Hayes should be arrested because it should be a crime to write a book this good! And while I’m at it - it should be a crime if you don’t read it!

The Liar’s Wife is salacious tale that is a new addition to my “favorites” list. Yes friends - it’s that f’ing good! As the story unfolds you are drawn in like a moth to a flame by it’s lurid, lewd lines that just leave you lingering for more! The Liar’s Wife leaves you feeling satisfied, glutted and worn. Samantha Hayes is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. 5+ stars for the Lair’s Wife

For me this book sounded okay, however it really didn't live up to expectations. It was a bit dull and bland, felt something i had read before not sure what though. Bit predictable as well.

I am providing honest feedback as I received the complimentary copy from NetGalley.

This has been my first book from the author and it has been very interesting read. Its fast paced and characters are well etched out.

Ella lives a lonely life ans her motto is work home sleep. She meets an accident one day and wakes up in hospital only to realize she has a husband . Her nightmare begins from then on.
The story moves between past and present and walks through how Ella was 10 years before and how she deals with her present situation .
Overall one of the best books I have recently.

Will read from this author again.

Ella's life is one of blending in and not drawing any attention to herself. She is hiding from her past working as a film editor. When she wakes up in the hospital after an accident a man claiming to be her husband takes control of her life. She recognizes him and goes along because he knows her secret past. I think Ella was week and could have spoken up with the doctors and nurses. She was a little wimpy. A pretty good thriller. I did like the writing style of Ella reminiscing and flashing back to reveal her past. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I have mixed feelings on this.

I enjoyed the sinister premise and the way the tension tightened chapter by chapter. I felt empathy for the main character and her physical and emotional plights touched me. Especially as I read this with a broken limb and understood the fear and frustration of not being able to be as self sufficient as normal.

Now I’m treading softly here as I’m avoiding spoilers. But, I had doubts about why the character allowed events to continue. She had ample opportunity to talk up. I know the reason implied, I just didn’t buy it. The consequences she endured were far worse than than what would have happened if she looked for help.

That aside, I loved working out what happened ten years ago. And thought it was a worthwhile read, even though I’m criticising part of it.

I did enjoy the premise, however I did find this predictable which made the rest of the book disappointing.

A good plot that is aimed to keep you guessing on a number of fronts. I can’t say I’m wholly surprised with the ending and I guess a little disappointed with it. It the story was written well and kept me reading and wanting more. There are gaps though in this plot about motives and escapes not to mention the ending requiring a change of heart with no real detail explanation more of a piece to move around to make the story fit.
The pace of this book was great and I did enjoy the back and forth from present day to 10yrs prior, it worked well for this story and was clear in the timeline jumps.
Definitely worth a read but don’t expect a modern classic

The first half of the novel dragged for me. It was slowly paced and the plot seemed utterly unoriginal. There are several other thrillers out now that have the same theme of woman wakes up from a coma to discover she has a husband whom she never met. Therefore, it was difficult connecting to Ella. The ending finally got exciting only to close itself off too quickly -- so the big twist landed flat. Who was really driving the van? Who was and what ever happened to creepy Ethan? There are so many strands that have never been fully developed and flushed out. It read very unfinished.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. If you like a twisty turny drama of a thriller, then this is for you!

Thankyou to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author, Samantha Hayes, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of The Liar's Wife in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought this book was well thought out and written. It is a good example of what a quality psychological thriller should be like. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep you engrossed. I don't know why I tried to guess the ending as I have never been able to with other books by this author.
Worth a read.

I’m a huge fan of Samantha Hayes’ books, and this one is no different. With tons of twists and turns, it will keep you guessing! I thought I had it figured out so many times, but I only got it shortly before it was revealed. Like many of her books, this one deals with sensitive subject matter and so I would hesitate to recommend it to people whose reading habits I’m not overly familiar with. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for her next one!

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

I definitely like The Reunion by Samantha Hayes better but this was still a decent read. It does keep your attention but I feel like there were some parts that were not totally believable to me. However, definitely an interesting story and had me wondering how it would all turn out....

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC ecopy for my Kindle.
Ella has an mundane life- work, eat, sleep, and repeat. She seems a little edgy and doesn't like to socialize at work or after work. Her life changes when she is bicycling home and is hit by a van- hit and run. When she wakes up in the hospital, there's a man in her room claiming to be her husband but she knows she's never been married.
A good psychological thriller with a surprise ending. Enjoyed the book except for the profanity.

Ella has been living a perfectly happy life, alone, with minimal interactions with people. She remains civil at work while avoiding all social interaction.

One day, on her way back from work, she is hit by a van and finds herself in the hospital. Not only is she in the hospital, she also seems to have obtained a husband! A very caring and loving husband too, from the look of things. The nurses can't seem to stop singing his praises.

Her past has finally caught up on her. She knows that all she can do is go along with the pretense. She has no choice. He knows the secret she has hidden away...

An absolutely gripping thriller. You don't realise until the end what this is all about. Absolutely loved this book.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the review copy of this book.

This is such a good psychological thriller which is emotional and intense. It’s a bit of a slow burner but it definitely kept me engaged. I was desperate to know who this mysterious guy was and what secret was worth all of this. I also needed to know if and how Ella was going to get herself out of this mess when her leg is extremely broken and in a full cast.

Some parts are a tad unbelievable but they didn’t ruin the reading experience. I was convinced that I had it all worked out but I really didn’t. The ending was a bit disappointing though as it was just wrapped up so quickly especially considering the tense build up.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone looking for a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing.

Major twist at the end!! I read a lot of these kind of books... and I did not see that coming at all! The Liars Wife by Samantha Hayes was a fast paced story with some crazy characters! I enjoyed reading this. I will say there were quite a few parts of the plot were a bit over the top and unbelievable. Didn't affect my overall opinion of the book though.

Thanks #netgalley for the copy!!

Creepy but I had a hard time getting into it. There were some decent twists but the book wasn't really my cup of tea. A bit too early and gross.

I loved the premise of this book! It took off quickly which I love, the characters were easy to get to know so feeling for the main protagonist was easily enough done. Read in two sittings as I had to know what would happen next! Will recommend to all my friends that love domestic thrillers. Thank you Netgalley for my advanced copy!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I loved the sound of the premise but for me it fell a little short. I did not like Ella not even a little bit and her whole situation just irked me.

Full of twists and turns, quite the thriller! I felt the ending was rushed, but overall the book kept me guessing!!
