to be poor again and travelled to LA to become an actress. As they s down don't work out she became an assistant, then lover to Rodrigo Cabrera. Before she could tell him m she was pregnant he threw her out with a cheque for a million dollars as he had been sent photos of her when she was 18. There meet accidentally at a party in New York and he realises her baby is his. They marry but a handsome young man keeps pestering her, then her ex boss from NYC turns up to save her. Will Rodrigo realise that Lola has been set up just like his ex fiancées or will he lose Lola and their baby?
I enjoyed this book. Read it in one sitting. I didn't anticipate the ending - his assistant Marnie Mcadams was the individual interfering in their lives. Th characters were well thought out as was the storyline.
