Unfortunately I have read books with a similar storyline that were much better, this just didn't cut it for me I'm afraid.

Drew me right in a tense psychological thriller characters really well written looking forward to reading more by this author,#netgalley #harperimpulseandread.

Click by L Smyth shows the scary side of the online world, in particular social media. Do you really know who you are talking to? This was a quick read but I did find at times the story was a bit drawn out. I had an idea of what the secret was fairly early on - not exactly but I was in the right area. I enjoyed this book but I expected a but more from the story.

Eva is starting university and wants a fresh start. She is desperate for real friends and a new life. But this is harder than it sounds for her and soon finds herself online stalking her classmates. She feels herself drawn to Marina in particular. She becomes obsessed with her and is determined to become friends with her. But Marina is not all that she seems online and their friendship only lasts a few months. But she will spend the rest of her life suffering from it.

I enjoyed this book, found it to be a well developed story with good characters although I didn't find it to be an edge of seat psychological thriller which I thought it would be but all in all it was a good read.

I was really pleased to be able to read this book as it was on my list of newly published reads of 2019. It's the story of Eva Hutchings, who once starting at University sees the Facebook page of another student Marina Bede. Marina's life seems more interesting than Eva's so she sets out to find Marina and become her friend. But Marina is not all she seems and the friendship ends in devestating consequences.
It definitely hooks you in and there are lots of likeable and unlikeable characters. The story flows really well and WOW- the mystery surrounding Marina and her father, the professor and Henry is quite shocking. I never guessed it.
I loved it and hope there will be more by this author.

This story made me realize how smart I was closing my Facebook account! For some reason I find social media depressing and CLICK definitely resonated with me on that subject.
As far as the book is concerned, it's well-written and suspensful, but I disliked the protagonist, Eva. She obviously has mental problems and very low self-esteem. Her obsession with Marina is pathetic, especially because Marina is an opionated, cold girl who seems to feel herself above the rest of humanity. Their 'friendship' only comprises three months, but the repercussions last a lifetime for Eva.
In my opinion most readers will find this an exciting read, but I am in two minds about it, that's why I can only give it 3 stars.

An excellent theiller that draws you in and doesn't let go. Highly recommended ! I especially enjoyed the description of the characters, all of which were fascinating in their own way.

I enjoyed reading this book. It had a good story to it. I liked the variety of characters in it. It is my first book read by this author. I hope to read more books by this author.

A good and interesting story for the digital age. Well written and and enjoyable at parts but I though there was a lot of unnecessary information and I found myself getting bored at times
