This is a really strong book that covers a topic that we all will face but no one really wants to: death. I loved how poignant this book felt and how beautiful it is.

Two Become One by R Lodge and B Swinyard is a brilliant, bewitching collection of poems with themes of love, openness, resilience, and hope. Many of these poems sparkle with Rumi-esque wisdom, whilst others are full rich in philosophy. A few call to mind cheesy love poetry, but in a good way, that brings a goofy smile. My favourites tended to be the more philosophical ones. This is a wonderful choice for poems to marinate upon and revisit often. They will invigorate and uplift. Equally, they will invite the reader to slow down and find new insight. Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to two UK charities that focus on medical research- the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Sarcoma UK. Highly recommended! I've ordered my own hardcopy.

Two Become One is an interesting collection. The poetry and art are beautiful but felt somewhat disjointed in some parts. The poetry could become rather repetitive in some instances but was overall a very enjoyable book.

While somewhat repetitive, this was a book that found me when I needed a book exactly like this one. I recommend it to you, especially if you read it a bite at a time.

I received this book from NetGalley for free.

What do you do when your entire world falls apart and the doctors tell you that you are going to die?

This inspirational book draws together many of the fundamental questions of humanity that face us all, at one time or another. What is the meaning of my life? How can I go on? Why is this happening to me? The fusion of poetry and images in this beautiful book addresses all aspects of being human in a loving, gentle manner. It focuses on life, love, dignity and the search for truth and meaning. It speaks of life’s rich journey and lives well lived, with the added poignancy and acute observation granted to people facing terminal illness themselves.
Distilled from the combined experience of observing and caring for people at times of great joy, distress or hurt in their lives, this book offers hope and guidance to those in need, to those who are lost or for whom life has lost its meaning. This is a celebration of that journey.

"For what is life without unconditional love?"
This was such a beautiful book of poetry! I wasn't sure I was going to like or even understand this book fully, but it was so well written that I just fell in love with it! The pictures really add to the poetry as well. My favorite poem was Gentle Hand. These little poems all tie together so wonderfully, I just couldn't this one down until I finished it.
