Ella has a simple life- work, cycle, home, sleep. Until she is in an accident and when she wakes up from the coma the nurse tells her how lucky she is to have such a wonderful husband. Ella is in shock as she isn’t married so who is this man.

Oh my god! As a huge fan of Samantha’s books I was so excited to read this andthis was so gripping and darker than the last one. Of course that page where the twist comes is a shocker! Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review,

Just love Samantha Hayes, gripping from the start with plenty of twists. I particularly liked the chapters relating to the past then to the present and the different characters were brilliant, they soon got me involved in the storyline.

Overall this book was a gripping page turner, extremely well written with a brilliant ending, an excellent twist and well worthy of five stars, if not more.

Can thoroughly recommend this book and thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read this excellent book.

Well wow this was a book that had me hooked after the first few pages and I was intrigued how the whole story was going to pan out as it just got more and more insane and compulsive as it progressed. Heart pounding suspense, manipulation, lies and control is the name of the game and it makes the novel a real unputdownable page turner. A very well recommended psychological thriller that really deserves 4+ and my thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I struggled with this book so much. The premise was a bit out there - a single woman wakes up in a hospital and bam! A man claiming to be her husband is by her bedside and has convinced everyone they are married. You'd think the injured woman would shout from the rafters that he's not her husband. But she doesn't. The "why not" is the plotline for the book.

Once Ella goes home with Jacob the crazy really starts to happen. There are too many spoilers in this book to make a decent review plausible, so I need to leave it there for now. The reason I struggled to finish this book is because of all the implausible things that happens to Ella once she goes home with "her husband." It was a bit farfetched to me.

Thank you to Netgalley for an arc of this book for an honest opinion of the work

Another suspenseful and gripping read from the author of The Reunion.

Ella likes to keep herself to herself and avoids socializing. Work, home, sleep… that’s her routine. You see, Ella is hiding an awful secret. She has done something horrible 10 years ago, which if exposed, her life would be over.
Guilt-ridden and fearful, she lives her dreary and reclusive life, until one night she has a terrible accident riding her bicycle home from work.
She wakes up in a hospital, woozy and broken and is told her handsome and loving husband would be coming soon to visit. Then she notices a wedding ring on her finger. But she has never been married.
Who is the man who claims to be Ella’s husband? Does he know her secret? And how could Ella free herself from the evil shadow looming over her?

Thanks to Samantha Hayes, Bookouture and the NetGalley for an advanced copy.

Ella wakes up in Hospital after a hit and run accident. A nurse tells her that her husband has visited her every day and will be pleased to see her awake at last. This confuses Ella though as she has never been married and has been alone her whole life.
When she sees the man who is claiming to be her husband she is terrified and when she is discharged she has to go home with him fearing for her life.
Alternating between the present and the past the story is easy to follow, a few parts seemed a bit far fetched but I still enjoyed the book.
Many thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The Liars Wife is a psychological thriller that has you gripped, it started off really well but it did drag on half way through.

3.5 stars.

I liked this book, but I didn't think it was her best. I felt that this book started out really interesting and I was hooked but then it kind of turned into a kidnapping/hostage situation and those aren't my favorite kind of stories. I grew a little bit bored with it. Even the flashbacks weren't overly interesting to me. I thought the twist at the end was good but not as earth shattering as it should have been for all of the build up. This is a well written book though and I am still a fan. I look forward to reading her next book.

When Ella wakes up in a hospital following a hit-and-run incident, she is scared and confused. Close to tears, the nurse reassures her that her loving husband will be back soon... But Ella has never been married. In fact, she has lived alone her whole adult life; working hard, rarely socialising, quietly harbouring a terrible secret from her past.

Fear sweeps through Ella when she instantly recognises the man who enters the ward. He is not her husband, but she knows that she must do as he says and play the part of dutiful wife. What choice does she have? He was there the night of the fire, he knows her secret too…

This is the book I've been waiting for! Fast paced and full of secrets. I live for these types of books and The Liar's Wife by Samantha Hayes did not disappoint! I loved this book!

Imagine waking up in a hospital. Pretty scary, huh? Now imagine waking up in a hospital and finding that you’re married... and you don’t know your spouse. So the action begins after we’ve met our main character and think we know all about her. Unraveling the past and present keeps the story moving in this psychological thriller.

I loved The Reunion so I was excited to read this one. Alternating between the present and the past, the novel focusses on Ella, a fairly reclusive young woman who literally goes to work, home, and sleep and rarely socializes. One night after a biking accident, she awakens in the hospital with a card from her husband. But the catch is she's never been married. And so begins the search for the truth...some Ella can't remember--or doesn't want to--and some that reveal the deep-seated fears she has about a night that ended in tragedy. Family secrets, nosy neighbors, and a co-worker desperate to connect with her, are all elements that create tension in this creepy yet completely satisfying read!

Thank you to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC. Samantha Hayes has never let me down before but this one failed to reel me in. Am I getting harder and harder to please, thriller wise? Because yet another book with raving reviews from a reliable author whose writing is always spectacular failed to capture me. There was nothing short with the writing with this one at all, Hayes continues to be at the top of her game. But I couldn’t get invested in the characters and I couldn’t sit long with it. It may have been a little too slow building for me to latch. But please, do not take my word for it. Hayes is an incredible author and I would recommend her any day, this one was just not for me.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this book.
Ella cycles to and from work everyday. She is a bit of a loner and doesn't socialise with the other staff from her office. She doesn't seem to have a life outside work really. But there's something about her that's intriguing Liam from her office and he's attracted. Ella gets knocked down on her way home from work and wakes up in hospital. All of a sudden she has a husband she doesn't recognise who seems to adore her and can't wait to bring her home to their new house she's never seen! Read on for a magnificent twist!!
O boy Samantha Hayes you've done it again. Brilliant!!

When we first get to meet Ella, she comes across as a bit of a recluse. It's as if something is holding her back from socialising with her work mates. There is obviously something that is holding her back so was very intrigued as to just what that was.

When she wakes up in hospital to a man claiming to be her husband well my inner sensors were going haywire. My intrigue shot up a level and was desperate to know more about this man.

The further into the book I got the more hooked I became. I ended up reading it in one evening as just couldn't tear myself away no matter how hard I tried. Married life for Ella really makes for some seriously surprising reading with more than a couple of what the? moments.

The Liar's Wife is a seriously compulsive read that you won't want to put down. It was an addictive read that I couldn't get enough of and the build up of tension was just off the scale. You know how great a book is when your heart is still racing hours after finishing the book as the adrenaline was still coursing through my body. Compulsive, addictive, what more do you need from a psychological thriller?

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review -
OMG this was one of the best psychological thrillers I have read!
The ending will shock you!
Everyones going to the pub after work but Ell doesn't want to go so she hops on her bike to head home -
An accident happens and she finds herself in the hospital with no memory or what happen.
They say her husband has been there every day - Who is he? Is she married?
This is a must read!

This is a strange book to review, the beginning started off fast paced and gripping, with Ella's accident then the middle was a bit long winded, it felt quite sluggish with the narrative being mainly between Ella and Jacob - even the flash backs felt laboured with too many red herrings to try and lead the reader away from the twist at the end... then the ending was just weird.

With so many psychological thrillers out there at the moment, this didn't really hold my attention like some of the other's I have read recently. -I'm sure other readers will enjoy this story, but it just didn't float my boat.
