This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended
Thoroughly enjoyed this unputtable down thriller featuring D.I. Fawley who has to solve the case of the fire in which two children are discovered, one dead and one fighting for his life.
Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book
I was a bit slow off the mark downloading this, and it was archived before I got the chance, so I bought a copy to review.
I'm fond of a short story - great for those snatched moments of time - and I really enjoyed this collection. I felt this was a nice mix and that it worked well.
Thank you for approving my request to review, and apologies for not taking you up on the offer.
I’ve been a fan of the author for a long time. This collection of stories is in keeping with her style and are thoroughly enjoyable. I was a little apprehensive about short stories at first and worried i’d be left wanting more but I needn’t have worried.
I really enjoyed this book. It was brilliantly written with a great cast of characters and intriguing plot that kept me turning the pages. Perfect read to escape from day to day life. A great read.
An engrossing collection of short stories to dip in and out of.
Worth trying.
A netgalley arc.
I am not usually fond of reading a collection of short stories and wasn't certain whether this would be a book that i would enjoy. So glad that i did choose this book to read, as i very much enjoyed the stories. Well written. I hope to read more books by this author. Recommended.
My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers. This is my honest review.
I am very happy to have read this collection of short stories by Sheila O'Flanagan! I read in the past a book from the author which left me a strong impression, I remember that I absolutely loved it. So I was excited to read those short stories. Usually I am not very attracted to short stories but I was willing to give this book a try. And I am so happy that I did! Every single of those short stories was excellent and powerful. For every story, it was like taking a peak in someone's life. I really loved it. Also all the stories take place in Dublin, Ireland. And they all have in common the "Dart" this commute train that pass by Dublin. In every stories you have a mention to the Dart. I thought it was nice to have a common thing between all the stories. I really recommend this book, you will enjoy it for sure!!!!
I usually love all of Sheila O’Flanagans books but unfortunately I struggled with The Moment We Meet. I think as it was a collection of story stories it wasn’t enough to hold my attention and I became bored.
Was unable to read on from the third chapter as I had lost interest.
Perfect book for those who just grab a few short moments. A diverse range of short stories from a fabulous author.
Thanks to netgalley for an early copy in return for an honest review
FABULOUS short stories for reading on the go can highly recommend this book to friends and family
Modern day version of Tales of the Unexpected, when you start a story you have no idea where it's going and the end is often a surprise. Pleasant, easy read and because the stories are short good to pick up and put down when time is limited
With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a collection of stories which have been updated and work well as a collection of short stories, some sad, some funny but all written in Sheila Flanagan ‘s own style.
I am a fan of the author and enjoy her books for the humour and realistic look on life. This collection is easy read and ideal for a lazy weekend.
Highly recommended.
A collection of short stories from Sheila O'Flanagan - each a thoughtful piece, well written and well rounded with credible characterisation. This author rarely disappoints and this collection is no exception. A lovely read - perfect for a holiday dip.
Sheila OFlanagan is a wonderful writer, I have read all her books and enjoyed every single one. This is another collection of short stories written in her usual descriptive style with new characters and situations to get to know. Loved it!
I have to admit this is the first book I have read by Sheila O'Flanagan and won't be the last. A really enjoyable read. Hreat storyline and characters. I wizzed through this quickly. I would definitely reccommend this to others. I can't wait to read some of her others.
